OGNL presentation - mark read-only?

Hello

In part an UserInteraction object, I have a value default of ' #_userdisplayname '.

I use this for which captures the current user who meets the interaction (approval process).

Is it possible to transfer only the current user (cannot be changed)?  I use for verification purposes, but don't want the person approving the action to change it.

BTW...

The end-user uses the web client in 6.x to respond to these actions.

Thank you

B

Hello

There is no direct property to mark a presentation read-only field.

There is a sort of workaround, however. Open to edit the presentation of user interaction (as indicated on your screen), click the "Approve" display group and enter the expression you want to display in the form of a text read-only in "General"-> field 'Description' at the bottom of the dialog box.

For example, you can enter something like:

Directly responsible for: ${__userdisplayname}

When you start the workflow, and it reached approval stage, you should see a read-only label, something like

Directly responsible for: __John Doe

  • Signatures - when I 'mark read-only' file is too large

I use Adobe 9 Pro to create a form and it works fine. When I change the properties 'signed' by 'mark read-only' that the user fills fields, it makes the file grow to a huge 2 + MB file.

Any ideas on how to do this cut down? My next step will be to allow Adobe reader to be able to save the form, but it is too large to be usable in its current state.

OK, I went to my original copy that was 'weak' so I clicked 'Save as optimized'; highlight "fonts" and checked "do not désincorporer any what font"; clicked 'OK' saved as a new file and then changed my signature to read-only options and saved as an active player and it is now 591 KB instead of 2258 KB.

Thanks to me through the steps.

  • How Mark Read only cases based on RadioButton selections

I have spent the last hour looking through old discussions and found nothing on this subject, so maybe it will help others in the future as well.

I'm building a dynamic PDF for people at work to use for troubleshooting.  Basically, it follows the same logic flow charts I have already done, but by asking questions and saying technicians what do based on their responses.  Top I have checkboxes which are kind of 'high level questions' that I want to be read-only and that they check automatically as they make their way through the radio buttons.

My ultimate goal is to integrate this PDF file in our ticketing system and the checkboxes at the top level will show the troubleshooting that has already been accomplished without the technician having read the full PDF to find out what to do next.  If we have to send a technician on site to fix whatever it is she will also act as a report of climbing, to let him know where we could get without him being there.

I thought this might work, but apparently I don't understand the coding as well as I thought I did.  I hope I'm close lol.

  • Copy the file on CD - read-only?

    Windows XP

When copying files (Word and Excel) to a CD - are the files once on support are automatically marked read-only. The files are not reported as such on the disk. This creates unnecessary confusion from people I pass the CD to.

Is - this "drop automatically read-only' XP 'feature' which can be turned off?

My Windows 7 computer does not change the flag in this way.

    Mark

It is by design. The files on the CD-ROM must be copied to the HDD to the other machine and then the read-only attribute can be removed.

  • Cannot get rid of the read-only file attribute

I have a folder on my PC which is marked read-only.  The Setup program seems set up like that.  If I right click on the folder and go to 'Properties' there is a grey checkmark on "read only".  If I have it uncheck the box, and then click OK or apply then OK, it remains unalterable (the grey tick comes).  There is no hidden file in the folder.

    How can I fix it?

Contrary to all logic of common sense, the 'Read only' attribute, as shown in the Properties screen has absolutely nothing to do with 'Read only' when it refers to a folder in Windows XP. In fact, it indicates that it is a custom folder.  A full explanation can be found here:

You don't mention exactly what your "problem" is with this folder, so I can not develop too much more than that.

  • Cannot delete the files read-only on display

    Hello

I copied files from my PC to the view, but when they were on the PC, they were marked read-only. Now, I found that I can't remove them from the sandisk as it says that they are read-only.

How do I change the properties of the files so I can delete them?

    Thanks for any help!

    Worto.

I format the device if these files take up a lot of space, then resyn or copy the data (do not read that things) on the device.  Be sure to back up all data you want to save the device before formatting.

The format option is in the settings menu system.

  • Disk is read only-no matter what I do...

I have a 2 TB AV disc which worked fine - until this week.  All of a sudden if I try to write to the disk, I get a message saying the disk is write-protected.  Check the drive, all files seem to be marked read-only.  When I change, they return immediately to be read-only.  I am an administrator and I have all permissions.  This happened right after that I ran a disk defragmentation program, but support for the program swear their software is not and cannot change the attributes of any sort, not to mention all the files in each folder on the entire disc.  Any help and thoughts appreciated - it's very frustrating!

The read-only attribute is not applicable to folders in Windows Vista. So tried to change the read-only attribute how you do doesn't help. Despite tech that said support defragmentation program, it is obvious that defragment the external hard drive has a problem. There is no reason for you to defragment an external hard drive holding nothing but the data anyway.

Try to take possession of the disc.

To take ownership of a folder (or drive):

1 right click on the file (or the disc) you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. click on the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    3. click on modify. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    4. click on the name of the person you want to give to the property.
    5. If you want this person to be the owner of the files and subfolders in this folder, select the Replace owner of subcontainers and objects to check.
    6. click on OK

If you do not see the Security tab, then switch Mode without failure.

Alternatively, you can take possession of the car from the command line. Start an elevated command prompt.

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator". Provide the password/OK to the UAC prompt and you will now have an elevated command prompt.

For files or directories or disks (will perform action recursively):

    takeown /f directory_name /r /d [Enter]
    ICACLS nom_repertoire/grant administrators: F/t [Enter]

    or

takeown /f /r d:\ dy [Enter] (where d:\ is the correct letter of the destination drive)

Replace your username for administrators in the top line. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Read-only resets, Highlighted and unaudited

    Vista...

If I have a folder (or file) that is designated read-only, can I deselect it, apply, get out, pull up the properties close and it will be underlined again by itself.

All my folders are defined in read-only on my desktop and I can't do everything to zero. They all come back to read only by themselves. Also, maybe the difference between files and folders, but my file Number boxes are put in evidence and files boxes RO are archived

You need a control total and perhaps owner changes.  Are they really read-only when opened (or you are actually able to change or revise their despite the highlight or the box)?  This applies only to folders and desktop files or other files and folders as well (like those in your Documents folder)?  In Vista, a LOT of files and folders are marked read only intentionally by the program (unlike XP) for prevent editing system and other files/folders that should not be changed (at least not unless carried out by experts or management to experts).  This is usually not does not apply to office supplies (except maybe the settings.ini which you should leave alone).

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner).  You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.)  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

Once you have the full control permissions and full ownership (and have replaced the permissions inherited from the folder parent in the Advanced Properties section) then you should be able to make the changes you want.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot modify READ ONLY file attributes using the administrator account

I tried the windows Explorer and a custom program called Directory Opus. I tried to create several administrator accounts, but not luck.

I can't work with this existing problem.

    I need a solution.

I have exactly the same problem.  Following the steps above did not work, folders/subfolders unchangeable rest.  I am the owner of the folder and subfolders.  I don't know yet how they became Read-Only to start.  Read-only on the individual files setting works correctly.  Changing the settings of file does not work.

    IMPORTANT EDIT:

According to a message from the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
You cannot view or change the read-only or system attributes
To summarize, Windows does not include system or read-only folders settings (he was aware of these properties on the FILES however).  Individual applications that you use cannot ignore the State of read-only on a folder and can give an error.  In my situation, an application was trying to create a new file in a folder that has been marked read-only and honored the RO parameter and refuses to try to create the new file.

To actually change these attributes, properties menu will not work.  The KB source:

    • If you click apply changes to this folder only , the read-only attribute is changed for all files in the folder. However, the read-only attribute is not changed for the folder, its subfolders or files in its subfolders. If you click apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files , the read-only attribute is changed for all files in the folder and all files in the subfolders. However, the read-only attribute is not changed for the folder or its subfolders.

To change these properties, the user must start a Terminal command line and execute the changes by hand, for example, this command:

    • attrib - r + s c:\test

.. What will remove the READ ONLY parameter and apply the SYSTEM setting in the folder.  Once more, change the properties of files (including files in subfolders) works as expected with the right click - Properties-> Security menu.

  • API import block and read only fields

I want to create a custom field for a Contact that will be read only in the interface user of E10, but for that I can import values via import bulk API.  I created my domain via the REST API as a text type and marked read-only; It appears as such in the user interface.  I then create an import via the API definition in bulk and run an import.  The status of the synchronization ends as "warning", and my read only field is not filled.

I tried the same import API code block using custom fields not unalterable and he succeeds, then I'm sure it has to do with the read-only field.  Is there a way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

UPDATE: I received confirmation from someone of Eloqua fields read-only cannot be set via the import bulk API.

  • cannot save file metadata, file is read only

I have several files that I changed in LR, then changed in PS and saved in a different format.  Their return to LR and tried to record metadata in files, but it will not allow that and says that the files are 'read only '.  How can I change as read-only to read/write?

Good answer found by dj_paige!  When I went to make a screenshot of the folder permissions, I found that although security, I have it changed so I had full access, the general tab for the parent folder is still marked read only.  After unchecking read only on the parent folder and the folder and subfolders over 1000, it's finally let me save metadata!  Big thank you!  For everyone with this problem, I would start by right clicking on the parent folder to all your image files, in general tab, uncheck Read-only and then if it does not change the permissions for different people on your computer.  I'm all for controlling the most possible and to relinquish control as a last resort!  Again, thank you dj_paige for me by browsing.  You've been very helpful!
