  So, I'm new to this.  I have photosmart c7250 all-in-one.  My laptop has windows Vista premium edition.  Whenever I'm trying to install the printer, it shows no printer found.  I can find it via the control panel when I add a printer.  My laptop computer and printer are both active on my wireless network.  I can even print to it wireless.  It will spit out a blank page before every page it prints.  The printer is not only found during installation.  I got the printer working fine before.  I had to get my laptop, now I have this problem.

  Based on the description of yourself, I recommend 2 steps mentioned below...

  1. Run the s/w CD, you will be prompted with options such as adding a device, install more software etc... Click on "Install more software", click on "HP Solution Center" if it is present.
  2. Root access file middle for scanning to work. To do this, you must click START > computer > program (x 86) > HP > Digital Imaging > Bin . Locate the hpiscnapp.exe file, do a right click on it and then "send to desktop" > Desktop (Createshort Cup).

  Double-click the created short that would open the scanining interface.

  I got the All in One printer it even not a month ago, and it worked very well for about a week. Now, all of a sudden, this isn't paper. It seems that the rubber rollers not grasp the paper and the bar to hold the rollers is very loose. On the rare occasions that the printer pulls a piece of paper through it tries to turn on your side and ends up increased inside the printer and do not get out of the other side.   Make sure that the system restore does not monitor the external drive.  SR does need to control the system drive and to the system drive, SR has only about 1 GB of space max.  Make a right click my computer and select properties then the System Restore tab to configure SR.

  Make sure that the Indexing Service is turned off (at least for the external drive).  To disable disk indexing completely, which will also speed up your computer a bit, see http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp.  For the external drive, right-click on the drive icon in my computer, select properties and uncheck the indexing disc
