OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium: Print queue

Since I installed 10.1 impressions disappear. I can print by sending an e-mail, I can print reports, both the printer and the web. What is going on? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and verified that the firmware in the printer was up-to-date. I also can not print mail on my iPhone. Also, the same thing happened to my wife Air Mac and iPhone. I can print emails from HP ePrint on iphones. It is agrivating. I spent 6 hours on it!

Hello

If this happens on any Apple device I guess rather network which is common for all devices.

Try unplugging your router for 30 seconds power, then reconnect power and let it 2-3 minutes to load until all lights are ready and you have internet access on your Mac.

Then, turn the printer off and turn it back on.

Now try printing and check if you can see a difference.

If the same behavior persists, may have recently changed your network? (for example a new router, update the firmware on your router, etc.)

    Hi bunkyb43 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that the printer takes a while to connect to the printer once the computer has been restarted or powered.

I've seen this problem before and I could solve the problem by simply ensuring that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

Once the printer is connected to the wall outlet, please use the power button to do a proper feeding cycle.  This will make a semi be able to reset the printer.

I'll also give you a document ensuring that the fax settings are correct. Please click the link for "Cannot send or receive faxes".

Write me back if you have any questions or concerns.

    See you soon,.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Printer leaves black lines during copy and scan from ADF

I know this question has been asked several times, but whenever I try to copy or scan from the automatic document feeder, it leaves black lines on the copy (with the document on the works of glass like a charm).  I've read through the forums and have tried the advice to unplug the machine and so on, but none of these suggestions work.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey @Huskers1,

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

I see that you have some problems with a line when copying from the document on your Officejet 8600 Premium feeder e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Get a little water and a lint cloth.
    2. Open the left upper part of the printer, where the document since the charger goes into the printer. It should open up as you opened a book.
    3. With your damp cloth wipe the rubber stamp, the rollers in the cover and the casters on the bottom of this section.
    4. Again open the left side of the printer, as you opened a book.
    5. With your damp cloth, wipe the rollers, you will find inside this section.
    6. Close the upper sections of the printer and open the flat section.
    7. With your damp cloth wipe the rollers and the white bar you see on top of the printer
    8. Clean the glass on the left side of the printer.

Once all the pieces you cleaned dry, please let me know the results. If you remove the line, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Officejet pro 8600 premium printing issues

    1. How can I set up my printer to use the 2 for the pink paper tray and Tray 1 for white. I need to print invoices (2 copies) 1 white and 1 pink. It would be so nice to just leave the choice in tray 2 instead of opening and closing Tray 1 constently put rose in.

    2. How can I set up all my contacts fax so I don't have to repeatedly type in their number when sending faxes from your computer?

Set your tray 2 paper type to custom 8.5 by 11, normal (assuming that the pink media is basically regular media with coloring) and the State of charge bar.

When you're ready to print the first copy normally, job for the second time that you send the same print job in the pilot that opens choose custom tray 2 and send the task.  The first is to print the set a, the second job should print from tray 2.  Good luck (my expertise is mainly laserjet, but this should be the same for inkjet)

    Hi @dshirley22,

    Thanks for the response back.

I would at this point uninstall all previously installed printer software. If you need assistance, here is a document that can help - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

Once the software is uninstalled, use the HP printer installation wizard to help install the software. This tool will search and find the version of the drivers and the printer software up-to-date.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium: When copying from the plateau the copier will print only 1/8 of page, then stop.

Copier is towards the top sometimes & don't print that page of bucket 1/8, Athens he spits as if this one ends. Have unplugged the power cord & reconnected. Ran scans printhead & alignment. Off all night. All the ink levels are good. Still has not corrected it.

Print an entire page of the screen of the computer without problem. Printing problem just go flat.

    Hi @Wendy-needshelp,.

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem copying.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one with a computer and Windows 7 when you copy from sometimes flat it will only copy and print 1/8 of the page. I would like to help.

You mentioned having unplugged and replugged the power cord. This is something that could be done. If you can, I reset the power and try to connect the printer directly to a wall outlet, if you currently use a protector or electrical surge extention. Sometimes the surge protectors can limit the amout of the power supplied to the printer.

There was an update firmware released in April, which can help your printer. You can download the update of the firmware and run it from your computer to install it on the printer. You can go to the HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g_n Firmware download page by clicking here.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

    Welcome to the forums @conradnonnon

I understand that you are curious to see if the premium 8600 Officejet prints without the lower plate. Well, you're lucky because the 8600 Officejet Plus is the same that the premium, the exception has no additional substantive IBC.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Tray Lock worked until the upgrade of Windows 10

Since a year now, I have 1 locked drawer for our book of receipt only, easier than all the other printing set to automatically select the default tray to tray 2 (Tray 1 is locked and all)! But I tried the upgrade of Windows 10, that was an epic fail and my cpomputer was sent to the doctor for the day. When I came back I had to basically start over with a new computer. I have everything back to be better than before, but THIS problem! Receipts in Tray 1 and my payment software its configured for Tray 1 specifically for receipts. All other default things that select and always tray 2. I can't anything out of tray 1. HOWEVER, my boss's computer is on a network with it and when it prints a receipt from his computer he properly dispences Tray 1. Yet.

    Help! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

    Lacey!

    Hi @L2thaJ,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print correctly on tray 1 on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Is the other computer Windows 10 institutions, who works for printing on tray 1?

It looks like Windows 10 and the software you are using does not work with the printer driver, what might happen.

You are able to print to Tray 1, when printing from MS Word or Notepad?

Please ensure that you use the latest printer driver for your printer.

Download and run The printer Installation Wizard. The HP printer installation wizard detects automatically the best print available for your HP printer driver. It is only available for Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • Do not feed paper for incoming faxes, officejet pro 8600 premium

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium.  Recently I started having a problem with my incoming faxes.  An incoming fax comes through, and when it will feed the paper to print, it shows on the screen that it is paper.  He goes through the process of trying to feed paper through and makes the sounds, it does usually when I am out of paper in the feeder, but I'm not.  It prints and copies fine.  Just having this problem with the incoming fax is not able to print.  Help!

Too bad!  I found the problem.  This is a printer 2 bins and sort my incoming faxes were trying to feed from the 2nd drawer (which was empty).  I have no idea how the setting has been changed, or how to restore it, but I'm not worried about it, now that I know what it is.  I was able to print any faxes that never came through (all 24 of them, Ouch!)

    Thank you!
