I have an old program built on Microsoft access (Loft Pro) that I use in my hobby of pigeons, but xp is the last OPS it will run on how can I go to find someone to help me move forward, the company that created Loft Pro is no longer active

If the program works with Windows XP, there is at least a decent chance that you can make it work with Windows 7.

Finally, if you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, you can get XP Mode, which is running XP on a virtual machine in Windows 7 (see PC World's article above).

However, you must realize that XP Mode, like genuine XP, will be no longer supported after April 2014.  The main problem with the discontinuation of the support is that Microsoft will provide more security updates.  So, if you continue to use XP after April 2014, there will be greater risk that your computer - if connected to the Internet - will be subject to attack.  If your old program does not need to access the Internet, running using XP Mode should be safe.  Or, if your old program does not need to access the Internet, you just dedicate an old computer to run and not connect to this computer to the Internet.

    You need to reinstall Word 2003 or Office 2003 from the original disc. Windows Easy Transfer does not transfer programs.

    It is not necessary to uninstall your current version first. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to leave it installed until you are certain you have everything works the way that you want with the new facility. When you install Lightroom CC 2015 it will prompt you to allow him to create a new copy of your catalog. You should allow this to happen. Then the new Lightroom should pick up right where you left it. Once you are sure that everything has been installed correctly and you no longer need the old version you can then uninstall it. Both versions are completely independent.

    Thank you - was reluctant to download a product microsoft not by fear of screwing something else, but your message inspired me to go to the microsoft web page and search for help - found in trouble there and after two hours of observation fix it scan and fix problems in Java, I could uninstall and then get the new Java to work perfectly.
