• New T5i w / 18mm to 135mm lens Pop Up flash question?

  Hi all:

  I just got my new T5i rebel with the 18mm to 135 mm lens. I use a filter UV Polaroid and lens hood EW-73 b. I take excellent photos, but I wonder if it is having a problem.

  My problem is the sometimes the flash will pop up and flash in full sun. It can be the focal distance at the time. The T4i there this problem or is it a problem?

  Tthank you for the answer. In fact, I was in the landscape or fully automatic firing Mode. One of the shots I was in one of the two formentioned mode, at 135 mm with a white wall on my left. In another shot, I took another shot in the open landscape and the flash popped up. I'll try again this weekend and try the different modes and I get results. And thank you, I have always appreciated the assistance.

• New T5i with a video problem

  I received a new Canon T5i mailed the week last of Ritz camera.  At first, everything seemed splendid; It was an upgrade for me to an old XTi and I practice with this camera so that I can cover the launch of the NASA of the week with her next.

  This morning, so that the video shooting a problem suddenly appeared from nowhere.  Right in the middle of a video screen turned solid purple video recording and started to blink.  I stopped recording soon after but the screen continued showing this problem until I took the camera out of film mode.  At that point, I started the live view mode and everything was fine.  I went back to video mode and everything seems to be back to normal, but the problem looks like sensor failures I've seen with other devices in the past.

  It worries me a lot because I'm supposed to cover the launch of the Orion capsule week next as a guest to the event of social media from NASA.  The last thing I need is for the problem reappear in the middle of the launch.  I don't know why it happened, what it means or how to prevent it in the future.  The camera has not dropped or received damage that I know.  It was delivered to me and seemed to be in good condition when it happened, but now I fear that something may happen during shipping to cause an intermittent problem with the sensor or a loose connection.  Anyone here has any experience with this kind of failure and is there any fix for it?  Here is a link to the video containing the problem.  I have re-compressed it but otherwise it's totally unchanged:

  Welcome to the Canon Forum.

  I looked at the sample video you posted, and it is definitely not normal.  It can be the image sensor, but it can also be something wrong with the way the camera was recording video to the memory card.  I would try another card to see if it does not help.  If the problem persists, the unit must be repaired.

  Hi, my first post here. I just got a new T5i last weekend and I have a problem with the SD card. Will load pictures into my computer library in good order of the photo being taken of. I'll have the photo number 0ne when in fact it was like the 5th picture I took. Photo 2 could actually be like the 10th photo I took... nothing is in good order. Thanks for your help.

  I recently bought a well-known national retailer T5i Rebel Eos.  The day of the expedition, the company called me and asked me if I had the memory card, I would need to "better" using my new T5i?  I've always used 16 or 32 GB SanDisk cards and have been satisfied.  The seller told me that I would need a card that has been "able to givng me the best possible photos with the T5i" and began to suggest that I needed a memory card that cost $149!  I had never heard of a card that cost a lot in truth, much less used one.  He told me that I would not get a lesser quality.

  I moved and you bought a 8 GB card, he suggested that it was $ 69.  I would like to know your opinion on this.  A I 'scammed' and you should report it?  They are a company that has been in business for 55 years they say... I'll check that for sure.

  My question is... do I use this type of card very expensive or is a just as good SanDisk?

  The Sandisk is probably better. I say this not because Sandisk is considered to be one of the two or three best card lines (although it is), but because what experienced you is a well known form of scam. A camera to match vendor (usually based in Brooklyn, NY, if I understand correctly) you sells a reputable product at a decent price, but then you charge up with accessories that you don't need really overpriced. I guess you should consider yourself lucky (or smart), because apparently you managed to resist the tripod to the cheese, all of the filters of shit, "telephoto" is really just a cheap magnifying glass, etc, etc.

  You these guys to report to the authorities the (who have probably heard the story many times before), but you need to undestand that is one of the costs accepted to shady business practices having to hire better lawyers that your brand can afford. If you refuse to never forget the lesson that you've learned from this, it is probably worth $ 69.

• Audio input level set manually on t5i

  First post here. I just started working with my new t5i, which I use to work on my current video tutorial series. In the manual, I see how it is possible to set the maually of audio input for an external microphone level, but I can't understand how to navigate in the menu that allows me to do this. I pored over the user manual a number of times and could not find this information. Can anyone help?

  Same camera in different shooting modes. The menus I described would be for shooting video in 'P, Tv, Av or M '. Anything else will give you a small selection of menu, as you have already seen.

• 5 d old or new rebel? Help please!

  Recently I did some research and question if I have to sell my old 5 d in Exchange for a new rebel (perhaps the t5i?).  I take lots of photos of animal shelter, but also photos of travel/landscape/tourist.  I played with the t5i the other night and it seems much faster and images seem to be very crisp and clear (on the LCD).  I don't know if it's a crazy idea.  I have not been in the freelance game in quite a few years so I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to what is the best camera right now.  I can't afford an another 5 d upgrade to the mark ii, iii, or iv.

  I was hoping you all could give me some opinion.

  I ended up finding many things through Adorama for offered a new t5i with the 18-135 lens, more pro-100 and accessories printer for $750 + no tax/shipping costs.  I really wanted a DSLR that was smaller than my 5 d with a built-in flash for the quick day trips and photos of the shelter.  Thank you all for your thoughts!

  I recently got a new T5i cannon. I was also getting a new hard drive for my Mac, it came with Yosemeti on this issue.  I'm unable to open RAW photos in my PS CS4.  I downloaded the 7.4 update, but it still doesn't work.  Any suggestions?

  Unfortunately, photoshop cs4 allows only upward to camera raw 5.7, so you can use the 8.7 dng converter to convert the best T5i canon dng files that photoshop cs4 should then open.

  Then why you n t contact your dealer or a service of Toshiba and ask the new part/difficulty under conditions of warranty?

  Note: I actually have 2 people because many of my laptops do not have backlit KB. My machine HP has a built-in light that sits next to the webcam.

  • Please specify what adobe patch are you talking about?
  • A you kept a backup pf your LR catalog and images somewhere before moving on to Windows 10.
  • You have access to your original images, or they went too?
  • Try to search the catalog using windows search, .lrcat is the extension of the catalogue, see if you find something.

• I have a brand new installation of 13 PS elements. How I have difficulty drag and drop doesn't work is not on my system Windows 7 Pro 64-bit?

  I just installed PS 13 items on my system Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Mouse clicking works, but how I have difficulty drag and drop works do not? For example, I can't create a selection rectangle or drag the sliders or move the panels of the tool or resize a text box, I tried as an administrator (it does not help).   See other discussions on this topic, which suggests a conflict of startup program that might be the cause, I did some experiments.

  All the functions of the mouse to 13 PS elements worked well if I started my Windows 7 in "safe" mode
  So, back in 'normal' mode, I manually disabled all startup programs. Returned mouse problem.
  Enter the control panel "services", I disabled 'Synergy' (a program that allows me to share my keyboard and mouse between two computers). Fixed a problem.
  The reactivation of all the startup programs while leaving a synergy service is turned off, everything works still fine.
  Start all programs present and re-empowerment synergy, but turned off its 'high privilege check box. Everything is still fine.

  Conclusion: Synergy in high privilege mode service was the only culprit.
  Synergy in non high mode allows my PS 13 items and keyboard/mouse sharing to coexist.

  The strange thing is that only PS elements 13 was affected by synergy. I detect no problems anywhere else. But it doesn't matter; the new arrangement (no high synergy) works fine for everything.
