OfficeJet L7680 - thick horizontal white lines when printing faxes and fed through copies

Fine prints from the computer.

Print fine, but now when you print a fax or copy a fed, I'm thick horizontal white lines making it impossible to read some of the impression.

It was suggested to me to uninstall and then reinstall as a power surge may have corrupted a file create this problem. Cannot figure out how unintall it. It does not appear in my program announcements. to remedy this, I downloaded an updated driver. Did not help.

Hello sz6,.

Looks like you may need to clean the lid of the scanner printer and it's other components.

See this troubleshooting article for step by step instructions.

Vertical stripes, lines or streaks on Copies, faxes or scan

This article can also help to solve your problem.

Received faxes are empty or have vertical lines

Articles specifically mention the vertical lines, but given that printing works very well and it has only the faxes or scans I think that information is still valid.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Thin vertical lines when printing photos

The printer referenced did a fabulous job to print photographs.  In this case, the printer is fairly recent and has recently recently consumed the original cartridges when it was decided to try to use it for photo printing.  Therefore, the fabulous results were extracted relatively new cartridges and consisted of at least a dozen photo printing in various sizes.  Then all of a sudden these thin vertical straight lines began to appear in print.  They are equidistant on the full image.  That they appear in the printed image.  When using paper letter (8.5 x 11) to print an image cropped at 8 x 10 with landscape orientation spacing is about 1 1/8 (one and one-eighth) inches or 8 evenly spaced vertical lines.  Somewhat like the photo was divided into 8 columns.

According to the printer built in ink gauge, that the cartridges are now just a little more than half full.

These lines are narrow enough so that they are not very visible when printing on normal paper (copy).  They would probably be imperceptible on many kinds of printed documents.  However, they become quite noticeable and reprehensible when using good quality (in this case HP) photo paper to print photos.

Absence of a printer resolution is not good for photo printing.

In addition to the troubleshooting suggests that the problem is not due to the printer, but rather to the software used to perform the printing. It was not immediately obvious that I printed only photos using Picasa and it worked fine and then all of a sudden the problem developed. However, I have now tried to print the same photos with other software and there is no problem for the steps.

The Picasa forum also has many messages wanting to be the same or a similar problem to what I have experienced. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an explanation for a repeatable cause, nor a specific solution. Some hacking autour with the settings and options seems to be in order. If it does not then print with other software may be necessary.

  • Satellite L300D-20R - horizontal white line on screen

Switched my laptop this morning and the display is simmering and seems to have a shadow. The top 2 inches is OK; under the tent of 2 inches, there is a horizontal white line about 1/16 "thick. below this line, the screen is simmering, appears dark and foggy.

What can I do to fix this?

That's better than you can do. I assume that the display is faulty somehow.

using the color laserjet 3600n - I want to print in black and white, but it prints black and white negative.  * beep *.

I was able to recreate what you see.   I managed to work around it by installing a different driver that is also supposed to be compatible with the CLJ3600.

Please consider trying this as a possible solution:

    (1) uninstall the driver CLJ3600 by opening printers and fax machines, driver selection and right-click on it and select Delete.  Once it is removed, right-click on an empty space in the windows printers and faxes and select Server properties.  Click the driver tab, click the CLJ3600 and then click on remove.

One when you're done, restart, and then install the CLJ3500 driver.  This is a previous version of the driver that has been implemented for the CLJ3600 and is compatible with the CLJ3600.

    After installation, try printing again.

The output I have indicates it will print is more negative.  Please let me know if you have success.

One caveat about this solution.  The Color LaserJet 3500 doesn't support duplex.  Of workaround only works for two printing on the package of basic or the Color LaserJet 3600 N.

  • horizontal lines when printing photos

I have an Officejet Pro 8600. When I print photos I threw 3 lines horizontal light through the photos on 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 to the bottom of each photo. I changed to the best print quality and personalized and always get the lines.

I would like to look at this here document that addresses the issues of print quality for your printer model.  As soon as you select your operating system, so that it will drop down give information on how to address the shortcomings of production for the printer.  Down on this page, it will be an example of a picture with horizontal lines. From there, it will tell you how to solve the problem.  Once the solutions you mentioned to change the print settings. But there are other things to try listed after this one. I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: vertical line when scanning

I get a vertical line when I scan using the document feeder.  I do not understand when scanning the glass plate. I need assistance to access the mirror slider.  I raised the lid for the loading of documents, but I couldn't find out how to get under the rollers to clean the mirror. Thank you

The document here can help solve the black lines to scan using the ADF on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  From my experience this is almost always caused by a specification on the thin glass on the side left which is used for scanning using the ADF.  Cleaning of this area as described in the above document should solve the problem.  If the initial cleanup does not resolve the problem, it can help to shine a bright flashlight almost parallel to the glass.  For a line on the left side of the printed page, the place will be toward the front of the printer, if the line is on the right side of the document, it must correspond to a specification to the rear of the printer.

    Hello

This line is presented permanently and you already tried to connect your computer to an external display to check if you have the same problem on it?
If Yes, you have a serious problem and it cannot be hollow fixed an update of the BIOS, or something. You should immediately contact an ASP in local,
and they will do a hardwarecheckup and a repair on your machine. If you need a link, here´s a global Locator ASP, where you can find near the ASP in your country:

  • Does not recognize a narrow black border a white border when printing without margins

    Photosmart D7460, Vista 64 bit,

If I put a white border around a picture with a narrow black border outside a photograph and select borderless printing knows no black and white borders and prints the image within the borders to the edge of the page.

If I want white edges around pictures and a full letter size print, I get a border that is wider at the bottom than at the top of the page.

Can I configure it to print even a white border around the photo of the letter size?

    and

Can I get the printer to recognize a border color around an image when printing without margins?

I have only access to the X 2 version, here's a predetermined print schema.

Note the Center on the page option.

You can use the balance: option to increase or decrease the white border.

  • (Horizontal) white line across the screen

    Hello

I have a student who has a white line through its screen (from top to bottom) anyone know if it's fixable. He said he intervened on his netbook. Fair enough.

I know it might be a small crack in the screen. But I'm leaning toward a loose connection somewhere behind the screen maybe.

I think that this should be provided by the system that we have in this school.

But if anyone has come across this before? Usually, if it's a cracked screen there are scratches on the screen and you can't see a thing. It's different.

The experince or ideas would be appreciated.

    Hello and welcome,

Unfortunately... LCD screen which you electronic delicate not obvious a great split, the pressure that could be produced pixel small fine lines... 1 or 2 at first... .lines will get more after a given period of time isn't...

to heal this... change the LCD...

but aware... .the cost, when to change that in local service (sparepart & technician), could be about the price for a new Ideapad...

  • Photomerge produces white lines when using RAW (PEF) but not TIFF

I just started using PS CC (Mac, v14.1.2) and tried Photomerge with a set of 40 (4 lines, 10 passes) raw (Pentax PEF format) images, with the result picture 0.3 gigapixels.

When I sewed them by Photomerge, I see thin white lines in the melting points.

I had activated all 3 options (mix together tile images, deletion, geometric distortion correction), using cylindrical available.

When I have everything first to convert the PEF at TIFF and use Photomerge with the same options, there is no white lines.

An example of the wrong exit:

    Screen Shot 2013-11-30 at 17.49.29.PNG

These unwanted lines are, of course, on the edges where the images are meet.

    In addition, when you use only a few images (2 x 2 or 3 x 3 or even 4 x 5), I don't get this effect.

I noticed that when you use fewer images, edges of the layer masks are not straight - but they are when I see this problem. This suggests that, at some point, the merge operation gets overwhelmed and going on to a simple algorithm, which in turn has this 'bug' with RAW images, apparently.

Is this a known problem, and is there a way to get this working right with that, many images RAW/PEF?

    Trevor,

The options that I have used with PhotoMerge are mentioned in my first post.

'Automatic merging of layers' with the option 'Seemless '.... "necessary checked much more disk space (scratch) than the PhotoMerge operation (PhotoMerge became as well as about 35 GB, while the automatic layer merging was not yet satisfied with 60 GB of free disk space).

And your proposal was right! With the operation of auto-merge layers, lines appear no more!

This result, as well as the greatest need of memory, gives to think that the operation of PhotoMerge does not use the option "smooth", but it should offer this option, or even automatically use when there RAW files as input.

In any case, thanks for solving this.
