OfficeJet pro 8610: scanning of a document of several pages in a single file

I have an Office Jet Pro 8610 printer all-in-one. Here's my problem. When I scan a multi-page document scan up each page in a different file. I want to scan the document in a file so you can send an e-mail and save it. So far I have not figured out how this. What I am doing wrong?

Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

First of all, you need to install the software for your printer.  You can download the software from this link, be sure to select the correct operating system and the "Download COMPLETE".

http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8610-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5367603/model/5367606

Once installed, you can start using the Scan software.

There is a Scan shortcut that allows you to 'Save as PDF '.  This will scan all your documents in a single file.

A plus sign (+), not x. Anyway, if you wish, you can use the following product:

This free product allows you to divide a large file to many small files (such as the extraction of the chapters of a thick book) and also merge several pdf files into a pdf file.

    Hello Reddij,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to scan multiple documents in a single file. I'll do my best to help you and to solve this problem. First of all, I need to know what your operating system on your computer? Click here to discover: Windows or Mac?

I would recommend performing this step of your computer, the HP software. It is much easier to achieve. Please follow this document HP How to digitize. Click on your appropriate operating system, and then click "how to scan multiple pages into a single file. You will notice indicates: (digitization of additional pages is supported at 300 dpi or less.)

    1. Place a document on the scanner glass, and then click Scan your computer.
    2. When the preview scan appears, click the Plus sign ( ) on the left side of the window to scan additional pages. If you do not use an ADF, you must load the next page of the document on the glass of the scanner to add to each additional page.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Scanning both sides of the computer does not not on officejet pro 8610

    Hello

    Help, please!

Set up: Officejet Pro 8610 connected wireless for HP laptop Windows 10.

Mission: I have 10 A4 sheets with stuff on both sides. I want to scan every 20 faces and save them on my laptop in the right order.

I would like to do this automatically thought IE the automatic document feeder.

I use scan options HP Scan and Capture software in document settings

I select the source to be "heavy feeder" and duplex scan (if available) option I select '2 Facer.

Although this force the 8610 take the original since the ADF doc it's only one side.

    That's the problem!

Also if I use the HP Officejet Pro HP printer Assistant, if I select the radio button for the front and back, once its done scanning side 1 of the document it asks me to take the originals and put them in the feeder to make the other side. The scans are then coming out in the wrong order!

I bought this printer so I could do it, but can't make it work. I want to cry. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello

The HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not support scanning duplex automatic, that the more advanced of this series models supports a such (8620 & 8630 models)

You can find the printer specifications listed below:

Breeze through multipage documents with automatic two-sided scanning and the 50-page auto document feeder (for 8620/8630 only).

    http://www.HP.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2014/OJPro/OfficejetPro8610_8620_8630.PDF

You can only perform this manually with your printer model, I suggest to use the HP scanning software.

If the analysis is delivered in the wrong order, try to install and use the HP extended Scan application and check differences:

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

    Hope that helps,

  • scanning of a document of several pages of hp 8500 a909a results in the separate analyses for each page

I have a MacBookAir operating on the latest version of the Apple software, Lion. I have an OfficeJet 8500 A909a. I want to scan a document of several pages of the scanner in my computer. I want to use the document feeder. The document feeds into the scanner, but each page is scanned in a separate file. I want each page to analyze successively in a single file. I am a new user of MacBook. (My Dell Windows based computer can do this successfully.)

OK, so you use scan apple in this case. When you are at step 7 in your list, there should be a button to view the details, click on that. You should now see the option to format along the right, set it to the PDF format, and a box should appear saying combine single-file.

Welcome to the HP Forums @LenaZen

I saw your message not be able to scan from the ADF, however, you can copy the ADF very well.

Regarding scanning from the ADF, you will need to open the HP software on your computer and check the settings for scanning to scan from the ADF and not the bed of the scanner. Copies are not handled by the software as the scans, it's why you don't have a problem with pulling copies and power by fine with the ADF.

Here is a guide with additional information for you to see. Click on the link and select "How to scan an original of several page in one file" to see software instructions: Scan of Windows 8 with full functionality software HP for HP Multifunction printers

    Hello

I want to scan a stack of documents (say 20) and then save it maybe 3 in a single file 4 as another 1 as another... etc.

    See you soon

    Hi chrisymc,

I'm afraid that you can't save all 20 documents at once and then save as a separate file, however what you can do is to insert only the target number that you wish to save it as a single to the ADF file / flat and then trigger the scan to complete the scan. and move on to the next batch of pages scanner to another file.

    I hope that helps

    Hello
Gmail recently changed several security options that can block the printer to connect to their servers.

First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you define for the printer.
    https://myaccount.Google.com/

Within the signature in section check that '2-step audit' is defined as 'Off', so make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'Authorized', otherwise, the verification fails.

Within the activity recent section click on "Devices", if you see a blocked the connection attempt (it will be highlighted in red) click Yes, and then follow the steps in allowing access for insecure applications...

Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.

If you are still having trouble, make sure you use the correct connection to Gmail as follows details:

    SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com

    Porrt: 465

    Required SSL: checked

    Login required: checked

    User: gmail full email address

    And your gmail password
