OfficeJet Pro 8600-COPY Question
How to copy a page 2 faces on a page? In other words, 2 face 2 face...
Please specify the exact printer model:
The HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911a) do not provide duplex ADF to scan a two-sided original, but only print double-sided.
The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus (N911g) / Premium (N911n) however do not provide this feature.
If your product is the Plus or Premium models, follow the steps below:
In the main menu printer, click the copy.
Double as original copy / 2 sides 2 sides and perform the copy job.

just got the officejet pro 8600 its great except when I copy there is a line down the Middle, but not when I print faxes reception could be tape somewhere?
This happens when you use the automatic document feeder to copy or scan? This is probably a place on the strip of thin glass used for scanning with the ADF. See the Solution 2, step 5 in this document.
I bought the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus about a year, and recently the impression was very bad. I have a lot of horizontal gaps in the photos (color and b & w) as well as in the text. It is not as crisp as it was when I bought it first. I use it to write contracts and lately, had to go to the local Kinkos to print that it is not acceptable to give to a potential customer. I installed the ink HP geniune. I have tried cleaning the print heads through the tool on the printer, but also download and trying to solve the matter through 'hardware diagnostic tool.' I always feel the lines of streaks / missing. According to the report stage of my printer, I only printed 1 266 pages. I have a hard time to believe that after just as many pages the print head has been overworked or put in his time. I looked up the cost of a new print head, and at almost half the price of a new printer, I have a hard time to justify the expense. I really like the printer and won't replace it. I hope it's just a defective print head that may be covered in some way, or could be replaced at a more reasonable price.
Opportunities, ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I should probably post that I had contacted HP, even if the printer is out of warranty. I think what saved me was that I was able to pull up my impression of total, I think it was a little more than 1 000. Obviously a very small amout of draw has been done during the time period. They were able to send me a new print head, with instructions on how to replace or envelope pre-paid to send the back of an old man. Touch wood, no problem since then, and I know I have printed a lot more during this period without any problem.

Brought this puppy home, it is out of the box. followed the instructions (removed all the pieces of Ribbon or protection). Cord plugged. Press the power button. HP logo comes up, is there for about 3-4 min. one blue screen (blue screen of the window thinking of death which lasts 2 seconds), gives me this code B86ECEF4. Goes to a white screen with 7 icons are flashing (1 blue, 1 red, 5 whites) on the LCD screen. Wireless blue blink, the 'X' red, white is at home? , < and=""> and the back button. Start button / stop also flashes green. No internal sounds. If I move the door down (where I would put the ink of the cart, nothing moves out there.
Any ideas. Defective? You missed a step?
It seems that you will have to Contact HP for warranty repair. If you live in the United States, call 1-800-HPINVENt
My company delivered my new of Officejet Pro 8600 with locked out wireless capability... I guess that they do not want printing wireless at the office, but I use this printer home and print to it my personal devices wireless... any advice on how to re-engage the wireless features?
Your company would mind if the printer has been completely reset? I'm guessing that they disables wireless and also put a password on the printer, so you cannot turn it back on. I would call your business or if you know that you can't find in trouble do complete a reset on the printer.
How to reset the printer is provided here.
I am aware of both a pages facing two options on back page. Now, I'm trying to figure out if I can copy two pages in front of two pages by using the Officejet pro 8610.
The HP Officejet 8610 does not support automatic double-sided copy of a centre but only duplex printing.
The duplex is only available model 8620 or 8630.
You can use the HP scanner software to scan document manual duplex print it to work around the problem.
You can find the specifications of the product below:
Turning my printer this morning the display shows an error message "ink system failure". I followed the instructions to reset 3 times with no luck. I still get the same message. I spent 2 hours on the HP parts store, trying to find a replacement printhead with no luck. Where can I find the correct print head, ref replace, etc. so I can get this printer working again?
Welcome to the HP Forums @tntipsy,
I came across your post on the message 'Ink system failure' you see on your premium 8600 Officejet and troubleshooting, you have tried and are currently looking for a new printhead. My personal suggestion would be for you to contact HP directly to discuss a printhead or even a replacement unit. I would honestly suggested a replacement unit on a replacement of the print head, just in case where the same problem occurs with another print head. Details of HP are below for you!
If you have trouble, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

I accidentally activated the Firewall setting on the interface based on the web of my printer and print now and can not connect to the printer to its IP 192.168.1.254 (I assign a fixed IP to make it work with my VDSL Huewei router which is a dog - separate issue.
How can I disable the firewall on the printer?
I think that the best approach is to restore network defaults, and then reconnect the printer again.

I want to have 2 shippers when I scan to email.
My GMAIl SMTP works perectly.
Those of my wife at all (test KO).
Of course, I tried/retried the login/password, the firmware update (printer is up-to-date)
I also tried tab setting (via web print server) the option "mail server". I filled SMTP ID my wife and it worked. (Test OK)
Where is the problem?
Thanks in advance for your comments
Gmail offers several options of security which are not supported by the printer and it will block to connect to their servers.
First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you are facing problems of implementation.
In the section connection & security click on signature in Google and make sure 'The 2-Step check' is defined as 'Off '.
In the left pane click on connected applications & sites and make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'ON', otherwise the check fails.
In the left pane click peripheral activity & notifications, within the "security events" section click on the link to control events and make sure there is no connection blocked attempt (it will be highlighted in red), if there is no warning, proceed to the screen to ensure there is no block for this device.
Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.
My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not copy. When I hit print I get an error "scanner failure".
I called the HP support by phone as suggested, and they had me unplug the printer, then hold the power button in during 15 seconds, everything disconnected in order to "drain the power." Once I have it plugged it back in and he began to copy correctly turned on! Hope this helps someone else with the same question.
In other forums, they tell you how to resize a copy, but I can't find what they need on my printer. I think my printer is different and does not have the fetures that talk about these other bodies. I want to know if it is even possible to resize copies on my particular model: printer e-all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8600 - N911a

I installed the drivers on the disk supplied in the box. (Not sure if there is a new driver or an update yet for this product.)
I bought this printer so that I could load my UPS package labels into a bar of tasks and plain paper in the other.
I loaded the labels into Tray 1 (according to instructions) and paper in tray 2.
I have everything works fine except that I can't understand how to specify tray 2 as the tray to make copies of. In respect of the COPY > SETTINGS > SET SELECT only Tray 1 is displayed.
Issues related to the:
(1) why not tray 2 option to copy? How can I fix it? A firmware update maybe?
(2) printing these UPS labels from tray 2 seems to work very well. Is there a reason why this would be bad?
Connected by ethernet cable, he downloaded the new version of the firmware (... 1136BR).
That fixed it! Tray 2 is now an option under settings to copy.
The only disappointing is that I asked about a new version of the firmware in my first question... but it took a whole week to get this resolved... and I had little to get to the answer myself!
In any case, now it is fixed and seems to work very well.
I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus model N911g that I got a year out of warranty. Worked perfectly until this week when I scanned approximately 50 pages through the ADM. During the process of digitisation of the black vertical lines began to appear on documents that are scanned or print (color or BW) through the ADM. Scanning or printing directly from the scanner glass is not the problem.
I checked, cleaned and cleaned all (rolls, strip scanning, scanning glass) it is possible via the information provide in these forums from other veins knows on their production lines. No change...
I unplugged the printer all the network and fax cables and tried scanning or copying with the power of the device, NO CHANGE. Don't know what the next step might be other than the factory reset (don't have documentation on this process). Additional suggestions would be appreciated.
Please go through this document from HP, this problem is because of the dust or some contamination on glass scalled
Here is a video, the printer is not JO 8600 but the mechanism is the same, then even this video will be a great help
HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan everything in the middle of the page
I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.
I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line. The most common cause is a small spot of something on the glass of the scanner, so just make sure that when you're cleaning use you as much elbow grease you can collect
Just to clarify a little further, if the problem only seems to occur when you use the automatic document feeder, you'll want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass that he uses on the left side. If it only occurs when you use the flat glass, you want to concentrate on the large piece of glass he uses.
Hope this helps, have a nice day!
Printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium (CN577A)
OS: MS 7 64-bit
When you use the ADF for my printer HP CN577A Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, I get a single vertical line on the document which is produced. This occurs when copying or scanning, both black and white and in color. If I scan or copy using the glass, I do not get the vertical line.
I already tried troubleshooting. I unplugged the printer, left without electricity for several minutes; that didn't fix the problem. Then, I cleaned the rollers and glass; I always get the vertical line, but only when using the ADF.
My firmware version is up to date (CLP1CN1150CR).
What should I check next?
The only difference between the ADF and scanning flat, from a point of view of the scanner is there on the glass, it happens. I suggest you get a bright flashlight and examine the corresponsing area hence is the line, it's almost certainly a spot on the strip of thin glass which is being just in the right place.
I've seen some people suggest that put a flashlight almost parallel to the Strip, it shines from the bottom can highlight the area problem.
