OfficeJet 6700 Premium - how to set the default print quality of 'normal' of the "draft."

Hello

Thank you for your help.

I have a printer/all-in-one Officejet 6700 Premium.

Most of the documents that I print is for internal purposes, so "Draft" quality is sufficient.

The default factory on the print quality setting is 'Normal '. I know how manually enter and restore the "draft", but I'd rather have the defaultproject, so I have to reset it manually each time.

I could not find how to permanently fix the draft quality defect.

Again, thank you for your help.

George Mathis

Thanks George,

which is fully answering my question indeed

Please follow the steps below to change the quality of the printer:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. In the menu, click devices and printers.
  3. Right click on the HP Officejet 6700 icon.
  4. Click Printing Preferences.
  5. Enter the tab paper / quality .
  6. Select the project in the area of quality parameters.
  7. Click OK to save the settings.

Now any future printing will be in draft quality.

Kind regards

Shlomi

If you go only to send faxes with this product, you should not disable the receive function to operate correctly. Are you problems with the part of fax machine or you just think you can turn this feature off?

  • HP Officejet 6700 premium has applications in a stone printing

I have problems printing with HP Officejet 6700 Premium.  My impression always asks on the ground by having "quequed" and I can't seem to remove the item from "quequed" if I try to print my requests.  I tried to shut down my computer and restart it, but my print request is still in status 'stone '.  When I tried to "cancel all documents print", it did not because the article is still in status 'stone' and has not been deleted.  I tried to get out all my caps that were connected to my computer and my printer and restart the computer, and concluded that the question I wanted to be removed from the print job was still in status 'stone' so I couldn't print the next job.  This is not the first time it happened, but I'm frustrated and don't know how to fix the status of 'stone' so I can use the printer to print my requests.

    Hello

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the tasks within this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Definition of Officejet 6700 on Mac OS 10.6.8 print quality

Searched and searched and apparently all tried, but wondering how to... on a MAC OS 10.6.x you can set the DEFAULT print to the project.  I seem to be able to do this through some programs individual such as WORD, but I can't for the life of me find how to make the operating system print settings.

    Greetings @Oldruminator,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see by your post that you would like to know how to put the draft mode as default. I'd love to help you.

I suggest opening the software to edit text on the Mac and set the project mode and save the preset of this first application: printing and changing the settings of a Print.

So the next time you open an application to print, you have just to click the dropdown beside the Presets and select it from the list.

If you enjoy using, click on 'Accept as Solution' and 'Thumbs Up' buttons. Please hold me. Kind regards

  • HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium - How can I turn / adjust the automatic scanning of culture?

    Hello

How turn on, turn off or set automatic cropping on my scanner?

I keep getting picture errors when you try to scan a check to deposit into my car. Instead, the verification is automatically cropped I find I have to do it manually (as much as possible of the eye). I think that this manual effort contributes to mistakes of image, but maybe not. Previously, I had an AIO Photosmart C7280 printer and never had this problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Dan

I am told that the 6700 does not have the feature to automatically crop. Therefore, I use the custom function has been suggested earlier in this thread. I got used to it and it works fine. Next time, I'll make sure the printer I buy crop themselves automatically. I hope this helps.

Wasn't able to scan to the computer.  Follow the instructions in the Help Guide.  Under all programs select stock Scanner, double-click on handle scanning to computer and then click Activate.  I don't have those options available in the HP printer folder.

I reinstalled the software and still do not have these options.  The only way I can turn on the scan of the computer is the installation of the printer software.

Thank you, downloaded the software according to your instructions and installed.  I now manage scan computer option in the HP folder.

  • oficejet 6700 premium: HP Officejet 6700 Premium WIN 7 - double-sided print - back comes out backwards

HP Officejet 6700 Premium - os Win 7 - double sided printing - back comes out backwards. I TRIED TO DOUBLE-SIDE PRINTING, BOOKLET PRINTING, AND PRINTING GREETING CARDS. ALL OUT UPSIDE DOWN AND ALSO very small PRINT ON ONE SIDE OF THE PAPER HALF. HOW TO SET THE PRINTER SETTINGS BY DEFAULT OR CHANGE WHAT IS PAST?   Oh it then, I'm not yelling, just noticed the hats were on.

    Jay B.

    Hi @Jayburn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that the back comes out on top down, when duplex printing with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium, Windows 7. I am pleased to see that for you!

Please, take a look through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) for HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-all-in-one printer (H711). Follow the instructions for Windows.

    Guidelines General double-sided printing

Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or paper jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

    I hope this helps!

  • Scan to network with OfficeJet 6700 Premium

    Hello

I want to scan from my OfficeJet 6700 Premium on a network share on my NAS.

So far I was only able to scan my computer where I needed to install a pice of software. But I want to scan directly to the network share without count it in the middle.

    Thank you

    Mark

    Hello B7i,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand you want to scan to a shared folder (SIN) with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium. After watching the 6700 product specifications, this isn't one of the characteristics of the 6700 JO scanning, scanning capabilities include scanning to USB and PC key only:

That being said, you need to use the computer. Have a look here in your user's Guide on Page 38, it gives you all the scan options.

I'm sure you already know what options you have in the front of the 6700 but for later use, I'll leave that for you: the façade scanning options

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium error 0 x 00000709 cannot set the default printer

I bought my new HP Officejet 6700 Premium on February 1, 2013. I use a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop under Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation seems to give no problem. However I'm unable to set the default printer and have the error message 0 x 00000709. Excel, Adobe, Outlook does not allow me to print.

I spoke to the HP printer Department February 1st and they sent me some software of diagnosis which I sent back. I called again on 6 February and was told my problem was always open and they were trying to reproduce the problem (it appears on the net without a patch work). It is now February 10, and I hope the good people of HP to recall with a solution soon. You try to run a small business with no printer is not ideal.

Someone at - it else ecountered this problem, and you have a solution.

I ran HP utility, installed uninstalled the driver etc etc etc.

I seem to have fixed the problem by changing in the registry keys. If HP wants a donation to charity, I would be happy to provide it to them :-)

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Unable to connect to the server

I used my 6700 for almost a year and a half to work on a secure server of company where I couldn't use many features. I recently brought home, and now I use it on my personal network of houses. I followed the instructions on reprint the code of request but were unsuccessful. I constantly get a message that my printer is unable to conect to the server. My network wireless printing has been set up and I was able to print from my phone, laptop, & office. Can someone help me please my claim code?

    Hey @bhigh904,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to activate the services Web on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

When users encounter this type of problem, I usually suggest from scratch with the radio of the printer and webservices configuration.  You can clear all of these parameters in a swoop by the factory default restore * your printer.

    Here's how:

    * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom address @hpeprint.com it is permanently erased. For more information about custom addresses ePrint, click here.

    • The printer's front panel, press the Setup/key icon and then tap tools
    • Select Restore to factory settings

Then, touch the wireless icon () and run the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore your network connection.

Make a note of the IP address of the printer.  Then, follow these steps to configure a manual DNS:

    • Enter the printer's IP address in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) and press ENTER to go directly to this page.
    • Click the network tab.
    • In the submenu on the left, click Networking.
    • Then click on the network (IP) address.
    • Click Manual DNS server.
    • DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8 manual entry
    • Auxiliary DNS server entry as 8.8.4.4
    • Click on apply to finalize this change.

Then, press the icon of Webservices () and reactivate your webservices (necessary for scan to e-mail, ePrint and other features).

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem and that you liked this post, feel free to give me virtual accessories by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and by accepting this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: Unable to connect to the new network HP 6700

I just changed networks and want to connect my HP Officejet 6700 Premium to the new network.

In the control panel of the printer, I accessed network / Wireless Installation Wizard.  When I do, I get the message:

    Locking function

This feature has been locked by your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.

There is an OK button, but no other options.

I get the same message when I tried to access a WiFi Protected Setup, and, for good measure, the default system restore.

There is no administrator, in itself, because I'm the one who has set up the printer.  I'm rulnning a MacBook Pro on OS X El Capitan.

Please, help me to know what I need to do to connect my printer to the network so I can print.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer and especially for providing additional resources should what was being offered as a solution to not work.

I have tried your solution several times and kept getting the same message.  I tried shuttig the printer off by pulling on the power cord, stop in the right way, reverse iin, etc..  Nothing removed the error.

Then I took the printer to a local Best Buy to show them the problem, which was at home.  We tried it a few times, and then, for no reason whatsoever (seems), it allowed us to do a reset.  No one knows what was different.

My advice for anyone with the same problem is completely unplug it, let it sit for a while, keep trying and hope for the best.

  • OfficeJet 6700 premium print date and time on the fax history report

Running Windows 8.1 on my OfficeJet 6700 Premium AIO H711n fails to print the date and time on the historic report of the fax.  I need this information to check the box of cylinder head of the fax the documents have been sent.

    Hello dcflorida,

I did not the 6700 but on another machine, I had to 'reset', time and date in the printers preferences.

If you haven't done it yet, go to Settings/preferences/time and Date on the All in One printer set up (once again if necessary).

IF your machine does not have the time / date on the history report, it includes it in the Confirmation page?

Here is the link to the Manual too.
