OfficeJet Pro 8500 has: the printer does not

Got a message on the control panel may not print, replace the depleted ink cartridge (magenta) to resume printing.  Nothing changed when I replaced the magenta cartridge.  I replaced it once again without change.  I keep getting the same message and therefore impossible to print.

Hello @dejen and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

If I understand your message that you are having problems with your cartridge.  I would like to help!

I recommend to start by removing the printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

Then, I recommend following the steps in this document:

A "ink cartridge appears to be missing or corrupt" control panel displays error on the printer

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

like others, I have this problem.  In fact I do not use the ADF very often and this kind of ignored her, but today, that I needed so decided to try to fix it.  I tried most of the fixes here and the first did nothing, but trying to look at this, I decided to put the paper in the ADF, then open the cover and look to see what happened.  My God, he started work.  I let go a bit and then started to lower the lid.  Heck, he stopped.  Essaye tried again, stopped again that I dropped the lid.  Did that a few times and then being qualified professionally I have the fix engineering, a slight slap on the far side of the adf, as on the back of the printer.  Now, my God, it was only half an hour, but the thing works.  Put three leaves there very well.

    Hello @billfern,

I understand that you were familiar problems of automatic document feeder on your HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more e-All-in-One Printer and after trying to solve the problem, you have found that when you lower the scanner the paper process would stop. I'm happy to hear that you were able to solve this specific problem by giving a bit of a slap to the printer. This certainly isn't a standard troubleshooting step, but one that I saw set a number of different problems!

In your case, I agree that there is a sensor or roller conflict occurring which is at the origin of the book of power question. This may be due to a defect of the real hardware or a programming problem. In all areas of document feeder, it is not so simple. There are many variables that can affect the document feeder Assembly. Some problems occur after crossing the media statement incorrect Assembly or an overload of the Assembly. Other problems occur if a part in the tray is physically broken. And some points can be caused by a programming problem. However, in all cases, if the charger is faulty a replacement of the entire unit would be necessary that the tray is not a replaceable part.

It is never a bad idea to update the programming on your machine. Even if your specific Officejet works at the present time, I would recommend sending the last update of the Firmware to it. You can download and run the update of the Firmware by clicking on here.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g: My printer is not wireless...

Hello! I tried for three days to get my printer to print something. For some reason, my HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One a909g is not printing.

I tried to update the drivers to see if that was the problem, but for some reason that my printer is not connected to my HP laptop wireless. The connection for some reason any broke. Whenever I go to enter the WPA code (which is correct and yes I put it in place for WPA and WPA2 not) it keeps refusing to connect to my laptop.

If someone could help me please, it is something that I really need for my studies and we just replace the ink and Printhead and cannot afford to replace really. Thank you!

    Hello
Thank you to try the Wireless Setup Wizard.
Seems strange that the printer is not able to connect to the home network.

If your printer is close to the router, you can connect using an Ethernet (Lan) cable.

You will still need to install the printer software when you do this so that the drivers are properly configured i.e. non-plug-and-play.

    Hope that helps!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500: new ink cartridges does not

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500.  It's probably 2 or 3 years.  He says not what 8500, but I think it was
a diagnosis 'as model A909a.  My level of printing showed that the black ink cartridge must be replaced.  I knew too because what should have been print black was printing a red light faded.  I replaced the black cartridge with a HP product, but it is always print red and get more faded.  Any ideas what could be the problem?  Thank you!

UPDATE!  Good news!  Somehow I discovered that I needed to update the software. I think it could have been through the option "Scan Doctor".  When I tried to install the software on your computer it wouldn't.  But I went directly to the HP software download site, informed my hardware information and that worked!  I downloaded and installed the updated software and that fixed my problem of black ink cartridge.  I'm so happy and proud of myself!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus duplex printing does not

I am on Mac OSX leopard (10.5.8) and just purchased the officejet pro 8600.  Everything seems to work fine except that I can't understand how to print on both sides.  The option is not allowed in the layout

I checked the settings of the printer and you don't see anything to indicate how to enable the duplex printing option.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hello

Please follow the steps below to configure the automatic duplex print driver:

    1. check that duplex printing accessory has been installed correctly. To check this open system preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print to your printer queue. Click Printer Setup and in the tab menu choose driver. Make sure that the box next to HP printing accessory (duplexer) sides.

    2. on the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the printer name to see all available parameters.

    3. in the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

    4. to select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as binding edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more ADF will not work

We had this machine since January 2011.  The warranty expired in January 2012.  The ADF has stopped working about a month.  I see the problem - the roller thing will not drop to feed the sheets of paper.  Does anyone else have this problem?  How to solve it?  And most of all... is this normal for a machine HP to have bad like this in less than two years?

@highflyer3035, I see you are having a problem with the ADF on the printer. I would say later document, which will give you several step to solve the problem.

  • LaserJet Pro M200 color: the printer does not print

Yesterday, the printer was working fine, but today I can not print from any of the computers on the network. Operating systems is Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I can print a status of the printer itself, but nothing a computer.

I can ping the printer to all computers successfully.

The printer is connected to the network via a WiFi connection and checking the connection of the printer displays every thing to be in order. But when trying to scan a document and save it to a network drive the printer cannot establish a connection.

Does anyone know an answer to this problem?

    Best regards.

    Hi diameter,.

Thanks for responding to my problem.

After trying everything I could think of, out of desperation I did a reset on my modem, which is also the hub WiFi. The printer then works as usual. What is strange, is that I could always use the modem to go on the internet, it was just the WiFi which needed a kick in the ass.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 has more: Officejet pro 8500 has will not be printed sheets

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer. I try to print the recipes on cards, but everytime I try to do my printer says "incorrect paper size" and then cancels the job. How can I fix it? I have a macbook... I don't know if it's part of the problem?

Most programs running under OS X obey the size of default page defined by the Print Center/Printer Setup Utility preferences.

A notable exception to this rule, however, is that Microsoft Word, which has its own system to decide what paper size to use.

Change the default value of letter to A4

Idea of what should be the default paper size is set in the Normal template.

Go to Format > Document, and then press the button layout... .

Set the size of A4 paper, and then press OK.

Press the button by default... , answer Yes to the dialog box, and then press OK.

    - Source

I imagine that this also applies to listings so instead of A4, you'd look for 4 x 6! Please let me know if that does the trick!

  • Cyan is not printing on HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more - Air bubbles in the ink tubes

    Hi all

I know why cyan is not printing.  It is because of the following:

Ago, I ran out of ink cyan printing ("please replace cyan before continuing").  I live in a remote area and was not able to buy a replacement cyan cartridge, so I read on a hack on the Internet, that was to fool the printer into thinking that the cyan cartridge remained inside ink (just basically restricting the measure gauge so that it read the Full cartridge).  I did it because I had a print document that requires only the black ink, so I knew that this wouldn't be a problem.  Then life happened and I completely forgot my little shortcut, and my wife printed a number of color photos.  I finally had time to cartridges, and I now understood that cyan is not print at all.  I have now opened up the printer and realize that the cyan ink tube is full of bubbles...

I tried to fix this by printing A4 pages that are for the most part, cyan, but without success.  I even tried to put pressure on the ink cartridge cyan in order to flood the cyan ink tubes - also, it does not work.  I read somewhere that there is a way to actually get some printers to pump tubes with ink, is - it possible on the Officejet Pro 8500 has more?

Of course, I did all the tools that are pre-set to the arsenal of 8500, but still no luck.

I know I'm in the situation I am purely because I don't use the device as intended, and people that no one is to blame but me, but I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

    Thank you

    John

John, looks like you have a problem with the ink system. Unfortunately, what it looks like happened here, is that your ink nozzle, tubing and probably-print head have put dry for cyan. Work around is pretty neat, but it really is only recommended for a very temporary solution. If the ink has dried in the piping, but elsewhere in the printer then can be a decent chance that this printer will be not likely reprint the cyan. You can try to run the automatic cleaning process (up to three times I would say) via the Tools menu in the Setup (the wrench).

In addition, I'm not sure that this will be a question that has a simple resolution. Apologies, John.

    3. now along the top, you will see an option to change the size of the page, please make sure that it is set to adjust or 100%.
