OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 continous (not of paper) paper jam error
As soon as the printer powers on it the ink carrier Wizz backward real quick (as he struggles to move) and then gives me a paper jam error (the resume light flashes and error appears on my screen). He did the same thing when I try to print anything (including the status report page).
When I up the access panel upward (power on), the carrier of ink isn't even move to ink cartridges which can be changed. I try to move with force, but it does not move (if I use more strength, somethings will break). Ink is a bit new, so I don't know it still has ink in there.
The steps I've tried:
plugged the power supply into the wall outlet
THERE IS NO PAPER or PAPER PIECES BETWEEN ROLLERS (I checked like 20 times)
reset the printer
There is a large black gear coupled to a white average speed on the left side near the bottom of the printer. I manually drove the speed by pressing (rotation) of North (or forward or to the rear of the printer) for a few seconds and once I did that. the ink carrier was able to move as it's supposed to, and I could see the ink. but once the power is back on, the carrier of ink was in the locked position and fights again and gives me the paper jam error.
I don't have really any troubleshooting documents on the CV online on how to fix a jammed media of ink and clearing paper jams, so I'm out of options.
It is plugged into USB
The main problem is the paper jam error.
I don't know if the stuck carrier of ink is the cause.

Thank you for the update. You can get the serial number of the printer using the HP utility on your computer. You must have the printer software installed to get the same thing.
Try the following steps to get the serial number.
- Go to 'Finder' - select 'Applications' - folder Select "HP" or "Hewlett Packard".
- Now find and open the "HP utility.
- Click on "device information. Ideally, this should give details of the printer including the serial number.
Let me know if this helps. Good luck!
See you soon

When turned on, our 6700 OfficeJet 6 - months, goes through the boot process, makes a gear grinding noise and finally stops with an error message of paper jam. I went through all the steps to remove a paper jam (there was no paper to clear) except the cleaning rollers. It of as if the gear in the duplex unit is not quite the tail with his partner in the printer, but not sure. I checked to make sure that the rollers turn freeling. The duplexer gear is a little tight, but it does not move. Any ideas?
It seems that this printer has developed an internal problem. From the sounds of it, the issue is the release mechanism for the transport of the print head.
There is a document to help out the noisy operation found printer here. This can have a few extra steps for troubleshooting paper jam you have already done.
I would also try re-allocation of places the duplexer if she appears out of alignment. However, if the problem persists, then it will be a hardware problem that the next step is replacement of the product.
If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

I just took my HP officejet 4630 out of the box and after that remove all tape and in plugging him in she told me there is a paper jam. I did everything the box display them said, but still not able to print anything. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Resume and be replaced by the store.
Trying to find the experts today to help me clear a jam paper at the back of my printer. It is not accessible and the back seems to be sealed, unlike other printers that have a removable back at the factory. Hope I found the right place.
You can access paper jams from the bottom of the printer, instead of the back/rear:
- Turn on the printer, if it isn't already on.
We have a rear door paper jam, but can not reach the paper - the paper is too small and too deep inside the printer. How can we delete this? Thank you.
If you have access to a service manual, then you'd be able to find concrete steps to clear the jam. We can link to the Service manuals on open forums, but you can find floating around on 3 sites of third parties.
Otherwise, I would suggest integrating the printer a HP support certified area. They can make the most complex repairs for you.
You also have the possibility to communicate directly with HP support if you have the remaining warranty on the printer. If a representative of phone you can't walk through the process on the phoen they may be able to send a tech or swap on the printer for you according to the seriousness of the problem. Standard stuff for warranty support for the machines.
I have a HP LaserJet 1022 and when I turned it on, nothing else has happened except a flashing caution light. There was no noise and nothing happens.
I checked a few times for any signs of paper jam, but that's clearly not is why so I took the print cartridge and it has inspected.
The imaging drum (which is the green part of the cartridge here in this link
http://www.Google.com.my/imgres?UM=1&hl=en&SA=N&TBO=d&BIW=1366&BiH=631&TBM=isch&tbnid=ceXkLCzurUwVaM... If I'm not mistaken had to be clean and intact. My Imaging drum has words on it in black ink which is still wet that was obviously left by previous print jobs.
Also when it is connected to the computer without pop - ups nothing displayed on the computer screen.
So this could be the problem of why the printer does not work?
Any help is very appreciated!
Here is a document that deals with the flashing light in your printer model. It will give a possible scenarios on how the lights on the printer are flashing, Advisor to the cause of the problem and then provide one solution to try to try to resolve the problem. I hope this helps.
I have problems with having the installed printer drivers on windows 10 PCs, I get the error: 0 x 80070490. The State of the printer is connected to a group of networked computers. The printer name is HP OfficeJet Pro X451dw.
I tried to use the "sfc/scannow" command and it detects that there is no error with the PC.
However, is there a way to fix this driver update failure?
A lot of help will be appreciated and I will try my best to solve these problems, just to make everyone happy.
Thank you very much
The ADF has stopped working, because the machine thinks there is a paper jam. However, there is no paper jam. I checked all the places that I am able to access to, and everything is clear, making me think that there is something wrong in an indoor area that I can't access.
Thank you for your answer, I'll try that.
Took the new Office Jet out of the box, put in place. Works wirelessly. I am getting a paper jam in the ADF error message. Never fed any paper in the ADF. I have reset the printer, firmware reloaded... can't erase the message. Printing and scanning using computer or iPhone, just can cannot copy.
I found this on the discussion Forum and it worked!
Thank you John Ablordeppey of Ghana, West Africa, and Markus_M
Suggestion of John fixed the error on my JO 8620, too.
I was able to do it without removing the left cover.
Just open the cartridge door, have a flashlight and check all visible cables, pressing them firmly into the connectors.
Thanks to you two! ChrisDz
I have a HP 6500 has more (and users of Windows XP) I tried to stop it and disconnect and reconnect. I also entered the printer icon and made sure that the paper size stated, "Plain" and it still not print a document. Any suggestions?
This printer has a firmware update that address the question you seem to have.
1 update the firmware go to www.hp.com/support - drivers Select & Software - enter 6500 has more for the product number
2. on the next page, select your operating system (windows xp)
3. step 2 - Select a download - click the firmware download and run the firmware update
To do the update of the firmware, you need to be connected by usb. If it's a wireless installation, simply connect the usb cable and run the firmware, you do not have to install the usb printer.
My oficejet 4215xi gives error message "paper jam". I cleared and cleaned as well as I am able. Print cartridges won't move from the left side. Is this fixable or dead?
I assume that everything is resolved. I got a new printer. Support HP says the Impossible error condition be corrected or repaired.
I canceled a print on my printer today and its giving me a paper jam that I can't get rid of feed! Ive checked all the forums without success? Please pelase y at - there some brilliant genius out there who can tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for all irritable brilliance, you can offer!
If you experience a paper jam error message it could be caused by a number of things such as dirty or damaged rollers. I've included a helpful link to a document that could help you.
Let me know if it helps.
My HP Photosmart 5524 seems to be in perfect working order but I can't move it beyond the 'Transport Jam' warning on screen.
Have followed all the steps on the screen of the printer and the HP Web site.
