On-site upgrade

I have been informed that I need to upgrade a "on-site" for my Windows Vista Home Premium Service pack 2 operating system.  When the operating system has been installed in the store (Best Buy), they gave me 3 recovery disks; NOT the Windows Vista installation CD.   How can I upgrade "on the spot" by using these recovery discs?

Normally you can not do a upgrade on-site repair with recovery disks.

You will need to borrow a DVD from Microsoft Vista to do an upgrade on the spot repair, or do a full restore and take it back to factory settings.

See you soon.

  • BIOS upgrade utility Winphlash flashes WITHOUT notice and order

    Hello

After installing Vista, I was about to update my BIOS. So I downloaded the BIOS on the official website (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp) filled in the details of my laptop (Satellite A110-225, PSAB0E) and downloaded the version of the bios for Windows VISTA.

I unzipped the zip file and double click on the setup.exe. The file this last was supposed to create a folder in the windows temp and possible start-up Winphlash. But should stop there. Instead, he went on and also

FLASHED MY BIOS WITHOUT ME HIT THE FLASH BUTTON!

    And that's not all...

Because I had a change to change the source file of the program using the BIOS. ROM file included in the setup of the program. Do not use the file "TW20540a.rom" which was the new rom to be used.

Now my system is dead. My BIOS is damaged.

Please help me solve the BIOS and Toshiba people please remove the utility of the site upgrade!

I was able to repair my BIOS using the BIOS Recovery Mode and a repair disc (http://web.telia.com/~u43311424/crisis-recovery-disk/)

I tried several versions of BIOS
-2.0 for currenlty non-VISTA on Toshiba official website
-5.4 for VISTA also on the Toshiba site
    -1.3

All three require a BIOS password I never set. In version 5.4, my keyboard does not work.

  • Upgrade to 10 from 7 and is 0xC180013 - 0 x 90002

I'm trying to upgrade to windows 10 Windows 7 and I can't. I get the 0xC180013 - 0 x 90002 error code when I try to upgrade. So I thought that I had to completely update Win7... which I couldn't for a while due to 8007370 A. Then I ran Diagnostic Windows update several times and got a few things fixed. Tried to update again... same error code. Went to control panel > troubleshooting > system & security and ran a fixer was updated and the Performance. Nada... A ran AVG, found "EID_pe_iscorrupted" in the files that I downloaded from the Microsoft Site. AVG cleaned it isolated and then I ran the tool Quick Tune (which I do always after I do a virus scan) and then ran an Anti-Malware Cleaner and came clean * dance short lived happy * had the husband to help me and download another .exe from the site Upgrade and ran it... * bang head on desk * 0xC180013 - 0 x 90002 same error code. Help!

    Hi Kaylyn-

I would not go until about 7 years ago and began causing problems AVG which has inflated and not was not recommended by someone in the Forums since then.  With integrated stick Defender MS once you get to 10 Windows.

So let's you get improved now.

Download and install the media creation tool and choose update now.

This should do but if does not refer to overcome failures in Windows 10 upgrade that works for everyone who ends every step.

  • Upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 Home Premium SPI1 32 bit

I bought Windows 7 upgrade from Windows XP. I ran the Windows Upgrade Advisor and says he is good to go. Back up the entire computer, deleted all devices and followed the steps listed on the MS site «upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7» He has never completely installed and when I reboot, I get the BSOD. I have no way of getting back to the screen (even in any Safe Mode) start. Right now the BSOD States: STOP: 0X0000005C (0X0000010B, 0 x 00000003, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

I read all the instructions on this forum community and all State guidelines for work in the start menu. I can't go to the start menu! Then he said to start from the Windows XP disk, I do not have the disk... never did! I paid $150.00 for this patch that is useless. When I'm in the start up screen it then gives me the option to revert to the earlier version of windows. I'm used to be able to do so and continue with Windows XP. Now it won't even let me do that it gives an error code "Unmountable_Boot_Volume".

I know that this is directly related to the upgrade to Windows 7. I've seen hundreds of messages with the same number. What can I do at this point in order to erase the entire hard drive or simply go back to Windows XP.

Any help anyone can offer would be MUCH appreciated. Yet once, I can't start screen. It starts to load Windows XP and stops immediately. And if I need the Windows XP Recovery discs... How can I do?

Computers that are preinstalled with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

You can also try F10 if its an old unit.

I am currently running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate.

I bought a converted copy of Ultimate.

When I try to install it tells me to use the Express site upgrade. Also the fact that I already paid for my copy, Anytime Upgrade isn't available in South Africa anyway.

Does this mean I have to do a clean installs or is it possible that I can get a license Anytime without having to pay again?

As long as you have the product key Windows 7 Ultimate retail full version or upgrade, you should be able to do an Anytime Upgrade professional offline to ultimate.

    Disconnect from the Internet, first.

If the license for Windows 7 Ultimate, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Ultimate.

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Ultimate edition at the request, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate files the stored settings and programs.

  • Is it possible to download an image (.iso) of the operating system from the Microsoft Web site?

As I've already bought the computer with the operating system installed on it and apparently I have not received any CD of the OS with it. But I have the ID of the product on the computer... is there a way where I could get a copy .iso of my operating system on the Microsoft Web site?

    Thank you!

On-site upgrades are not well regarded by some contributors of this forum, including me. However if you want to try, I refer you to this link for an iso download...

  • I am upgrading to windows 7 Home premium to windows 7 Professional and have purchased a Microsoft key. When I followed the instructions at Anytime Upgrade it says it's the wrong key?

    Greetings,

I need to upgrade my ASUS laptop which is running Windows 7 Home Premium, fully licensed and the COA sticker. I went to the Microsoft site upgrade Express and bought a key specifically to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional W7HP.

When he proceeds to upgrade the message says that I have an incorrect key. I tried the automatic upgrade indicated by the purchase of Microsoft site and also by running the Express upgrade and manually enter the key from the email sent to me by Microsoft.

Thank you for that. I did some more research on the forums then rebooted my machine. The installation is completed successfully. I think that Microsoft should focus on this. Very confusing tell them that this is a key issue when all that is needed is the machine to be restarted. Thanks for your help anyway. See you soon

  • upgrade of Oracle 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 Linux database

    Hello

I did some reading and I am gone so oracle documentation, but left me mixed and confused, so I'll ask a simple question hoping for a simple answer :-)
I have the Oracle 11.2.0.1 under Linux 5.7 Oracle database
When I try to install 11.2.0.3 (downloaded the latest version of the Oracle's Web site) I get a upgrade option, which is cool, but then he says I have to create a new home!
is there some way just to improve the database of 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 without having to create a new home? simply the update/upgrade?

hope somehow clarify this for me

On-site upgrade is possible, but not recommended:

  • What iPhone use in Taiwan

Hey guys I just ordered pre an iPhone Verizon 7 more on the apple for me as a site upgrade, but I want to also buy another phone unlocked so that my girlfriend can use in Taiwan (she lives there). I was wondering if I should buy another iPhone Verizon 7 more for it or should I get an unlocked AT & T phone? What model of iPhone 7 will work in Taiwan? She is with the carrier Chunghwa. Thank you!!

I don't know all of the devices are unlocked if you pay in full. You can buy any model (Verizon, Sprint, AT & T or T-Mobile). Take a look at the following list for LTE compatibility:

    Hello

I've looked everywhere in the Toshiba site to find if my laptop is upgradeable or not I looked on this page

but he said nothing on my laptop. Also, I live in the Middle East and it's not funny that none of the countries of the Middle East are on the list when registering on the forum. Nor is the upgrade wizard available in support of the Middle East pages but it is available all over the world

One of my friends tried to install clean Windows 8 on his Toshiba laptop and got the American site upgrade wizard, but when he tried to run the program, he said "Sorry, this program is not intended for your region" and could not install drivers for windows 8 Toshiba page or the links on this page even work

    http://www.toshibamea.com/downloadwindows8drivers.aspx?PageID=3311

I put t know how it works exactly, but I think that Toshiba Middle East has separated portal for support.

I checked this page and when you click on support & > download drivers, you can choose your machine and for Windows 35drivers 8 upgrade were found.
