OfficeJet Pro 8620: HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 ADF feeder

I have an error message on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 which won't go away and so I can't use the printer, which is less than 1 year old. The message says, "the original is stuck in the ADF (ADF).  Open the ADF cover, remove and reload the original and then try again.

My problem is that there are not any apparent jam and I can't erase the message. I am seeking to solve views.

For those interested, I stopped and unplugged the printer from the surge protector. Restarted but no luck.

I then bought a can of duster sprayed everywhere and has erased the message. I suspect that a piece was pasted on a sensor. I'm now operational! See you soon!

New Machine - age for a day. Follow the installation procedure and a tray loaded with good paper 20 # 8-1/2 "x 11". When I send a print job to the printer - the finished sheet is great except for a double crease to the top of the sheet. It's as if she gets stuck, deform the sheet and then it ends. • OfficeJet Pro 8620e ADF jam error after firmware update

After you install the updated firmware from the touch screen of the printer, the printer restarts and now has an error that says "Original is caught in the ADF (ADF).  Open the cover of the ADF, remove and reload the original, then try again. »

I went through all the steps to clear a jam from the ADF, but the opinion is persistent.  It is not (and was not before the upgrade) in the ADF at all.  Since this coincided with the update of the firmware, my suspiscion is that the firmware has not installed properly or something.  What am I doing here?

This problem has been resolved using the printer instead of purchase and exchange for another.  I can hardly believe that the cables are working loose within two weeks, she was detained and then broke at the exact time that the firmware update has been completed.  In any case, the problem was solved by replacing the printer.  I don't have any feedback solutions until a month after I did.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 first: Feeder does not

    Hello:

I use a HP Officejet Pro 8500 first all-in-one printer, and recently I started having problems with the document feeder. It always saves when a document is sitting there, but when I choose "Scan" it makes a really loud grinding noise, short and says that I need to reload the document, and then try again. I also noticed that the roller is demeaning not himself, he is already lowered when I place documents in now. I think that maybe that's the problem.

I also have the error 'Pump motor Stall' when I restart the device.

No idea how can I fix? I scan a large number of documents in the office and the document feeder is quite crucial for time management.

    Thank you!

Hello @ddehner523and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have questions about your feed paper.  I would like to help!

I recommend to remove printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also turn on the power of the printer into a different wall outlet.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Paper feeding problems

Is it possible to manually feed a single sheet of paper in the 8610?  I have sheets simple manual power in my old Lazerjet 4Plus and find it convenient if I use 'good side paper '. (reuse, recycling)

    @Arnot41

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

I don't think you can "unique paper source" in this printer.

Part of the problem could be the way the printer picks up the paper - the mechanism (rollers, power, sensors) - must be "so" or something can glitch and you might get an error any.

Assuming that the paper is the same quality paper that could be used in the printer in any case, it is standard 20 # bnd, white paper, or another high-quality brand HP or equivalent, then the following should work:

You might be able to 'good use' book on top of new paper in the tray from the stack and use it that way.  If the printer not to panic because of the paper with something printed on the back of the paper, it should work.

Stack the paper into the tray with the clean side to print "hidden face".   This means that the 'already printed side' will be visible when the paper is in the tray.

You can try it certainly - if the printer doesn't like it, it will tell you on this subject.

The 8630 Pro OfficeJet print on paper one side "already used" - I just tested.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7780 - document feeder does not attract pages. The charger did not result in pages using

I have an Officejet L7780 which is not driven by the document feeder. He finds himself with the first page and try to in the page but it gets stuck with it.  I wasn't able to get through, but I can enter a part of the page that is stuck and shoot OK.  It seems that the rollers do not work much more.  Is this something that can be corrected/fixed/replaced?

    Hello

Make sure you use media supported (weight/type).  If you frequently use your ADF, you can have an accumulation on the pick up rollers.  I have included a link below that describes how to clean them and how do I check to make sure that there is no piece of paper stuck under the hood of the ADF that would prevent to draw correctly.  Good luck!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Document feeder causing vertical lines in copying and scanning

When I copy or scan via the document feeder I get two vertical lines on the copy or scan.  How can I fix it?

Hello @aadmin, hope you are well!

Thank you for becoming a member of the HP Forum. It's a great place to get help from the community, to get suggestions and find what has worked for others.

I understand that you are facing problems while scanning / copying using the ADF. Please, try the following steps to resolve this problem.

    1. Make a blank copy using the ADF. Ideally, you should get a blank document with the two vertical lines.
    2. Keep the page out on your dish / the main scanner bed facing you.
    3. Follow the line or streak on the paper to the box on the ADF glass is the origin of the problem. Carefully clean the thin "strip of lid of scanner ADF white' and 'the band glass ADF Scanner' with a damp lint cloth.
    4. See the figure below. 3 is the glass Strip ADF & 2 is the white cover ADF scanner.

These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results.

    See you soon

  • HP Officejet Pro 6835: Double feed detection

Any recommendation for a printer with Double feed detection and automatic framing is cheap.

I worked on several printers HP and only time wherever they detect that a double is when two sheets of paper are slightly out of sync and it STINKS that is detected in a room that was too long.

If you are looking for a multifunction device which detects the ADF hp multifeeds has those, but it's not going to be on a cheap machine.

    Hey @stephinola,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are having a hardware problem with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I would like to advise you on this.

I had a look at HP PartSurfer to see if it would be possible to order a replacement ADF for your 6700. You can click here to see the complete list of spare parts - the ADF is not one of them. If you wish, you can continue the official maintenance options, in which case, I recommend that join you our technical support team. You can click on the following link to start a business: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Once you complete the form online to build your business, you can choose among different ways to contact direct.

Alternatively, if you feel more gung ho to keep the 6700 in service a little longer, you can try a repair DIY ADF. Look for a brand of crazy glue that would work with the materials of your printer and try to stick the stamp on the ADF. If you can live without ADF, you should always be able to scan from the flatbed glass.

Let me know if it helps. Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

    Good luck

  • OfficeJet 8500 function ADF simplex vs. duplex

The 8500 I just bought will not print two copies of the ADF face.  The manual says this only available on some models.  So, I came across the site of HP to find what models have printing duplex, ADF, so you can feed a two originals face through the ADF and copy both sides of the paper without having to manipulate the document and return it manually.  But that info is not listed in one of the specifications for the 8500 models.  They say they're going to copy two sides.  Then I checked the manuals online here and found there is one manual for all models and all the manual says is that this feature is included on some models, but does not say which ones who.  So I checked the troubleshooting and found a FAQ which addressed this issue but, once again, he didn't say which models include printing duplex, ADF.

Can someone tell me which of the 8500's have the ADF dupexing?  If you could post the real model number, not the A90 number... but the CB... in the back of the printer model number, I'd be very happy.

    TIA.

Yes, I contacted HP and they said that none of the 8500 models can copy both sides using the automatic feeding system.  So if you want to make two copies of faces through the autofeed status bar, you need to do a page at a time, flipping between pages.  Great fight and defeats the purpose of having a photocopier with a duplexer, IMO.

I stick to my Officejet L7780.  It will automatically do a 50-page document, through the autofeeder, both parties.  I love.  I was buy and repair for the last couple years now.  You can find recharged cartridges for $20 on ebay that work great.  Now just need a cheaper source for the print heads, and I'll be set!

    Good luck.
