  I'm an amateur photo with literally thousands of photos of scenic and nature, all labeled with keywords and manually marked locations (since my DSLR is not an internal GPS and therefore cannot automatically geotag photos) in iPhoto on our old computer that runs on the Mavericks. Recently, we bought a new iMac that runs on El Capitan, and when we moved my data from the old computer, all of my iPhoto library moved into Photos. Unfortunately, because the pictures does not support the manual tagging locations, all hours of work I put in dropping the pins on maps to show the exact location where all my photos have been taken has disappeared. Enter Photos and keywords to adapt to all of the States, cities and specific locations where these pictures were taken just is not practical; my list of keywords would get horribly difficult to handle, and a good number of these photos were taken in "one-of-a-kind" tasks because they were taken on the fly from a moving vehicle. And that is not even taking into consideration all overtime work that would result. There must be someone out there who is dealing with the frustration of having to deal with a system that was designed for the casual snapshot-takers rather than serious photo enthusiasts! I still have the old computer with iPhoto installed on it and all the photos that I put in it until we bought the new computer. Is it possible that I can get the old computer to the new iPhoto? Can I put it on an external drive or DVD and copy it to the El Cap computer as iPhoto, or will it simply push all in Photos or choke and gag on that? I continue to work with my photos in iPhoto on your old computer, and I hope that he does not die in the near future? (And while we're at it, has any outside me informed Apple photos how bad works for those who need features in iPhoto that does not get incorporated in the Photos?   My old computer died, and I purcassed a new p6230y of computer a HP. I installed my old hard drive in to the new computer as a second HD in hard drive Bay 2. I would like to transfer my files from the old HD to the new HD. I would then format the old HD and use it internally as a second HD. After the installation of the drive hard I can't find the old man (HD) on my computer. I see that the old HD has been installed successfully by running a diagnostic of the car. All this out OK. I can't access the old HD in some way other than the quotes, and when I start the computer I can see that a second HD is installed. What I am doing wrong? And what can I do to access the info on the old HD and use it as a second HD in my new computer? Am I missing some step in the implementation / install? Help.

  Hi I have an old HP Deskjet 932C printer and it does not work with my new laptop which has Vista.  TThe old driver disk is not installed and the computer tells me that it should work with the current drivers on the computer.  I have contected to the computer to the printer with a USB cable.  Is there anything I should do I don't know?  I would like for the printer to work through the router but would be happy if it worked only with a cable.

  It is certainly possible, in fact, it should be fairly simple how experienced you are with computers. Hand, you have a few options I can think. Was of course since I am not aware of what kind of hard drive in your old computer, you will probably need to buy an additional cable\cord\connector to connect to the motherboard, and if it is an old IDE drive, you can buy an IDE to SATA as one of them.

  This is all assuming you want to keep the hard drive installed on the PC. And although it may sound intimidating or difficult to do, it's really not! If you can put some screws with a screwdriver, you will be able to install the old drive if your new PC. Simply enter the model number of your PC to the HP drivers & support web page or click on the following link: upgrade and repair, (this is for the model number you provided) read the first couple pages & then proceed to PDF page #17. Read & review the instructions once in a relationship, print out the instructions if necessary, collect tools (flat head screwdriver & anti-static bracelet), then just follow instructions & take your time paying attention to the illustrations. It is frankly less work & easier than typing all of this out.

  Either way, you can easily connect to your computer must use one of these: existingUSB-adapters IDE that allows you to directly access a device of ATA/ATAPI IDE interface. Everything is a matter of preference and what you are comfortable doing.  To find these items I already mentioned, just google 'em and either find a computer store nearby and investigate with them or order from a decent distributor in your country for the best prices. Overall, there are many more options that I've listed here, but they are all relatively will do the same thing; that is the type of player, you must convert a USB cord. Hope this helps!   Just to close this debate; unfortunaely the quick response has not responded to the problem. BestBuy has suggested that I try a composed of derivation of a shot and 2 containers. Finally, I got the system works 'after' discovery that the enormous power brick disliked the new arrangement of power when I replaced the old computer with the desire. I had to replace an adapter 3 - wat and consolidate the brick. A lot of noise to get her old system to work but now I have the choice of speakers or headphones driven by a hold on a HDMI monitor.   Fortunately, CS5, the problem is resolved, the serial number only works for it a DSL (I used to download one in another language as what has been bought, apparently).
