  Hi, so it confused me for a long time now. I have this problem where my backlight ISN'T want to change to any other color but BLUE and its only the right side of the keyboard. The Start button / stop and the speakers are an exception to this decision apparently. I don't know exactly when it happened, but it has affected my computer for a while now. At this point im thinking a factory reset might do the trick, but I don't want to go through the long fight to take back to his feet. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?   Recently I formatted my computer a HP/Compaq C700 laptop computer * and reinstalled Win. XP on it, but for some reason that I can't find the CD for the drivers. So, I went online and downloaded the drivers for my laptop on the HP support site, but they were of no use. I don't know how it happened, but this site, to the best of my knowledge, have the Audio and display drivers for my machine.

  I've combed through the other places and I came up empty.

  Any suggestions on how to get them?

  PS - I am a sub a deadline and I would be really grateful for a quick response. Thank you.

  The upgrade to Windows XP?

  Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

  Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

• Problem with fan for laptop!

  Hello, I bought a HP 2000-2b43dxbefore 15 days and I am sneaking suspicion there is problem wih fan / air on my laptop.

  When I turned my laptop first and next 2-3 days, my fan was silent until I couldn't hear his work so its normal because when I turn the laptop there is no operation takes this fan needs to cool the components.

  After using my laptop for 3-4 days I have noticed that my cooling fan starting immediately when I turn laptop and fan so it is quieter as the first 2-3 days. So my fan always cools, I can feel and hear, no matter what I do on my laptop. When I closed all my apps, the fan is still cooling for a long time. is this normal if I use the laptop only for internet and we know that the internet doesn't cause components to heat.

  Have the fan lights is usually automatic. Depends on the laptop to the extent that utility controls the cooling fan.  My current product HP Envy17-3002ea a HP CoolSense book loan, but not all laptops have it. Some portable cooling is controlled by an algorithm in the BIOS ROM, which is based on the temperature ramp (delta) in the motherboard and CPU.

  The fan come on your laptop starting up is quite normal. If the temperature is too hot the CPU turns off as self protection.  There are a number of Programs utility we can use if we're slightly paraniod on the temperature of the processor of the laptop, but so general, it is not really much to worry.

  When I bought the Tm2 a few years back, I not create a system for her recovery disk. Now that I have the ProBook 640, and realize how much faster it is... I want to do a restart of the system on the Tm2 and add the extra 4 gigs of RAM.

  Probably an obvious answer to this... I just haven't the experience or the knowledge base.

  Is there a manual hardware for laptop HP 15-ay011nr?  If this is not the case, how the hard drive is replaced?

  This laptop is quite a departure from my experience with servers and previous HP laptops.  I was able to easily find the manual equipment for each different computer server or HP laptop I worked on, not the same with 15-ay011nr.  On any other HP laptop, I was able to find the rear covers to replace the memory and hard drive, not the same for this laptop.  There is no lid at the back of this laptop.
