Ofice jet pro 8500 has more: officejet pro 8500 printing in BLACK when a color is out.how t usually do print in black only?

8500 will not print in black only when one color is out. How to print in black. I tried to reset the color management to just black but it still won't print. the page is coming from my asus laptop wireless

The Officejet 8500 has individual inks with separate printheads and "plumbing" to connect.  It requires ink in all colors to keep the plumbing for all air and/or damage the printheads.

Not the answer you want to hear, but you will need to replace the depleted cartridges.

The here document contains information on how the ink is used, in the terminology of this page the Officejet 8500 is an IIC printer.

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer. I try to print the recipes on cards, but everytime I try to do my printer says "incorrect paper size" and then cancels the job. How can I fix it? I have a macbook... I don't know if it's part of the problem?

Most programs running under OS X obey the size of default page defined by the Print Center/Printer Setup Utility preferences.

A notable exception to this rule, however, is that Microsoft Word, which has its own system to decide what paper size to use.

Change the default value of letter to A4

Idea of what should be the default paper size is set in the Normal template.

Go to Format > Document, and then press the button layout... .

Set the size of A4 paper, and then press OK.

Press the button by default... , answer Yes to the dialog box, and then press OK.

I imagine that this also applies to listings so instead of A4, you'd look for 4 x 6! Please let me know if that does the trick!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more stalls now displaying "printing".

Hi, in the Office I work in that we have 2 HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Series. It is on a network with 3 PCs running WIndows 7 and the other is connected via wifi to a PC that is also running Windows 7.

The problem is that the printer is on a network often stalls displaying "print now" on the screen of the printer. The only way to continue to print is to turn off the computer, and then on again once, wait that he do his cleaning etc. then press print. It's normally ok for this work print, but as soon as other print jobs are added must be reset to zero and the cycle repeats endlesly all day. Until recently the other printer connected via wifi was working fine but now that is also exactly the same as described above.

Recently, I searched the forums and have discovered that it is a common problem with this type of printer.

I did the resets partial or total of the two printers without result.

Bothe printers currently use the firmware version: LRP1FN1126AR, which I believe is the latest firmware.

Please someebody can explain how to make these printers are working properly? Thank you very much

Opening and closing the door of cartrdge seem to generate an interrupt that resets the connection and unlocks the pending print job.

While not solving the underlying abnormality, it is much faster and esier on you and the printer.

    Hey @FICONT,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with your PC of Windows 8.1 slow printing to your Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once this is done, please let me know if you still have problems slow printing.

  • HP 6500 has more OfficeJet printer all in one.

Windows printer test page prints fine (black, logo in colour text) - nothing else prints - black non-existent text, very light print on any color. ink cartridges have been checked and are fine (evidence the test print page very well after the problem has started. my daughter could change some print settings trying to get black and white, rather than a default color - printing anyway to factory reset to original settings if that's the problem.

Through this site help, reported the quality printing, nothing displayed on the page, except pink ink.

There are a few things to check.  First check the vents of the ink cartridge is properly erased as shown here in the Solution 2  After checking the events running up to three cycles of cleaning from the Toolbox Panel or a printer. Also try to do a copy - color and black.  If copies are OK the problem is related to the driver.  More likely, it will print incorrectly either, in which case a matter for the printer.  If the ventilation openings are not blocked the post here can help solve the problem.

It will not print a configuration report and I can't find a sticker with the serial number anywhere on this unit. HP support isn't much help without the serial number.  Help!

    Hi @GaryW229737 ,

I see that the printer is stuck in initialization mode and you cannot find the serial number of the printer to provide that assistance from HP. I would like to help you today.

Typically the serial number is located on the back of the printer, or the printer, there should be a sticker with barcode with listed there.

What happened before this error message? (paper jam, paper changed a toner)

I have provided a few steps to try to see if we can solve this problem.

Disconnect the USB/network/FAX and turn the printer on standalone.

Check and remove any material packing inside the printer and toner.

Do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

If the problem persists, perform a supply line by unplugging the power cord at the back of the printer and maintaining the power button down for 30 seconds and in the case of a power switch keep the power switch for 30 seconds before reconnecting it to power.

Update the firmware of the printer. Drivers for MFP HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw.

I can send a private message with some one more step to try.
In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

Please let me know the results.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • Office jet Pro 8630: printer storage for 18 months

We are about to travel for 18 months and want to store our printer then out.  I have the original box and packaging ploystyrene, if you want some advice on reconditioning safely - I can find help for printers smaller, but not the 8630.  Also, should I remove the ink cartridges.  Assistance would be most appreciated John

The cartridges should be stored in the printer.  Be sure to turn off the printer's power switch and let the printer to get things "parked" before unplugging the printer.  Store the printer in a place not subject to significant fluctuations of temperature.  I wouldn't put the printer in its original packing, if you don't do that you keep the printer oriented as it would be on a desk - the package has a normal orientation which has the printer on its side, this should be avoided as the ink of the service area may elapse.  If the printer is going into a storage facility you can put in its original packaging, but make sure the printer 'flat '.

I had an extra Officejet 8600 more (same inks and printheads as yours) that I implemented, then set aside for a full year.  I was surprised, but the first impression after decommissioning storage printed without needing any fussing in all - no manual cleaning or running cleaning cycles not needed.  I was actually expecting that I would need to run a few cycles of cleaning of the façade, or perhaps even remove the printhead and soak.  I had the printer stored in a spare room, protected from the Sun and away from heating vents.

  • Office jet 6500 HP has more: printer is not compatible with the new computer

    Hello!

I recently bought a HP Pavilion desktop computer and connected to my all in one HP officejet 6500 a more printer. I tried to use the scan function and a message informing that no computer has been detected.  I tried to install the CD however, a message appears indicating that the operating system on this computer was not supported.  Message continued, "the software can be installed on computers running the following systems, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7" (my old computer that was connected to the printer work with Windows Vista). The message advised me to upgrade the operating system on this computer or install this software on any other computer system.  I don't know what to do to get this printer compatible with my new computer.  Is this possible?  Help, please!

Hi there lavlock, RnRMusicMan is absent today. With 48 hours removed from this post, you are still in place and scanning? If so, I've always been a strong supporter of, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it. "
