  I got a new database I have to optimize. So I think to delete some installed components that I think are not be used somehow in the database (IE procedures calls etc.). I see a whole bunch of components as "ODD", 'ORDIM', which I think are not used, but previous DBAs have installed them. So, is it possible to make sure that no part of the database are actually using these components so that I can remove these components. Also, what are your expert comments on it?

  Is it a production or a development environment? If an object is not used then this isn't necessarily a problem (performance wise) unless it is either cluttering up your dictionary or raising concerns regarding the consumption of unnecessary space. Personally, I would recommend that it is preferable to resolve what is to be used / taken of resources. It is maybe once a year report or a few old utility out once a year, the best monitoring, why those things are there.

  If you go down the road of a fall, rather than drop anything immediately block accounts for an agreed period to ensure that the scheme is not used & check all references other schemas of objects in the schema that you intend to drop, potentially of audit to check if they are being called by other patterns / verification dba_dependencies between schemas and objects using a hierarchical query to check the sub-levels.

  There are also quite a few standard Oracle components that are installed by default that have interdependencies and not necessarily be used in the dictionary (control dba_features_usage_statistics)

  I recently chose to recreate a site that was removed from the use of our home owner Association. This site has been able to do the two things that I've been able to accomplish a. These two things:
  
  (1) insert form user data into a database (I CAN DO THIS RIGHT!)
  (2) send an email containing the data of the form to the user (and group)
  
  Is there a way to accomplish both of these tasks using a DW coding (again, I said, I can INSERT data into the database)

  Through the use of forms To Go, you have responded with the answer to my question (to solve in BOTH cases).

  I think it's true (that you offered the solution)... I go to their website, but does not see that the added value on Forms To Go mentioned anything on the database insertion process. I sent a query to ask this question even (such as presented here by me at the get-go)... I'll see what they respond with. And, given that a FREE TRIAL of forms To Go, I'll do this and investigate on the spot.

  Funny, inherently we all know where we are 'on the topic' and helping to resolve the problem indicated. Most likely, read you my first response "jump" and determined that I was reacting to the loss of time since I said I had resolved on tasks, but wanted a solution to both... then again, maybe that I could have written it more clearly?

  Hi all

  I installed the server weblogic 12 c, now install Forms 11g R2.

  the location installation step gives the following error:

  INST-07248: rental house Weblogic specified is not a valid location

  Here are the installation instructions that I use:

  Media to have on hand before installing:

  1 wls1032_win32.exe
  2 ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_32 files (there are 4 of them)
  3 msvcr71.dll (this is not required on computers that have completely updated .NET infrastructure).

  To install the developer of forms and reports 11 g:

  1. make sure that the operating system is completely patched up.
  2 log in as local administrator.
  3. firewall must be set to off before installing
  4 copy the msvcr71.dll in both files from c:\windows\system32 in the target system (if it already exists, do not complete this step).
  5 copy wls1032_win32.exe on your desktop.
  6 copy the ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0 files (there are 4) on your desktop.
  7. run wls1032_win32.exe to install the WebLogic Server. (~ 15 minutes)
  1. tap on next.
  2. create a new home of Middleware, the default directory is OK, press Next.
  3. do not enter an email address (email address of support Oracle / user name), let 'I wish' unchecked, do not enter "My Oracle Support Password", press next. Press 'YES' to the warning.
  4. choose "Typical", press Next.
  5 product default installation directory is OK, press Next.
  6. choose "All Users" folder of the start menu, tap Next.
  7. Press Next.
  8 WebLogic install.

  2. click on "install and configure", press Next.
  3 prerequisites will be activated, press Next.
  4. type of password weblogic, press next.
  5. do not type in the email of support Oracle, uncheck the box "I Wish", do not type a password to My Oracle Support, tap Next. Press 'YES' to the warning.
  6. let the House places and directories by default, tap Next.

  11. Forms and reports will be set up.

  Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
  Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT

  If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

  What you ask is impossible. Oracle Forms is designed to interact specifically with the Oracle database. You can access the other tables in the database in an Oracle using Oracle heterogeneous Services database, but right ODBC is no longer supported.

  Thank you very much for your reply, I use windows 8.1! I found the problem: to install the new version installation needs the program old installation (but I have remove all the installer, because they use a place a lot on hard drive (SSD)).

  I have uninstall all Adobe and reinstalled, I save the full installer on an external drive. When the installer asked the former installer I indicate to programm my drive external and everything works fine now.

  Thanks so much for your help, I just do not delete the old file (sad having to save old installler just to install the new).
