Omni touchscreen 10 questions

I bought a nice enough pen at Amazon, the other day and started trying to use it with the Omni 10. I was hoping that it would help the problems with the screen doesn't react don't not to touch... especially in the upper corners (closing a window in desktop Win 8 mode).

What I now see (my finger is in the way) is that the keys are saved (I can see the screen mark to the touch), but it does not, or a long delayed, response of the BONE. It would seem that the problem is not with the touch digitizer, but perhaps with the driver/bios.

To confirm the question I asked several people who have 10 s Omni (not easy to find due to HPs beautiful marketing efforts) to try the same thing and everyone saw the same questions.

So HP... what a little caring for your early users?

I just want to give an update: I discussed this for over two months now, with the German support of HP, sending many diagnostic reports and even videos of the screen does not respond. About 5 weeks ago my camera was already picked up. Shortly before it was taken over, I got the info from a support agent that there are known problems with the sensitivity of the touch screen and an updated firmware is for the touchscreen that unfortunately cannot be updated by the user. I would get a new device. A few days after this info that I received another call from the customer service, telling me that they would refund instead replace the unit because they cannot guarantee the issue with a new device. Also on my application if there is a certain serial number range or manufacturing date on the problem is resolved, no one could answer me that.

Well, believe what you want, but I doubt that there is no hotfix or the update or the new revision of material to address the lack of sensitivity (especially in combination with screen protectors). More likely, it's a limitation of the touchscreen technology Atmel XSense that HP has decided to use this device: I have not met a single comment where someone can use a screen protector with no problems on this tablet or found a stylus, capacitive and had it work on the Omni 10. in any case, the device seems pretty much abandoned me: not a lot of marketing / advertising, poor bed early on, no driver or BIOS updates for the month.

I would have given the 10 Omni another chance if this problem is solved. But it's the customer more horrible I've ever known in my life of any major brand in electronics: 5th week now without a Tablet and still waiting for the refund to fill so I can finally buy a new Tablet (not HP of course)!

    Hey friends,

I have to develop an application that will work specifically on Storm, Storm2 and torch (Blackberry touchscreens).

What should JDK I use?  I was thinking about 4.7, but I was wondering if I should just use 5.0 as my API level?

Personally, I'd start with 5.0.  If it is true that storms initially shipped with 4.7, most people have updated their ASAP because 4.7 was much too bad (all the people I know with storms he cursed as he not there tomorrow for both they had 4.7 and immediately updated to 5.0 when it became available).

I don't think there are enough people left with 4.7 to justify the defeat on the extended features.

Is it a good place to ask questions about the slow s Tablet touchscreen response?

You experience slow response on normal s tablet, the first gen one or the Xperia s tablet, a new.

If you experience a slow response, it may be because you use too many apps at the time and slowing down of your tablet. How long it lasts?

    Hey guys,.

Is it possible to add more RAM to my 10 Omni? I haven't shot it apart as I don't know it voids the warranty, but for later use, I'd be able to add one other DIMM?

  • Questions of the propeller: ghosts of the tip of your finger on the touchscreen and Crooked editing basic keyboard connector.

Someone else either of these two questions have with their propeller Thinkpad:

    (1) when I use the touch screen, I can see a trail light ghosting on the screen itself, I tap the screen or slide my finger along the screen.  It looks a bit like touching an LCD monitor and dragging your finger down there.  This isn't something I'm used to seeing on touchscreen devices like the propeller.  So, anyone else notice?

    (2) when I got the camera, the keyboard dock has two connectors which allow the tablet to integrate into the cradle depending which way the Tablet is turned.  The left is for the facing and the identical one on the right is for"view."  Display connector was twisted (as if it was not completely inserted).  When I set up the device in display mode, it seemed perfectly connected to the connector.  I tugged on it lightly and it is not out, but I didn't want to press my luck.  Common problem for someone else?

    Thank you!

  • Touchscreen and keyboard questions? Warranty abroad?

    Hi all

Recently, I went to the United States and received a Motorola Cliq as a gift from a friend. It has worked perfectly well for recent months, until about an hour before. I used Nimbuzz, when all of a sudden the touchsceen stopped working. So, I slid the keyboard to the rear, to find that the touch screen worked very well. So, here's the deal. Touch screen of my phone doesn't work when the keyboard is out, but when the keyboard is in, the touchscreen works perfectly.

I have reset it in every way I could, but it didn't work.

So, I took the logical step of the call for Motorola (Australia). They told me to talk to my service provider, who was told to talk with the provider of services of MOOSE. So I called T-mobile, who told me to call Motorola WE, who told me to call Motorola Australia. Catch 22.

Anyone out there have any ideas? I learned to love this phone as if it was my own sweet child and become very attached to it.

    @ducky12221

The guarantee applies only in the country of origin. This is because not all models are available in all regions. It would be expensive to have pieces in all regions for each model. I apologize if the service you receive is not user-friendly. Certainly, which shouldn't be the case. However, you will need to send the phone to the United States for warranty service that the original person who bought the phone is one that is guaranteed. The guarantee is not transferable.

I see that your software is up-to-date and you mention that you already have a data reset. Have you tried to do the reset and then configure the phone with another email address to ensure that it is not something related to your MOTOBLUR ID. If the touch screen is disabled only when the keyboard is slid, it may be a hardware issue, however, it may be a few odd app causing the problem. Only way to get a real refreshment is data factory reset and then set up with a new e-mail address as ID MOTOBLUR. The 2.1 update is not that far if you can wait to file it after the 2.1 update came out to see if it's maybe a software issue fixed by the upgrade.

  • PROBLEM/QUESTIONS of Lenovo TAB A7 - 30 (A3300-HV) touchscreen

Hi, I recently got a TAB Lenovo A7-30 as a gift. It came in a box delivered with Earbud Headphones JBL and a sleeve of Samsonite. I've updated immediately after loading, and as I used it, I noticed erratic behavior of the touch screen:

    1. registered "touch a ghost" (especially when using the keyboard, i.e. entered letters diff.)
    2. Long press enter (ex using the keyboard, the letter T gets long for 3 seconds and turns into a 5)
    3. There are dead zones (touch won't register). Especially near the edges of the screen
    4. some entries will not register. (Duty press I.e. period key on the keyboard)
    5. the parts of the screen has suddenly fails to register entries.

Is it a hardware problem or a software problem? Can what steps I take to solve it? Please address/solve this problem. Thank you.

  • Question of blackBerry touchscreen Smartphones...

I got my phone so when a new notification skipped upward, I could click on it and respond. I put the calendar, my text, FB and phone calls. Now when they pop up, if I touch them, the menu screen scrolls upward over. How do I fix this?

A battery pull should do. With your phone, remove the battery and then replace it.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Omni 10 problems

Something strange is happening with the Omni 10. More specifications with a rear camera 8 mp, some list with a 5mp camera. Office Depot data sheet shows 5 mp. According to Atmel who installed XSense as the sensor, it was not released until after 4 th December. Office Depot sold it more than a week before that date. I wonder if there was a version without notice with the screen 5mp & twinkle who was arrested almost immediately. I suggest anyone who has problems with flickering screen or camera controls on what size is the rear camera. There may be good reasons for complaint & product exchange. It looks great to me at HP did not get their act together on this tablet.

Everyone knows "flicker" is NOT a fault/question. It's just a setting of graphics in the Panel controls intel HD that has changed. Seems to be some sort of option to save energy!

  • Pavilion 17-e040us: can I switch my laptop no touchscreen touchscreen?

My customer told me it was a touch screen, that's what I ordered.  HP 749970-001 touch screen display Assembly.

It is installed, but not recognized.  To use it as a touch screen, which had to replace the motherboard too?

Is there a driver?  The display works, it does everything just doesn't like a touch screen.

    Sparky

While studying the question of the touch screen, I stumbled on what is called the closure of two buttons.  It is mainly for the Surface, but some have tried with success.  He is pressing the power button and the Volume Up (key F8) key at the same time immobilized for 15 seconds. This does not work with my machine.

The initial point of this project was to get the machine working again.  Replacement of the screen with a touch screen, or disassembly of the old screen and replacing the video cable or LCD could be fixed.

Now I have a working, no touchscreen machine.  I would like to know if replacing the motherboard with one that supports the touch would work.  Are the existing BIOS chip and the motherboard a pair?

What I learned from this project is that if a client tells you that it has a touch screen, do not believe him.  Go to the manufacturer's website, enter the model number and check the specifications of this model, see if there is no tactile or touch.

My client talked about this mousepad, not the screen.

I also learned that you can't do a non touchscreen machine in a touch machine by replacing the entire screen with the correct number without touchscreen part unless there are secrets that no one shares.

On the Forum, if you don't mind, I'd appreciate that you would leave this discussion open a bit longer, just to see if something is posted on the BIOS and motherboard.  The project will be comlete if I succeed in replacing the motherboard.  The project is considered to be a failure if it is not an option.

The next person who tries to make perhaps some tips and information before you begin.

Sorry, I posted this question in the wrong category.

    I have a HP Omni 100-5155 while a desktop pc.  I run a Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

My problem is I want to upgrade the ram in this unit and cannot find instructions how to disassemble in order to

  • Satellite U920T-10J: microphone and touchscreen does not

Since 2 weeks my microfone do not work in Skype.
Also my screen touch doesn't work.

    How pepair?

With regard to the question of the touchscreen:
It happens while the screen is pushed up?

I read on the similar topic in different thread and this problem could be related to lose the connection.

    But first check of workaround:
    1 window + race
    2 .Guy services.msc
    3. go in the human interface device access
    4. right click---> property---> start of type---> automatic (delayed start)

But if it does not, the issue could be due to a hardware malfunction, and these issues must be fixed by the authorized service provider.

With regard to the question of the micro internal:
Please check if the internal mic appears in the control panel - sound - recording device
Also check if any recording device are turned on. Click to the right and make sure that the two options 'show disabled devices' / 'show hidden devices' have been marked.

Also check the audio settings in Skype. The internal microphone should be selected as the default microphone.

  • HP HP - Split x 2 touchscreen Ultrabook 13-g110dx model crashes

I recently bought a HP HP - Split x 2 Ultrabook - model # 13 - g110dx and I'm pretty happy with the ultrabook. The ultrabook came installed with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1 Windows and after that all 8.1 Windows updates were installed and the latest drivers from HP as well. However I noticed that the touchscreen unresponsive after a while and I have to restart the laptop to make it work again.

Another question that I've seen today is the touchpad is not responding and I had to reboot again. Is it possible to diagnoize whats happening and fix the problem?

Personally I consider that a very useful solution. Before blowing away Win 8.1 try this simple fix to the problem that has been driving me crazy for weeks. This seems to have solved the problem: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Lockups-Freezes-Hangs/split-x2-touchpad-problem/m-p/3361845#M48265 hope it works for you.

  • HP Omni 200 PC: Computer configured for HD TV as a second monitor

I am trying to use my HD TV as a second monitor set up my TV.  My goal is to watch movies from my PC to the TV.  The Omni 200 does not have VGA or HDMI connections.  So I tried to use a 3 USB to HDMI adapter with a long (25') HDMI Cable that I connected to one of the HDMI ports on the TV for my video output.  When I tried to detect the TV as a second monitor, I got a blue screen stating my PC was a dump of data and downtime.  Maybe it's that HDMI cards drivers were not really designed to win 10.  actually, the box said it was for Win 7, 8 and Vista, but the provider told me it would work to win 10.  They insured, in fact I got the driver for Win 10 that I installed, but with my PC crashed anyway.

I'm now considering a 3 USB to VGA instead - and using a long VGA cable to connect to my PC - it has a female connector VGA built in my opinion this solution would work.  And I would use a divider audio stereo 3.5 mm cable to connect a left and right RCA audio cable to the TV.

Someone has an opinion on the question of whether I'd be successful before I buy these cables?  Thank you. Dan

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

According to the Specifications of the motherboard , there are 2 - USB 2.0 and 1.0 on your computer 5 - USB ports.  Here is a video card that can allow you to connect to your TV.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer's Technical Support to make sure it works before buy you.  This will save send back if this does not work.  I do it myself before you buy all new components.  Therefore, it is difficult to know what works today.  Technology changes so quickly.
