OfficeJet 7410 wireless configuration

I have an OfficeJet 7410 all in one on a Windows 7 system.  I want to print wireless from my laptop to the printer.  I installed drivers and can print when connected but don't know how to print wireless.  Specific help would be greatly appreciated

The printer should accept WPA but not WPA2 and it may not even accept WPA/WPA2 mixed mode.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 7410: your printer cannot be found on your wireless network

I have a home network and two printers connected wirelessly. One is HP Laserjet P1102w and works very well. The other is all-in-one HP Officejet 7410 and I am not able to connect to it. I installed the HP software, but it fails to detect the printer. It was working fine before the update from Windows 8.1 for Windows 10.

I am able to ping the printer IP. If I enter the IP address on my browser I see the printer (see photo below) and it let me scan (see photo display preview).  But I could not find where to go the scan! It is not in my scans.

I ran HP print and Scan doctor and it shows the HP Officejet 7400 series. When I select and press Next, it says: failed to communicate with your selected product. I noticed that the IP address is slightly different from the actual IP address that has the format: xx.x.x.xx. Than that shown is xx.x.xxx. Which ' don't know if it's part of the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What router?  You can get in its settings? If so, search for "Isolation wireless" or just "insulation" and disable it.  This setting blocks communication between customers Wi-wired and on the router.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: I got a new modem and the router. I uninstalled the HP software, but wizzard wireless configuration is locked.

I uninstalled the software so I could start over.  Configuration Wizzard is locked and I can not understand how to get unlock.

    Hi @bobbalou,

Thank you for visiting the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you replaced your modem and router, but could not connect your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to the new network, because the wireless configuration wizard is locked. I would like to help with that.

Try to restore the default network before attempting to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

    1. on the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.

    2. press on the installation program icon.

    3. tap network, then press the default network.

If you are able to restore the default settings of the network is should allow you to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

If you're locked up because he had a password set in place on the printer, you will need the password to access the server (EWS) of embedded printer online web to change the settings of the printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • Wireless for HP OfficeJet 6500 a configuration more all-in-One on Ubuntu 10.04

I bought a HP OfficeJet 6500 has more all-in-One CN557A, I want to use with ubuntu 10.04 64 bits as a wireless network printer.
Before, I bought, I checked the compatibility on www.hplipopensource.org and www.openprinting.org, and everything was in order.
The machine is detected automatically and fully functional when connected with a usb cable, but I failed to operate as a wireless printer.
    That's what I did:

I configured the printer on the network (through the interface of the printer), and it connects. It prints a 'Wireless Network Test report', and everything works. I can ping the local ip address and access it via the browser. HP eprint also works.

I installed hplip 3.11.10 and dependencies manually. I did this because the default hplip in ubuntu 10.04 did not recognize the device.

I ran 'hp-check', who gave without errors or warnings:

  • How to connect to the HP Officejet 6500 wireless printer

I recently bought the printer portable officejet 6500 from costco. Initially, I have it connected via a USB port on my laptop and follow the instructions in the CD. I also activated the wireless to the printer. Now, I'm trying to connect to the printer from my office laptop. I have not installed anything on my office laptop. I went into Control Panel, printers and tried to add this printer. I'm assuming that, given that the printer is already selected for the wireless, I thought that I'll be able to see that when I add a printer. When I tried to add the printer its asking me a URL. I tried to get the printer Network Setup page portable officejet 6500, but the URL does not work. I need to install the CD that came with the printer portable officejet 6500 on my offcelaptop to make it work? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

@hanleyn, I'd be happy to help you with this problem.

You will need to go to your settings of the printer.

    1. Select network settings.

    2. Select the wireless configuration wizard

After perform you these steps, you need to get on the computer and to update the IP address. (It would occur on the printer on the Network Configuration Page).

    Then go to the computer.

    1. click on Start Menu

    2. Select all programs

    3 select the HP folder

    4. Select the name of the computer

    5. click on the IP ADDRESS UPDATE or wireless configuration.

    6. put the new ip address in the place.

  • OfficeJet 8500 Wireless problem

Hello - my printer all-in-one Officejet 8500 wireless worked fine until I replaced my router to a BT Home Hub 4. I have no problem with the router, but to use the wireless printer, I need to enter the key wireless, so it can connect it. Unfortunately, the upper half of the touch pad on the printer (where you select settings, etc.) does not seem to respond to touch the most so I have no way I know to enter the wireless key. The lower half of the touchpad where you select print options etc. seems to work very well.

Is there a way I can work around by using the button on the printer? That's my problem can be solved easily or do I need an engineer visit?

I use a MacBook Pro and iPad to print from then I am unable to use HP Print & Scan Doctor (although I could use that I don't know if this can help with the kind of problem I have).

    Please can someone help?

    Hey heavy-lou.

I see that you have an Officejet 8500 Wireless and have a problem with the get connected to your BT Home Hub 4 router due to a problem with the screen on the printer.  I understand that you want to use the wireless printer, but it can be a little difficult to connect via the front panel with the display problem you mention.

Temporarily, I would advise the printer connected with an Ethernet cable to get a valid IP address on the BT Home Hub 4.  Due to the display problem, it can be difficult to print a page of Network Configuration of the device.  However, the steps to do so can be found here.  However, you can access the SAP (built-in web server) the BT Home Hub 4 by typing the IP address of the network domain in a browser bar and pressing ENTER.  Once here you find the complete list of devices connected to the network and see what IP the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless is assigned.

Once you have the IP address of the printer, you can then type the following in a browser's address bar to access the Web integrated printer server.  In this section, you will be able to select the network tab and run the Wireless Setup Wizard is located in the SAP of the printer.  It will be able to bypass the display problem.  If necessary, check the encryption for the printer settings in the EWS network section to make sure that the settings are compatible with the current encryption on your network type (WEP, WPA, etc.).  Once the complete wireless Setup Wizard it will ask that the product be disconnected Ethernet network that the printer is supported both at the same time.

I would like to know if it is able to help get your printer connected wireless to your BT Home Hub 4

    Thanks for any help.

Hi Raindrop211 and welcome to the forums of HP!

I'm sorry to hear you had problems with the solution Center HP regarding your Officejet 7410, but I will certainly do my best to help out

It really looks like that something is not to proceed with the installation correctly, so to start I would like that you start by removing the software HP using HP Officejet software and driver removal utility and then once it is removed, I would like to you clear your Temp folder as well.

Once this is done, I would recommend that you reboot your PC and then go to download and run the HP printer installation wizard as it should be able to download and install the most recent drivers for you.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

Can the Officejet 6500 wireless to support ethernet connections and wireless at the same time?

I have correctly configured my printer to work with a wired ethernet connection, but cannot operate wireless. I suspect that it is not possible to use both modes of network at the same time.

  • OfficeJet 7410 Driver Install on Windows Mobile 8.1

I'm trying to install the HP OfficeJet 7410 all-in-one printer driver.   I downloaded the HP Printer Wizard, the printer has detected and started the installation.    I also ran printing HP and doctor scan which has also detected the printer (in a network) and started the installation.   These two tools, download and run the installation package AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.   This is the process fails.   The software is installed, and then seeks to determine the printer - my printer is connected to the network via ethernet.   When the software does not find the printer, I restart the scan, it fails.  Finally, I wonder if I want to enter the IP (192.168.0.102), and I re - search for the printer.  Saying the direct IP address software does not work, he doesn't know how to find the printer.   I can ping, I can access the printer web page, the PC can connect to the printer and find, the installation of driver software does not work.   To reconfigure the printer and the laptop to use it wireless to repeat the search - always the software can't find the printer, so do not install the print driver or the installation of the software.   If I run the HP Solution Center, it will fail, telling me to set up the printer.   I went through this process as well - he too fails to find the printer.

How can I get the software to recognize the printer so that the installation may complete and I can use the scanner/printer/etc. ?

    Hello

Download and install the following software:

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL30951/MP-110165-3/AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe

Please let me know how it goes,

    Shlomi

  • OfficeJet 7410 & WPA2

I have a MAC wireless network and I can not connect my Officejet 7410.  The only options on the 7410 wireless are wep and wpa (not wpa2).  Y at - it a firmware update that will allow WPA2?  I am also unable to reach my printer when it is connected directly to the MAC Time capsule.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

It should take WPA - TKIP, but the display say WEP.  Try it.

In addition, and I know this sounds strange, but change the Router 2.4 GHz channel to 11.
