  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 not low ink printing

I have printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g all-in-one wireless.  I use laptop computers with Windows XP 32-bit, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I received an error message "Unable to print" - replace the following ink cartridge to resume printing (HP 940 M).  I replaced the single cartridge and all the cartridges and still have the error message.  I thought that maybe the Magenta Ink Cartridge, I bought was the problem and I tried another new cartridge of ink Magenta.  The error message was always the same.

I followed the "solving a problem" to "replace following the empty ink cartridge after I installed a new cartridge.

I even replaced the printhead to see if it would fix it, but no resolution.  Before replacing the print head, I could see the ink levels and he would show levels of ink full and empty intermittently.  Now it is blocked by the error on the screen and neither will meet press OK and continue.

This could be the cause of this error message?  You have a solution?  Is that all I can try to correct this error message?

    Dennis

It sounds like the problem of reading ink cartridges could be caused by a bug in the firmware of the printer. There are a few things you can try to clear the glitch. First of all, make sure that you have the latest firmware installed in the printer. I'll link the instructions below. If the problem is still there after that, try to do a hard and partial reset. Do the hard reset first and if that does not work, proceed to the partial reset. If none of that works, the printer is locked on the error and must be replaced.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Installed new ink cartridges on 6830, but they were not full

I've been using this printer for about two years now, been through "Print head problem" for both, they exchanged once and replace only the part once.

My ink colour C, M and there were emptied at the same time, so I ordered all three in an online store. I installed a few minutes ago and check the ink level via the touch screen of the printer. It turns out that they are not quite complete. They are almost full, C and are close to full, but M is less complete.

I wonder why this happens? I never checked the ink level in the past, but it surprises me. The printer makes some kind of calibration and printhead cleaning to get ready installed ink? (So consumed little ink)

I scanned the QR code on the side of boxes of ink and checked the hologram stickers and pretty sure that they are genuine. The printer also said that they are authentic.

Here is the picture of my ink level. Shot after installation of the cartridge and nothing printed.

Another strange thing is the date of installation. Now it is April 4 in my country but the web printer configuration page shows cartridge installation date is April 1! I checked the date and the printer and everything is OK.

If the cartridges have been used before, the printer screen would show a message that cartridges have been used on another front printer. I saw only me because I kept the old ink before trading in the past as I said up there.

    Please see a screenshot below

Everyone knows what happened? Or it's normal? (The packaging and seal in plastic cartridges seemed fine, nothing suspected weird)

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the HP Forums

    @BlackMiracle,

I came across your post about the concerns that you have with the help of your new ink cartridges and I wanted to share my own suggestions. The date being out for a few days is a bit strange, but the rest seems normal. Yes, when you install the cartridges, they are calibrated and alignment and clean, that uses a bit of ink. The levels that you see are also "estimated" levels If there are print quality problems or error messages, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

    I hope this helps!

  • Officejet 4315 slow printing problems after replacing the print cartridge

my printer was working fine until I replaced my print cartridges. I replaced the black with color with 22 and 21.

my test page prints fine and sometimes my impression is very good. but often, my impression is extremely slow. can't understand why it is slow sometimes and other times it is nice. do not have this problem until I replaced my print cartridges.

I found a post on slow printing and I tried the different steps. don't know what the issue is. Thank you

    Real new ink installed HP?

You could remove the cartridges, reset the printer and turn on without the cartridges, and then reinstall the cartridges. Eliminate any power surge strips or extensions, plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.

When you mention slow, how to slow down? How long to print from the computer exactly? How long for a print job initiated from the printer exactly?

  • Re: HP officejet 4620 does no black ink print

I'm having this same problem, but with an off-warranty B210a all-in-one printer. Can you help me with this also?

    @rrblint

One thing worth is to soak the printhead as described below...

    (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
    (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
    (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

  • Office Jet 6830: Check color ink levels? Replace only what is necessary?

Hello collected wisdom! Is is possible to control the levels of ink on this printer and if so replace the individual color cartridges? I seem to use a lot of blue and you want to replace the yellow and red if they are still full. It seems unnecessary. I know that I have to buy the three colors together, but still...

    Hi @Kathyd1290,

Of course, you can check the ink levels for each cartridge of the screen of the printer and its software.

Follow these steps to locate the ink from the screen of the printer or the software levels, each ink cartridge is indicated separately:

  • Replacing the print head - carriage doesn't move to the left

I have an Officejet Pro 8500. I am trying to replace the print heads, but the carriage does not move left as it should to access the print heads. I tried now hold the * key and I tried to turn on/off the printer twice, but it still does not move when I open the lid. How do I move? Help, please!

I managed to solve this problem by pressing the 'OK' button instead of ' * ' button. The new print head works very well. Yay!

  • cannot replace the print cartridges CP1025nw

I am trying to replace the print on my HP LaserJet CP1025nw cartridges.  I did several times.  But this time, I can not cartridges suitable for turning in place.  I press any button to specify which cartridge I want to replace, only yellow appears!  I tried switching the printer on and out on, and that did not help.  I really need to replace black, but cannot figure out how.  Any ideas?

    Hi @annie89 ,

I see that you have problems with the carousel doesn't turn only not to be able to change the black toner. I would like to help you today.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

You can manually move the carousel, by releasing the locking mechanism. Use something to push it.  Manually, back off the carousel, do not touch the toner however. I have also provided a picture where there are in fact two areas to leave, they are circled in red. The left side is easier to move.

    Cannot remove the ink cartridges.

If the problem persists, I would like to do a hard reset.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

If you need help, let me know.

    Have a great day!
    Thank you.

  • printer Photosmart 3310 says black ink is out. replaced the same message twice.

My printer says ink is out, but I have replaced the cartridge twice, cleaned the contacts, clean the print head and says the same thing. I was the impression of the things that I have in choosing the black mark of another color option, but last night he left the impression at all.  Indicates the ink level is dangerously low and could cause injury.  I always use hp ink cartridges. Please help don't want to replace the printer if I have to.

    Hello

The ink is blocked somewhere and not out of the print head. or the ink flowing from somewhere inside the printer.

Open the lid to see the inside of the print mechanism. to the left of the printer, you should be able to see the tubes. see if any of them escape (without touching it).

If the black ink is always full, but the printer says empty, then ink is blocked somewhere.

Whatever it is. I'm sorry, but the printer looks like it will replace.
