On the A30 satellite infrared

I ve recently bought a mobilphone with infrared device. CAN´t to "communicate" with my laptop Satellite A30. Now I wonder if my satellite can do infrared communication at all? How can I check this?

Hello

As much as I know A30 has no infrared port, but you can check this in the Device Manager. It has listed all the hardware components. You can also check in Control Panel, if there are binding wireless listed.

  • Battery not charging if the A30 Satellite we

I have the Toshiba Satellite A30 model, and lately, charger acted upward.
At least, I think it is the charger.

The problem is, the charger works fine when the laptop is turned off, the led lights to indicate that he is in charge, and when I turn on the laptop it is fully charged.
But when the laptop is turned on, the charger does not work, so when im using it, the load is reduced slowly and I too keep turn it off to charge it back to the top.

    Its really annoying.
Can anyone suggest what the problem and a possible solution?

    -Thank you.

In my eyes it has nothing to do with the AC adapter, and I think that the adapter is ok.
I think that your electronic books power is not okay maybe not a problem of motherboard or battery problem. Who knows without detail tests it's really hard to tell what's exactly wrong.

I think that the battery needs to be checked, first using a new battery.
If that does not solve the problem, then check the mobo should be necessary.

    Hello.
    Judgment of A30 satellite itself.

Probably overheating problem, in fact, very hot when this happens.

My concern is that the fan runs all the time, about 40% of the time, and he began very early to do.

I never care about that, I just thought it was normal for a laptop.

Do you think it could be something else that forces the system to a situation of overheating?
Is it difficult to change the fan?

Thank you and excuse my English.

    Hi, Giulio.

This is a common situation with the SA30 and is usually caused by dust being sucked by fans and getting caught in the radiator. The solution is to suck the dust on the grids of aspiration air with a vacuum cleaner hose periodically. This ensures that sufficient air can pass from the heat sink to cool your laptop.

  • Smartphone can point of interest the L850 Satellite

Having just a Samsun Galaxy Note3 and cannot point of interest the L850 Satellite.

Our other phone Samsun S4 Mini has no problem with the connection.

Anyone has any ideas as the phone store support came with a white, because he is now a 2nd phone for replacement with the same questions.

    > Our other phone Samsun S4 Mini has no problem with the connection.
It seems that this problem is not related to the laptop as the connection worked properly using another smartphone.
For this purpose I put t think it's the right place to look for the solution.

To be honest, I think you should check the manufacturer of smartphone for the solution or additional troubleshooting support page.

  • 15 "version of the Toshiba Satellite R630

I am migrating from a 13 "MacBook Pro because, frankly, I can't stand his fragile keyboard. As a writer, most of my creative energies are hi-jacked by rage whenever I have do typo. Indeed, which is very common. I've identified on the Toshiba Satellite R630 as one with which I do business the keyboard and I'm a fan of Toshiba computers in general.

However, I have enough desire to a screen 15 '' rather than another 13 "one. Anyone would be able to recommend a very similar to the R630s of Satellite from Toshiba model which comes with a 15 "display? I realize I will probably have to compromise on battery life, but I'm willing to do that. Ideally, it would take 4 GB of RAM, an identical, good keyboard map graphics and excellent display.

My budget is between £650 and £1,000.

    Any help much appreciated.

What do you think about 16?
I mean that the keyboard or similar (and keypad) is used on the Satellite A660.
I have 3 months now and it is great piece of hardware.

  • Re: Can I use the other Satellite U400 series recovery disk

I have Toshiba Satellite U400 121. My recovery disk does not work may be due the scratches that I see in it. I took the laptop to the Toshiba Center service and I got a negative support of them. They said, they can't put the Windows Vista because the recovery disk is not there, and they have put Windows XP inside and handed to me.
later I got to know that Windows Xp is not Geninue one. :|

I can still see one of the Partition 'D:' with folder HDDRecovery inside.

So can I use Recovery Disk of all PC model Toshiba laptop other than the Toshiba Satellite U400 121 recovery disk.

In fact, I tried with the other model recovery disk, that at boot with this disk, Recovery Wizard starts up, but since I'm not sure about this one I stopped there and brought out.

Please one of you let me know if you have valuable contributions on this.

    suggestions are welcome!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I don't know Mr. which series Satellite U400-121, it is, but you must use the recovery disc designed specifically for this series of laptop!

Another recovery disc cannot be used because the drivers and tools that have been implemented in the image of Toshiba are not designed for this series of laptop!

By the way; You can order the CD from recovery from here:

  • Satellite A300 - the word Satellite no longer lights

Hi, I have a little problem with my laptop A300. On the lower left corner of the laptop, it says the word Satellite. It is still used to brighten up this time for some reason any, that it doesn't. I change all the parameters that have made this place. Did the light die on me already after less than 4 weeks? Or maybe there's a way to turn? It's obviously something small, but it irritates me.

    Thank you.

    Good news!

  • A few questions about the feature Satellite A300D - 14 p

I have the model Satellite A300D - 14 p a month. 2-year warranty. I have a few questions and ask for help and suggestions I have to do?

    * My quality of the camera * is VERY poor, with a lot of light on, I can get image quality generally ok. Inside, next to turned on the two options, night mode, or backlight compensation, I can hardly see my face, very dark and very bad quality. Second problem, it is a blue led light, it is annoying because half of the picture is always blue, somehow made light photo half which is always blue:(((j'ai utilisé modèle portable L300 série (moins cher que le mien) with the same device and that blue light, it works perfectly :()

    * Autonomy and start up Vista OS *? In little 1.5 hour energy saving mode? Surf train and nothing else... I asked Toshiba support here in Serbia in this respect and they told me that it is normal and measure the battery life (2,... h) by specifications, this is when my screen is off and computer do nothing? They also said that starting normal time for Vista OS is maybe more around 1.45 min?

If I install win XP is it possible to get longer battery life?

I have to go in service Toshiba or what?

Thank you very much and sorry if I'm boring :)))

    Nikola

    Hay Nikola

You are not boring at all and welcome to this forum.

    I don't know where to start. ;).

I have Satellite A300-1LI in front of me and I use it about a month now. Startup time is very interesting theme and with a good configuration, you can optimize and make much shorter as with factory setting. Please read a very interesting thread about it under http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=134947
Do the same with your Satellite and I hope that you will be satisfied.

Battery operating time? I have to say that information about two hours are realistic and I can confirm that. The same thing on my Satellite. But to be honest for mobile computing, it's OK. I've changed several notebooks and just business laptop Tecra had to linger battery operation. What you can do is check the Toshiba support site and look for info on the more powerful battery. I don't know, but you can use the battery (Li-ion, 9 cell, 6000mAh).

On cam, I can't say much. It works on my Satellite on OK and I am satisfied. OK quality is not the same as for integrated cam but good external webcams it's OK.
If you are not satisfied with trying to speak with the nearest service or try to compare it with some other Satellite by your local dealer.

If Nikola, if you have more questions please post again.

  • Calling servlet using the tag < satellite: form >

    Hi all

There was a useful discussion earlier, on how to use the tag < satellite: form >. Reference:How to add a Submit button for a model without type to freshen up

Now, my query is, How to use the tag < satellite: form > when the target is a Servlet?

    -BSR

    Hi SSB,

Are using your 11.1.1.6.1 version? If Yes, then you need to add the name of your servlet in 'excludeURL' list of comments ReqAuthConfig.xml or 'Authentication filter application' in the Web.XML as this filter request you send. This is a new filter, they added in this version.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite P100-PSPA3A-05S00P - how to use the remote control & infrared

    Satellite P100-PSPA3A-05S00P.

Do not know if I have deleted the drivers or need drivers for remote control and infrared.
I'm not sure how to activate the infrared but I got this cable look like an infrared receiver, but you don't know where it's going.

I used the remote when I bought the laptop from 1st but it was a few years ago...

    Hello

I think that infrared doesn t need to be activated. It s must already be enabled.
But the remote control can be used within Windows Media Center.
I think this will work because my friend of mouse remote control with Windows Media Center as well and it worked well.

  • USB drive not recognized on the A30-151 in XP

After a clean install of Windows XP Pro on a Satellite A30 151, a USB device remains in the category 'Other' (after installation of the graphics and audio drivers, modem) for which no driver seems to be available on the drivers CD. At this point, the category "USB" contains four entries, two standard "Universal Host Controllers" and two "OpenHost' controllers, with the default drivers.
I suspect that the missing device can be a USB 2.0 "PCI controller host improved USB" from another manufacturer, but Toshiba does not offer a driver for XP for it then it should be supported by the OS (?).
Any suggestions as to what can be and what drivers need?

It turns out that XP does support USB 2.0 according to the SP1, it seems a pre - SP1 version of XP Pro leads the native Windows drivers is not available. For anyone in a similar situation, it seems as if a) upgrade to SP1 or b) install the hotfix Q312370)

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Q312370_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe

for the English version should throw a lot of download sites) followed by the autodetection of the native Windows drivers should do the trick. However, the following SP1 problem may come into play

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/FAQ.jsp?service=EU&FID=TRO0000001c0d

in this case, the "NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller B1" driver required original can be found by searching for "USB driver" for "Windows 2000" for the Satellite A30 Toshiba driver download page.

  • My A30 Satellite stops on its own

Since the last 3-4 days my laptop, toshiba satellite A30, just stopped automatically. I noticed that maybe it's overheating is because I can hear the fan moving at high speed.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Vijay,

It seems that if you have a problem with dust blocks the heatsink from the CPU. This causes the symptoms you describe.

You can try to remove the dust through the suction fan grids using a domestic vacuum cleaner or if you prefer, you can remove the plastic cover near the fan grids and then remove the heat sink to clear debris.

You can find several topics in this forum about overheating.
