Jam - HP Officejet 8500 pro error - please help, not deployed to M.E. no return w/lovely HP option

I have a month old HP Officejet 8500 Pro, which suddenly give a paperjam error message.  There is no paper jam.  I spoke with HP Technical Support making long resets even blow the bowels to air without result.  It must be a simple mistake.  I saw it reported on other boards, but it seems that everyone is simply trading on their printers.  Not an option, like HP, in their infinite wisdom will not replace a defective unit overseas.

I thought that there is a paper feed guide that hung above the paper tray.  It's hangin' is low... but maybe I was mistaken. If I tilt the printer back it will feed and eject a page, but not print.

If someone at HP would be so likely to enlighten me I would willingly do what is necessary to take part, or whatever...

    Hi @Horseshoer,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are not able to communicate by fax using the ADF on your HP Officejet 8500 printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that you are able to fax using the scanner, which is nice to hear. I also see that you mentioned that you are able to copy of the set 'auto '. Are you referring to the ADF (automatic document feeder) or the feeder?

If you are able to copy multiple pages using the ADF, fax should also work. The printer may have a little problem, that can solve a reset.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

If you have a computer that is running Windows 7 or an earlier version, I would update to the firmware of the printer. Clickherefor the download page.

If you are unable to update the firmware of the printer, I suggest to try partial reset or Semi - full Reset. I can send you this information in a private message. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • HP Officejet 8500 printer A909b does not connect to ethernet wired network.

This is my first time on a forum & I am hopeing for some successes my network with printer setting

    .

I am networking two PC Win XP, SP3, running with a printer Officejet 8500 A909b via a Netgear router.

Previously, I had the printer connected by USB to a PC as needed with no problems except having to change the USB between PC to print.

I tried several times to uninstall and reinstall the printer software, disabled the firewall & Anti virus, reset the router, reset the printer network settings & them restarted everything with no success.

I printed the network configuration page & tried to enter the address EWS (http://0.0.0.0) in the browser Web without success either.

I found the lights on the printer on the ethernet port does not at all & tried four different ethernet cables all work elsewhere. I tried all four ports ethernet to the router also.

Thanks in advance for any help I receive.

    Hello

As network lights are not flashing when the cable is connected and the PC works with the same cable, which seems to be a faulty network card defectueuse on printer, please contact HP and they should be able to help in this regard.

  • OfficeJet 8500 A910: Officejet 8500 A910 think all black cartridges are empty

OfficeJet 8500 A910 keeps telling me to replace the black cartridge to continue printing.

First, I removed the cartridge (which was 3/4 full), he looked at it and put it in.  I was able to print 10 pages until it gave me the same message.  I did once again and was able to print 2 pages.  Finally, I put in a new cartridge.  The printer told me it was happy.  I printed 10 pages until the replacement cartridge message came again.  I removed the new cartridge and put it again.  Print more than 10 pages.  Now it does not PRINT because the printer think to replace the full cartridge.  I tried to close, replacement print head cleaning all ports.  cleaning the contacts of the cartridge and print head, changing the yellow cartridge.  NOTHING IS THERE FACT.

It seems that the sensor is messed up, but where is this sensor?  O for the day where I was allowed originally instead of the treatment of the HP me as I have the brain of a worm.  If I could just disable all the sensors on this printer, it works fine, but HP wants to control everything, so nothing works.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Anyone find one solution other than a new printer?

  • OfficeJet 8500 has stops at "now printing" After sleeping

Hi, Windows7 laptop computer, USB wire link for all-in-one Officejet 8500 printer has produced no CM755A, serial no CN0CKAR15R:

It prints OK when turned on first of all, then sleeps if not used for a few minutes as planned. But on sending the print order following its ' small screen wakes up & now a "printing" on it, but nothing else!   It won't work even once if I turn off, put in pause, then turn it back and return the print order.

I tried a soft reset using the network voltage electrical on/off/on in the order they advised me on this forum, without effect. It is powered directly from the wall jack via a single good quality extension for this only, & no power surge protection.

    Any ideas please?

I would make sure I had the latest firmware for the printer. I included a link to the update of the firmware here. In addition, you could disable energy saving mode in the configuration menu of the printer and go to preferences and scroll down and deactivation of the mode of energy.

Let me know if it helps.

    HP Officejet 8500 first.

Printer is connected to my home wireless network and wireless to my HP Pavilion laptop (which is in the same room).

I felt for a few years and I do a LOT of scans to myself on my e-mail and rarely have problems.

About a month ago, I got a new wireless router, and the problems started.

I had the wireless configuration.  Printer connect to my home wireless.

If I try to scan to e-mail, I get a message "unable to connect to the server. Check the address and the name of the server.

I can print from my laptop very well (wireless)

I have run the wireless network test report (which incidentially, does NOT use the default tray as specified in default values, so I have to remove the media in a status bar and replace them with paper to make turn this test).

    All passes.

    very good signal strength.

    everything looks great.

I connect to my router (from my wireless laptop).

My router says that the printer is on the network.

I turned off/power on router to reset.

I tried the reset network default printer and returning via the wireless Assistant.

I tried another wireless (5g below)

I got the preferred wireless network name and password several times.

I turned the printer deactivation / activation.

The router includes a 5 GHz (802.11 a + n), but the printer never sees this SSID, and tried manually enter the name and password as well.

I get the same error every time.

Sounds like you arehaving problems with scanning to email. Can you tell me first if you have tried all the other email accounts other than the one you are using. According to the security on the SMTP servers for the customer, you will have to go and try another account. I suggest to make a Gmail account and attempt to put in place the new feature.

I would like to know how this happens, and I'll get back right with you!

My OfficeJet 8500 has more analysis not evenly.  The upper left area is darker than the rest of the document.  A way to fix this?

If you have performed all troubleshooting, including the cleaning of the surface of glass scanner, then I would say you are right in your assessment of the defect.  How long have you had the replacement product?

However, I have one last thing, I would like for you to try.  I have the steps for to do you a factory reset on the printer.  I'll send them to you via private message.  Please check your Inbox for messages in the forum.  Before you perform these steps, please read Bob_Headrick wire on the printer reset, found here.

If the product is still under warranty, then I suggest call HP for Technical Support on this device.  If you are in the USA / Canada, then the number to dial is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are not in this area, please click here to access the global contact list for HP Technical Support.

  • OfficeJet 8500 AIO hosting on Server 2008 32-bit

Using business Vista 32-bit drivers I am unable to share our HP OfficeJet 8500 printers on our server in Windows 2008 print server.  The HP driver Wizard will appear and try to install as I'm installing on a desktop computer.  And because this server is a virtual machine it does not work because there is no USB support.

Someone been able to make it work on Server 2008?  It works fine on my Windows Server 2003 print server that is not a virtual machine.

    Hi Ryan,

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.

I have an idea that can help solve your problem:

1 extract the exe of corporate pilot

    2. open Autorun.inf with Notepad

    3. go in the section [SystemRequirements] (not [SystemRequirements.501] or some other qualification)

    4. Add "MinUsbReady = 3' in this section

    5. save the file

    6. run setup.exe and then the program does not block your free USB port installation

Please keep in mind that you are try this at your own risk. Please let me know how it works for you. I'm very interested and want to help.

  • OfficeJet 8500 A909a: Drivers won't load not

I try to install my Officejet 8500 A909a (that I have connected to my wireless network) on my laptop. I go to the tab drivers and software, select the correct printer, and brings it to the top of the page where it is supposed to compile the list of drivers. The page says "HP is compile your results." It could take up to 3 minutes, depending on the speed of your computer and connection. Thank you for your patience. "The page has been loading for more than 30 minutes without any search results. I tried to add the printer in the "devices and printers". The printer is recognized by the laptop, but do not print due to not having a driver. Help! • HP Officejet 8500 a e-all-in-one: Officejet 8500 A progressively less black ink prints

    Greetings,

I have an Officejet 8500 a e-all-in-one, which was a little finiky when it print black ink. It prints well in the morning and for most of the day, but sometimes late in the afternoon, it will print progressively less black ink until it stops completely. When he is left alone during the night, it will start printing without any problems again in the morning. The amount that we will print does not seem to have an effect. It will do the days where we printed almost anything just as often we are printing constantly throughout the day.

There is a laptop connected via the USB port and two other people who connect via radio. A computer has 10 64 - bit Windows, Windows 64 - bit to 8.1, the last is a macbook. Printing problems are are produced through two connections.

There is no problems with the ink cartridges, they are brand new and in Full ink levels report.

The printer has aligned the printheads several times with success.

I ran to the printhead cleaning several times and it had no effect.

I took the print heads and cleaned the contacts on the back and in the machine.

There has been no error on machines or computers.

At this point I'm not sure if it's a matter of ink clogged or if it is somehow overheating.
