  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Scan to computer

    Hello

I recently bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. Installation and configuration was successful. However, every minute or two, I get a notification of ball on the Windows task bar that says "Scan to computer do not enabled." I assume that this occurs because the printer is turned off after entering a sleep mode is not used for a specific period of time. I could be wrong about this, of course. But assuming that I'm not wrong, my question is how can I disable that irritating notifcation to appear every minute?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    1. open the control panel and write "Notification area icons" in the search:

    2. the Notification area options appears and select the option that says ""ScantoPCActivation " "

    3. Select the option that says 'Hide icon and notifications'.

    • Click OK to close the window.

I hope that these steps will help you.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans appear in white

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 scan correctly, either from the document feeder or the dish. The scans appear almost totally blank, although some weak contours are barely visible along the top. Two computers use the scanner (Mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.5) and both have the same problem. Any suggestion would be great!

    Hi ABverr,

A hard reset can solve this problem.  To do this, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer when the printer is still on.  Unplug the other end of the power cord.  After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet, and then plug it into the back of the printer.  Try a scan.

If this does not help, I linked a document with measures to correct the problems of quality of scanning.  Click here

If the problems persist, you can download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.  Click here  Let me know the results.

    Good luck!

  • 6520: scan to computer currently unavailable

I have a Photosmart6520.  I constantly get the message 'Scan to computer currently unavailable. "  I get the message when I'm put in place through the USB and wireless.  In addition, the message box indicates that I won't be able to "run a scan from the printer.

There is an option to disable this feature.  What are the risks if I disable the function?  What is the purpose of this feature?

There has been no change to the system.  It's my second 6520 in four months, and two printers have this message.  I am a user of Windows 7.  Thank you.

    Hi GoingBaroque,

I understand that you get the message 'Scan to computer currently unavailable. "

I'll be happy to help you.

You need to enable the analysis to manage the connection to the computer.

I have provided a document for a "connection error" or "no found computer" Error Message appears when trying to scan from the printer control panel to fix this.

    Hope that solves your problem.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans to the computer windows 7

I am using Windows 7 on my desktop at home for the first time (since a few weeks ago). I got this HP Officejet Pro 8600 for at least a year now, and it was easy scan documents using my Windows XP.

This morning, I scanned a document on the Windows 7 system, but tonight the icon ("HP Officejet Pro 8600") does not show the scan option. I am stunned. I need to scan more than a few documents and cannot find out how to access this feature. Help, please!

Hi delphine and welcome to the forums of HP!

I see you have a 8600 Officejet which seems to no longer provide the analysis option. I will certainly do my best so that he could share with you scanning capabilities

It's really weird that you get is no longer the option scan so I suggest that you run the HP print and Scan Doctor and see if it finds problems first. If she says that everything out very well we should be able to get an icon on your desktop HP Scan so that you can just open it directly.

To do this, click the start menu, click programs principally made, click the HP folder, click on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 folder and then right click on the HP Scan, select send to and Desktop. Then, you will see an icon on your desktop that says HP Scan and you don't have to go through the HP printer Assistant longer.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: USB connected OfficeJet Pro 8600: scanning on a network: is it possible?

    Hello world.

I have a 8600 OfficeJet Pro connected to a computer via the usb port. This computer is running Windows 7 Professional and is connected to an ethernet network.

The printer is shared with other computers (currently running either Win & and XP Pro) connected to the network can view and print to the printer without problem. However, there is no option for network computers to scan from the 8600. This option is available on the computer that is connected to the printer via the USB port.

Network scanning is possible even if, in this configuraiton or if the printer must be connected to the network via ethernet or Wi - Fi to take advantage of this feature?

    Thank you.

It is better to simply connect a network cable from the printer or turn on wireless (so both as a printer usb to the computer and the printer to network for the rest).

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Scan crash

I have problems with scanning with Officejet Pro 8600. The scanner works most of the time without any problem, but the same analysis (same settings, same computer to analyze, I haven't changed anything else the photo I'm scanning) sometimes breaks down. It can be planted two ways

    (1) ' preparing to digitize"never ends

    and

    (2) ' analysis now' never ends

Preparing to scan is the kind of problem most friendly, that after several minutes, says "unable to connect to the computer" (absolutely nothing anywhere, the last scan seconds earlier ended the most perfectly), simply disable the Officejet Pro 8600 for awhile. The "scan now" is a bigger problem, since not even on the power button / reacts to anything and I tried to wait at least half an hour for the analysis at the end. I don't hear it mechanically would do anything (you know, when the scanner scans, there should be some 'noise'). The only thing I can do these days is to unplug the power cord, and one could imagine that shouldn't be so.

    So my questions are:

    (1) what should I try?

    (2) is a good problem and so, then are we talking about problems with hardware or software?

The Officejet Pro 8600 is no longer new, I bought it in July 2013, but I remember he made at least since August. As he said, the fact that occasionally, but I'd say it's at least 5% of the time I try to scan.

    Ed. More information:

Operating system: Windows 7 Pro SP1

    Connected wireless

ScanDoctor try to analyse, and it gives an error "scanner is currently in use. Please wait until your previous task is completed and the scaning try again. »

There is another scan option I use very often, which is to use a memory card, use the scan to memory card option. the printer has not yet need to be connected.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Scan - disable the 'Save' button with MAC OS 'SIERRA '.

    Hello world

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 installed in a Macbook pro.

After having upgraded to Mac OS Sierra (10.12) 'Save' button in the HP scanning software is now disabled when the save screen appears. Save documents are possible using the 'Test' option in the menu "Preferences".

It worked fine with the latest version of 'El Captain'.

I've searched for scanning HP new version for Mac OS Sierra, but nothing.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    TKS in advance.

    Hello
The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: scanning on glass OK; scanning with ADF gives a gray line

    Hello

When I scan a document on my HP Officejet Pro 8600 glass all in one, everything is OK.  However, when I use the ADF for scanning, a gray line appears on the scanned document.  Can I reslove cela to clean something or is this a technical problem?

    Thank you!

    Marc

Hello there is Marc aka @mk75053 ,

I'm sorry to learn that when you scan from your ADF file, you see a line on your document. This is usually fixed by clean under the scanner, however there could be other causes. I have the best guide for this type of situation that will show you where clean and give the appropriate instructions. I hope that this rid your question!

Please let me know if I can help further.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 scans a page full of lines of garbage

    Hi all

I recently tried the copy and scan functions of my all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8600.  Each scanned document appears as a page of garbage (see table at right) lines.

I tried the recalibration during a cold, start tried an update of firmware (already up to date), have cleaned all glass on the device and we tried all other patch listed on generic scan HP troubleshooting page.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon,.

to stop buying HP seems to be the only conclusion possible, macscoop. No member of this company is proposed to recognize the intrinsic problem of the machine, let alone offer repair or replacement. We have, and there is apparently nothing we can do about it.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 causes the computer cursor indicate that the system is busy (turning circle)

I have connected the Officejet pro 8600 printer to my wireless home network and continuously now the cursor on the computer will indicate that the system is busy producing a turning circle every 5 to 10 seconds. The computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system.  I went to the Task Manager on the computer and has determined that a file named HpNetworkCommunicator.exe is the origin of the problem in cycling on and off (looking for a signal). I turned on the printer and the file remains on and the problem is solved. However, I don't want to leave the printer at any time, is anyway to stop this file from the search for the printer when the printer is turned off?  Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Please follow step one below and check for any progress:

If the problem continues without change, follow the second step as well.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8720: OfficeJet Pro 8720 "Scan to computer".

    Hello everyone,

I just got the Pro OfficeJet 8720, I looked in the manual and cannot find a way to the place where to customize this feature.  On the printer you ave the opportunity to "scan to computer".  When you do so, you get a list of computers where to scan them to.  I don't have a problem with that.  The question I have, it the location where he recorded. Currently, it is by default in the My Documents folder.  Is there a way to tell it somewhere else... like a folder in my documents.   I can't find a way to tell him where to go.

I got an OfficeJet L7590 and I was able to customize the location, but I can't "find a way to do it on this printer.

    Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625: Scan to computer & printer HP Assistant

I got a new 8625 Pro of OfficeJet and struggled with the configuration of the analysis feature.  I ran the software print and Scan doctor, who said he fixed a few problems, and now I can finally scan my computer.  However, I still have a problem with scanning the computer to the printer.  When I try to scan to the computer, there is a message on the printer screen that indicates that this feature must be enabled in the Printer Wizard.  However, when I open the Printer Wizard and click on manage the scan to the computer, nothing happens - the software simply does not.  Other selections in the Printer Wizard seem to work very well - just not this one.

Hi thanks for dogster , for getting back to me!

I appreciate you trying these steps. I know that you have reinstalled in the past, but there is a specific set of measures, I would try.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Please let me know how it goes!
