OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: officejet pro 8600 fax network

Hello

Thank you I have HP officejet PRo 8600 more that has fax functionality and it is connected on the LAN (192.168.100.3).

I need another application fax FAX talk (my laptop) to send any documents to HP officejet PRo 8600 by lAN for the fax on the actual fax modem so is HP officejet PRO.

is this possible?

What is the right configuration to be written in application FAX TALK? This is the IP fax, FAX port, login (username / password)?

Hi @amalla,

Under Windows, the HP drivers are not considered a TAPI modem.

Thank you.

If you go to the menu 'Préférences' when you go to print, there are an option for 'Page order' you can change "Back to front" to "Front to Back". Who should take care of it for you, but I would like to know if it doesn't and I'll try to find something.

  • M1217: Can I pass a HP 8600 fax contacts to a HP M1217?

Is there a way to pass my contact HP 8600 fax list to the phonebook on a M1217.  Manual user supported software lists program directories, but products HP are not listed.  I think there will be a way to move the contacts between the HP products.  Thank you.

If they are stored in a directory on the PC, then you should be able to leave them in the folder and they must convert from one printer to another. I would backup all files associated first of all, just to be sure.

    Hi Alan

    1.
Can you use IE and other applications if the WIFI network is not secure with WPA2?
    You can test using WEP?
Just to be safe because of securing WLAN.

    2.
You are right. Your model has Intel WLAN card and if you need a new driver just visit Portal Toshiba WLAn under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

I really don't know what service or upgrade of system you are using, but if everything works well you don't need any update to date.

  • Problems connecting to a Satellite Pro 4600 for network wireless home

    Hello
My computer has a processor Athlon 64 x 2 4200 + and 2 GB of RAM, with XP2 Pro. I have a Linksys WRT54GS broadband router and connected with Virgin Media.

My daughter gave me an old laptop a Satellite Pro 4600 with a 747 MHz Celeron processor, 384 MB of RAM and XP2 Pro has an Intel Pro/100 VE Network adapter. I set up a Linksys Wireless - G Notebook Adapter with SRX (model No. WPC45GX), so that I could use around the House. However when I try to connect to the home network, although he "finds" a list of networks, I am unable to connect and get an error message - "Windows cannot connect to the selected network (my home network). The network can be is no longer in range. Please refresh the list of available
    networks and try again. »

I tried to connect with laptop computer in the same room as the router, but get the same message. In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, the two are shown and both work properly, but in the taskbar there is a red cross shown on the two icons, they say that a network cable is unplugged, but I don't have a cable network.
The other tells me that the wireless is not connected.

I presume that the adapter works as it can 'see' wireless networks, I used Lynksys support to verify that all router and adapter settings are correct.
My wife has a new laptop and is able to connect to the home network with no problems.

Please can someone offer advice or assistance.

for some reason, you need to turn off your wired connection (cable) and use the client of the PCMCIA wireless network card. Maybe just the problem that your system can not separate the two network connections and gets an error it s. You should also visit the site Web of Linksys and download the latest driver and the customer for the card, so you can make sure that the software is up to date.

Another good idea would be to visit www.microsoft.com and the support center for any 'knowledge base documents' which could probably solve the problem.
As your machine is really old and no one is using PCMCIA cards more, you may wait a long time for an answer in this forum. Maybe you should check the site from linksys for a support section. Maybe they could help you...

  • More HP Officejet Pro 8600 - Fax answering incoming calls instead of answering machine

I set up the fax on my new HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus & the fax at the end past all test report & yes I used the good cable for the phone (the one that came with the fax) However when someone calls, the fax picks up the call rather than the answering machine.

Can someone tell me how to fix this please?

If you get only fax from time to time, I suggest to turn off the auto answer on the 8600, and when you hear the fax tone, * #123 to tell the fax machine to pick up. In this way, you can leave your answering machine like that and do not miss faxes.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Fax (CM749a) Email problem n911a

    Hello!

I use a HP Officejet 8600 aio n911a (CM749a) connected to a network via ethernet.

My fax machine is currently set to 'Fax to Network Folder', but I would like to change this to 'Fax to Email. I went to the Fax tab and clicked on the HP digital Fax Wizard to try to change the 'Fax to Network Folder' to 'Fax to Email' but I cannot find anywhere how to do this.

It only allows me to disable the HP digital fax or fax to network folder.

I don't know if this helps, but I have configured alerts to e-mail through EWS/settings/Email Alerts, which seems to work fine. If the printer can send emails.

I would be grateful for your help.

    Kind regards

    Osman.

    Hi Osman,

The HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911a) support only the digital repository (Scan or E-mail) to a network folder.

Only the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus / Premium models provide the specific functionality.

You can find this information in the product specifications:

  • How legal sheet and officejet pro 8600 fax

How do fax you a legal form on officejet pro 8600?

He has not worked for me; There are no settings on the bottom of the screen after using the ADF.  However, what works, it was to set up the legal size in copy mode before faxing.  But thanks a lot for the advice anyway.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Fax 'answers' in case of normal phone...

I have my Officejet pro 8600 value fax NO response.  But when in phone... via phone calls connected to the phone in the back of the printer... and the line connected to the line port... the fax machine "will answer", which is to connect to the line and interrupt the phone call, I'm... NOT when the phone rings but after a few minutes into the call.  I have to click X on the touch screen on the printer or turn it off in order to retrieve the call.  Does it randomly but quite often to be a BIG problem.  I make sure that the printer is turned off unless I need to print.

    This sounds like a defect?

No problem.  Hope that works according to a straight line.

  • HP Photosmart Plus connects to the wireless network

I'm trying to connect my HP Photosmart Plus B209A to my wireless network. My wireless router doesn't have the WPS ability to connect. When you print the worksheet diagnosis network radio printer seems to work fine as it recognises my network and my neighbours networks 3 being active. When I try to connect to a network by using the menu from the home screen of the printer wireless says no connection available. Troubleshooting suggest not having your router wireless near a wireless phone, so I put the printer directly next to the router and still no detection. I would have just thought that the wireless radio was broken, if it wasn't for the network diagnostic worksheet. The wireless router is also Verizon FiOS one. Thanks for your help!

    Hi rachorn,

I see you are having some problems connecting to your network of your HP Photosmart Plus wireless. You use a FiOS router, but installation is not able to see your wireless printer. You have a solid blue light on the front of the printer, what is the IP on the diagnostic page you printed and it says connected?

I would like you to take a look here: the printer is not found during Setup wireless network in Windows. This document will guide you through the implementation of the IP address manually, please follow all the steps listed. I also recommend moving the router over 4 ' and less than 20 feet of the printer as having close can cause communication problems.

If after all troubleshooting steps have been completed and you are unable to connect the printer to your wireless network, you may need to contact your router provider and have them open some ports that can block a successful installation.

Reply with the information requested, I'll watch for your reply.

    Thank you

  • OfficeJet pro eplus 8600: Fax by internet

I have two of these mfprinters. One is physically connected to a phone line to fax while the other is not. Both are connected to my Wi - Fi and can receive the e-print jobs from mobile sources. Is it possible to send a document from the unit who is not connected to a phone line? I am aware that I can send a job via my Mac or pc but how to do when you are in unity with a document in my hand?

    Hello

The HP Officejet 8600 offer analog fax functions, so fax of the appliance, it must be connected to an active telephone line.

You can scan the document on your computer, and then use a service like eFax computer fax.
