  Have you checked the telephone line from the wall with a phone to ensure that you have the tone?

  Ink level low don't effect function fax, BUT if a level of ink is exhausted/empty you cannot use the fax because the printer stops during warm-up.

  Multiple pages cannot be faxes from the top of the page charger with any fax inkjet HP with an ADF, glass flat.

  As a solution, if you send a media that cannot be placed on the charger, you can scan pages of the glass in a single file using the program scan HP and by fax of the digitized document (select the fax printer in the print dialog box).

• HP OFFICE JET 4630 printer: HP officejet all-in-one 4630

  Printer HP 4630 will sleep (extended) every time I have stop printing for about 10 minutes.  When I try to print a different document/photo I have to press the power button to wake it up.  I then have to close the wireless connection, and then reconnect the wireless connection using the printer menu.

  How can I stop the printer to go into hibernation?  I like to keep the printer on 24/7, unless I turn it off.  In other words, make a 'real' power button power button.  How am I susposed to print from my laptop currencies if I continue to go to the printer to wake up from hibernation and reset the wireless connection?

  I hope someone can resolve this issure for me!  Thank you...

  If I understand your description your printer will not wake up or answer when you send a print job, unless you turn off and turn back on again. It seems to me that the problem is with the wireless connection. When you turn off the printer, and the back is re-establish the connection. We will set a static IP address and see if that fixes the problem so.

  There is no option to turn off the sleep function, you can change the time it takes to fall into the mode "sleep", but not turn it off. Instead, please use the following document to assign the printer a static IP address: 4630 Officejet HP and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-all-in-one printer series - printer does not maintain the wireless connection. Simply scroll three Solution: the printer of the assign a static IP address.  If the problem persists, start at the top of the document that the solutions presented relate to connection problems.

  I am trying to install the HP software for my 8600 Officejet printer all-in-one.  I'm at the point where installation implemented asks me to select the device you want to configure.  There are two devices, which are both the same 8600 printer (have the same IP address listed in "Détails" field), but each has a different 'link' listed.  A watch his connection as 'IP', the other as "Hello".  Which should I choose to be the device to set up for the installation of the software?  The type of connection made a difference of function?  Thank you.

  Bought a new HP Officejet 4635 all-in-one today.  Installation is complete, do not print anything.  Run wireless on Windows 8.1.  The Test results wireless network print, says no problem found.  Unable to print from the internet, word or excel (from Office 365).  Already reinstalled printer twice.  I don't get an error message, the work appears in the queue but then disappears without printing anything.  I don't have Norton or MacAfee.  Help!   What was the error message?  When you try to copy is a blank page out or are there flashing lights or an error message?  If there is no impression then I suggest the contacts of the cartridge cleaning as shown here.

  I would say to uninstall all old software of the printer, if you updated to Windows 10. Then, download and install the latest drivers from HP. Here is the link OJ4630_198.exe

  If the printer does not work, the option would be to ignore the printer software updates or you can try these external resources, which have some progress.

  Just got my new printer. Its fine except when I try to scan or copy a document, the copy has several black & grey lines coming down on the left hand side taking a third of the sheet of paper A4.  It also appears on the copy preview screen.  The glass of the copier is clean.  Anyone have any ideas on what I should do.  Thank you

  Looks like you already did all the normal troubleshooting steps to solve this issue.

  I found this document in order to check to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever;  Vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes, or scans.

  NOTE: It takes sometimes 2 or 3 cleanings to correct the problem - and it could be particles or scratches on the glass, white backup or even along the edge of the glass.

  If the problem persists, I would Contact the HP Support for help. Check the model number and the form to receive a case number. You can view all the other ways to connect with HP in their list of support Options.
