OfficeJet Pro 8500 a910 a does not print

Hey all,.

had some problems recently with my a910 Officejet Pro 8500 has.

From 1 day to the other, it stopped printing, each document is put in the waiting room, but no paper out.

The vacuum-ing line made no difference, al checked settings in the box.

Had removed all software, installed again, all via HP.

All fine until testpage, no go.

All 3 Doctoringtools of HP given their chance, all very well once again, until the testpage, so no reaction.

I'm all of the options, maybe one of you, the specialists have everything?

THX in advance and regards, Sander

Hey Gordon,.

Windows 7, USB.

After a week of trying I had solved tonight.

Last night I pulled the plug out of the electricitysocket and let rest a day.

When I tried tonight it print like it used to, as well!

I don't know why, after you close a couple of times b4 electricity, to reset, no result then.

Maybe now, with the new software (6th time install) and HP tools, he decided to once again where I bought it for...

Thus, solved!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 has: HP8500A does not print the programs in Microsoft office in color

I don't really know when this problem started, as I often do not print Microsoft Office files on this printer, but today I tried to print things in 2013 of Microsoft Office.  Even if the grayscale setting has been disabled - they always printed on this printer in grayscale.  I tried to print on two of my other printers and they printed color very well with similar settings for these printers.  I tried to print my email address on the 8500 - it printed color very well.  I tried to print photos with photo gallery and my 8500 them printed in color as well, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with one of the cartridges in the printer color such that it will print color with other applications.

I restarted my HP8500A, and I got the same results.  I restarted my computer, the same results.  I went ahead, downloaded and installed Microsoft Update Office 2016 think there must be a problem somewhere.  It made no difference.  When I print to the 8500 with shades of gray turned off in Word and print selected in Publisher - RGB I'm still printing in grayscale.  I take the same documents and I print on my other printers (HP Photomart C5580 All in One) and HP Deskjet 1000 and the same Microsoft Office 2016 documents will be printed in colour on both printers.  I'm running out of ideas to try to correct the problem. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply.  After trying a few other things, I saw that page print test HP and the Scan doctor kept coming out in grayscale, but still the print quality diagnostics Page was in color and everything was reported as good.  I just decided when all else fails, uninstall the printer driver and then reinstalled as it was the last thing to reset.  I have restarted everything, kept my fingers crossed and all print in perfect color!  For now at least!  So, I would say that my problem is solved and if it happens again, I'll uninstall and reinstall to try to resolve that obviously some sort of glitch mounted in the driver software.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Premium will not send fax from computer with Windows 8

My printer was working fine on Win XP and I could fax directly from the printer or the computer.  I installed 8 32-bit Windows (I am under an older system that works very well for everything that I use it for - thank you very much) and downloaded the latest driver for HP large & software for Win 8 32-bit.  Everything works perfectly, except for the computer fax.

If I run the test of the printer fax, the fax test PASSES.  If I run the test fax from the computer, the fax test PASSES.

If I put documents into the feeder of the printer and use the features of fax printer, it Fax beautifully.

It's only when I fax from the computer, the screen appears with the status of the queue, then state turns to cancelled each time.

He has always worked on Win XP.

The FAX and FAX printer driver for the printer-FAX appeared in Control Panel automatically when I installed the HP drivers/software update.  All the properties of the FAX printer seem good.

I tried a usb connection and a connection of network ethernet, with the same results.

Printing and scanning all work fine.  I really like this printer and I love it even more if I could figure out how to get by fax a document from the computer.

When I say fax from the computer, I mean opening a document saying print, select Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910, filling the page of information by fax, selecting my cover page options and press send fax.  Everything like I used to do it before I upgraded to Win 8.  When I hit send fax, it is when I get the popup that fax is in queue, then it goes to cancelled.  No error codes are displayed, no clue as to why, no nothing.  If I print the document and put it in the printer tray I can using display printer fax without problem.

    Very weird.

Well, I spoke with some of the engineers, and they suggested next steps. First of all, here's a thread on a forum of MS on the removal of an alternate driver.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875.aspx

Another thing to note is that in Win8, you can easily access the command prompt by pressing the windows key and typing "command prompt".

In addition, I will PM you walk a few others on the removal of the remains of the software from the back-end of your PC. To be sure, you will need TO follow these instructions to the letter.

Do these two things and let me know what happens after the installation of the printer again since the direct download link I already provided above.

Let me know and have a great day!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 first: Feeder does not

    Hello:

I use a HP Officejet Pro 8500 first all-in-one printer, and recently I started having problems with the document feeder. It always saves when a document is sitting there, but when I choose "Scan" it makes a really loud grinding noise, short and says that I need to reload the document, and then try again. I also noticed that the roller is demeaning not himself, he is already lowered when I place documents in now. I think that maybe that's the problem.

I also have the error 'Pump motor Stall' when I restart the device.

No idea how can I fix? I scan a large number of documents in the office and the document feeder is quite crucial for time management.

    Thank you!

Hello @ddehner523and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have questions about your feed paper.  I would like to help!

I recommend to remove printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also turn on the power of the printer into a different wall outlet.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

How can I make my HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (Network) to print pages in order, i.e. page 1, first, etc. ?

    Hi kentpatty!

If you go to the menu 'Préférences' when you go to print, there are an option for 'Page order' you can change "Back to front" to "Front to Back". Who should take care of it for you, but I would like to know if it doesn't and I'll try to find something.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium does not work!

I have a HP 8500 a Premium e-all-in-one A910n. The problem I have is that printer power light is on but the printer does not. I have just used the printer because I have 2 connected to my network so basically, it's almost new. Yesterday I went to print a label for shipping to this printer and discovered that it did not work. Before a few power out for severe thunderstorms, here in Florida the printer worked when I used the latter. My 2 year warranty expired January 2013 never had problems with the printer before. After completing printer did not work I looked more and the power light was carried out. Printer has been connected to a bunch of surge protection. So did a search on the internet and found a solution of HP forum. First of all, I followed the steps to "restore an external power module.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01321436#N551

I connected the cable to the printer as suggested directly to a wall outlet. But the outlet wall available closest was across the room. So I plugged it into the wall outlet, then in power while the power is on. Plugged the power cord at the back of the printer and the printer started its initialization process for nearly 15 minutes. Then everything seemed OK on the touch screen. Although I don't have a check printing. I did a power button close so that I could use a closer outlet. I did that and plugged printer on another once tested the printer wouldn't turn back on. I repeated the same steps on the reset of the external power supply without result. The power led remains on the printer as well as on the external power supply. I can't touch screen of the printer and the printer is initializing. Can someone PLEASE! Is it the printer or power supply external power that his witness remains on too! It's a printer expensive used sentence... I can not find anything on printer get repaired on the HP Web site if necessary.

Well, I changed the logic board with an 8500 a more Board of eBay. The Premium printer & more than 8,500 use the same logic board. The difference between the two printers, it's that the premium has a second paper tray. After you have installed the most logical and crossing my fingers when I plugged power cord in.... was worth the $27.50 I paid for the Board on eBay. The printer is indeed, works again. Don't understand why HP or someone else keeps parts for an old printer in 3 years. HP wants to just sell an upgraded model, so they can do more of $ people. I did not see elsewhere the printer dumping excellent condition.

    I appreciate your comments! Rich1

  • OfficeJet Pro K850 - ink cartridge does not print

My K850 printer is not printing cyan. According to the Toolbox of the K850, cartridge series cyan was 75%, and the health of the print head has been fair. The cyan cartridge was beyond its expiration date I replaced it. The new cartridge does not better than the old cartridge print. Before I spend another $40.00 + did someone has something to suggest?

Although the cleaning of the print head has helped a little, it did not help, so I bought a new cyan print head. When I installed the new print head, the printer automatically aligned to the printhead and now cyan works very well. Unfortunately, the alignment process pointed out flaws in magenta and Yellow Printhead. Now everytime that I print anything the printer goes through a continuous systematic alignment printhead to try to correct the magenta and Yellow Printhead, waste of paper and ink, until I cancel all print jobs. New cleaning of the printheads and the contacts did not help. In the end, no matter what is the status of print head in the tool box, replacing the print heads is the only solution that worked.

Now, it has nothing hanging in Quebec and fact to the printer, but I can't scan. I contacted Sitecom and done everything I can do with them. The IP address is not appear in the properties of the printer, it shows a WSD Port and not TCP/IP. WIFI summary information indicates an IP address which has been registered before the last week power issue. Since this issue, the analysis did not correctly. A month ago there is power problem and when it was all done with, as well as of Sitecom and WLR 5002-AC750 everything worked on this IP address 192.168.2.99; but now the router is not displayed it and when I try to make a connection static it will not accept this IP and indicates the reason because he's not with the router IP listing series. I even restored HP printer, etc. Sitecom said I need to contact you because of the language of the printer or something like that. How can I get this IP?

    Hi @newdawn,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 printer will not communicate wirelessly on your network. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that you attempted to assign a static IP address, but the INVESTIGATION period is to give you questions. Please the following steps to help solve the problem.

What is the IP address of the computer?
    It starts with 192.168.2.XXX?

    • If the computer has a different IP address, such as 192.168.1.XXX. This means that the computer and the printer are on different networks.

If so, please proceed as follows:

    • Restore the default settings of network on the printer.
    • Run the configuration wizard wireless for reconnected to the network.
    • Click here to update the firmware of the printer.

    TIPS:

    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.

Switch your printer WSD for a by Standard TCP/IP port port To do this, you will need your current IP address printers.

You will then want to follow these steps for the switch port:
  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 was not found.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 bought more just. After you have installed on a HP Pavilion m8100n desktop, everything works but the scanner. I get this message "The HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 is not found". Spent 3.5 hrs on the phone with HP support, they think that this is a problem in microsoft software. If I uninstall and reinstall the HP software it will work until I restart the computer. I feel confident that all troubleshooting has been done with HP at this stage and not need to go further with them. I use Norton on the computer as well. Someone has ideas how to get this fixed a problem?

    Hi BradKeith,

You can try to completely uninstall the printer and before you reaffirm the system try to download the drivers from the HP site and trying to install and check.

You can also check if uninstalling and reinstalling the video card drivers solves the problem.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers from programs and features

    a. click on start

    b. type appwiz.cpl in search, and then press ENTER.

    c. find the printer driver packages, right click and uninstall it.

Step 2: Uninstall the drivers from Device Manager.

    a. click on start

    b. type devmgmt.msc in search, and then press enter

    c. in find Manager device for the device, right-click on it and select the option uninstall.

Before restarting the system, try to install the latest drivers from the HP site and check.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=4083969&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&lang=en&cc=us

    Method 2:

You can temporarily disable the Norton Security software and the firewall installed on the system and check.

Note: Be sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 will not scan to folder - Windows 8 Pro

I upgraded my HP M9500Y PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro.

My printer is HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910.  In Windows 7, all the functions of print/scan/fax worked perfectly.

Windows 8, printing without problem, however, analysis of the file function fails.

When a document is scanned, the printer seems to be analysis correctly, but the destination folder contains a file of length zero with the new file name.  I tried the formats PDF and JPEG scans.  All attempts to produce files of length zero in the destination folder.

I tried to change the path of the destination folder by replacing the address IP for the name of the PC, but that made no difference.  The destination folder is shared correctly on the Windows network and the configuration utility based on the web of HP for the digitization of records indicates that all tests have passed.

What is the sequence of installation for Windows 8 will accept scan-to-folder operations.

  • Cannot install Officejet Pro 8500 A910 on the network in my laptop Windows XP

    Resolved, not resolved.

I talked to HP technical support. The Officejet Pro 8500 A910 will not install on Windows XP (at least the home edition) when networked through a router. It will install via USB. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled with only USB connected to clear all printer/scanner of network information. Product support claimed it would install through an ether net cable connected between the printer and the computer, but it does little good if you need internet access.
