ON THE FOOTPRINT

I AM TECHNICIAN J.PETCHIRAJA IN AN ENGINEERING SCHOOL. A STUDENT ASKED ME A QUESTION. HE SAID ' I GIVE U A COMPONENT (CAPACITOR), HOW CAN I SELECT FOR THE COMPONENT, I BOUGHT AT THE STORE. THERE ARE MANY PRINTS AVAILABLE FOR A CAPACITOR. HOW I KNOW WHAT PRINT BELONGS TO WHICH CAPACITOR? THIS IS WHAT HE ASKED THAN ME. NOW, I WANT THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. PLEASE ANSWER ME THIS. IN THE MEANTIME, J.PETCHIRAJA.

Thank you.

Hi Petchiraja,

A method for finding a suitable print for a component is to use the browser of the footprints in Ultiboard. Follow these steps:

  1. Ultiboard open
  2. Open an existing template or create a new (don't worry, we don't change the design)
  3. Click Place > database
  4. In the tree view of the database, select Master Ultiboard > Through Hole Technology > Capacitors > Axial
  5. Now in the list of available parts, you will see all the available footprintsin this family
  6. Click Show the Dimensions and change the display in mm units
  7. Using the dimensions indicated in the data sheet and the dimensions given in Multisim, you can now choose an appropriate footprint. Be sure to choose a print that has lead spacing wider than the length of the condenser. You can still print copies of size of your design life of the adequacy of the prints on components of life size
  8. Now copy the name print foot (CAPPAxxx or CAXx) to Multisim.

Hope this help to get you started. You can do to find a footprint you need other components as well.

Alternatively, you can refer to this forum for more details on the same.

Kind regards

    Hello, I have 10.1.197 multisim

I create a part and assign his mark (in this case, it is ASC70-5) located in the UB database. Place the item in the properties schema and the view, and the footprint is still correct. Then transfer the design to the UB and the footprint is not found. Examining the netlist shows the footprint of the device like SC70-5.

It is not except it's the problem, because all our prints begin with a. interesting fact, part ASC70-6 works very well and is not changed in the netlist.

If I change the name of BSC70-5 footprint and revise the part for that this print, everything works OK.

A similar event occurred with the ASOT-323-3 imprint, it lists the device in the netlist as ASOT323-3, he falls the first hyphen.

Other all other parts are listed and import correctly.

  • Recommendations to reduce the footprint of 3.37 Gig in Acrobat XI Pro Windows 8

    Hello

After you have installed Windows 8, 2013 Office, Visio, Project, etc. on my new PC which has a 45G partition for the operating system (it's a Linux dual-boot with a shared data partition machine), I feel a pain.

Acrobat Pro XI takes Gig 3.37 according to add/remove programs, and this seems excessive to me. http://www.Adobe.com/CA/products/acrobatpro/tech-specs.html#XI said it takes only 1.85 Gig.

If I try to uninstall 'Create a PDF' or 'FormsCentral', which seem to be the only options in the 'change install', I get same 200M.

    What gives?

    Hello

I've tested this on my end and found that the basic version is taking 1.85 GB but after you apply the updates up to 11.0.3, we have the size has increased to 3.37 GB.

the minimum system requirements for the basic version and rest refer to the date of issue.

  • Sensor of HDX footprints: how to retrieve the attempt to update driver?

    HP HDX18 - NK148AV

    W7 Ultimate (64-bit)

Through drivers available in S & D section looking for updates that can fix various annoyances.  Picked prints digital driver 1.3.1.183A AND Fingerprint Software 4.0.1.3749_64A.  Install the driver then the ap and I now get a message at Windows logon or when I open the footprint ap sensor is disconnected.

Went to Device Manager where I was told that the unit was working properly and that the version of the driver was 2.0.0.9.  So now I am comfused - I thought that I just installed 1.3.1.183A.  So begins a sequence of movements that I remember more: reinstall the driver, using 'Install a new driver' button in the tab pilot in (both web and my own machine) Device Manager, remove and reinstall,... device driver

Bottom line - I want my sensor rear.  The recovery discs are for Vista equipped system that no longer exists.  BIOS shows no biometrics to enable or disable.  I made a goof something upward and committed the sin of not to create points of restoration at every turn.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Followed the suggestion and he returned my driver level to what it was at the beginning. The sensor has not yet found but I remmebered something I saw on the site of HP who suggested that this level of driver would work only with DIgital Persona. So I uninstalled the HP validity sensor and installed the old D.P. It worked.

Thank you for your help and the steps that led to the solution.

  • iOS10 avoiding using fingerprinting on the Lockscreen

Not wanting to seem too "sheet of Tin-hat", but I have not being updated to iOS10 again and can not - if I am forced to give Apple my fingerprints.

I've never used the footprint unlock the thing on my iPhone before, because I always felt that it was invasive to give Apple my data of fingerprints (as well as all my other personal info!)

It seems that iOS10 is taking this choice by removing the slide to unlock - or am I wrong understand the change of internal screen lock.

Can I still unlock my phone without the help of fingerprints with iOS10 information?

Just press the button home and you'll be fine.

  • Portege R400 - how to get the fingerprint device to HDD unlock

    Portege R400 model PPR40E-00901LEN

I've had this laptop since 2007 new (approximately). I put the BIOS and disk passwords HARD and the biometric to unlock the BIOS, HARD and Vista drive. It worked well until recently. Result of an incident when someone tried to crack into the machine, it unlocks is no longer the HARD drive

The attacker confessed to the use of BACKSPACE to work around the footprint digital, correctly guessed the password of BIOS and going on to make several attempts to enter the HDD password.

Now when I try to access the computer by using the fingerprint reader, it unlocks the BIOS ok, so he remembers clearly to me. However, it is not open HARD drive. Apparenlty the fact that 3 + failures to enter the master password disk HARD text forces text of this password and no biometric entry. At least, there seems to be something like that.

    My questions are

    (1) in these circumstances, the BIOS anterio-rite the biometric to forget the HARD drive password?

    (2) or is still piometric my disk HARD but the BIOS password feature is not asking him?

    (3) if 3 or something similar, so this password is always in the biometirc device, how to tell the device to provide this password?

Please note that I can't in the BIOS right now, because do not unlock the HARD drive prevents the POSITION to perform.

Of course, I know what I really need to do is type the HARD drive password. Unfortunately in about four years, I forgot it. I hope that I can get into the BIOS if I remove the HARD drive physically, but wonder if there is something else I should do first in order to avoid making things worse.

    Thanks to hope

    Hello

All I know is that the fingerprint for Win 7 software is created by UPEK company.

  • Two months using the Libretto U100

    Very good product:
I use the U100 for two months as a mat - almost - nothing, clone of my main computer (Tecra S1) and I am very happy with it. The fingerprint reader is surprisingly useful and I even got used to the small keyboard.

Initially, however, I found a lot of text on the screen too small to read and given that the solution was not obvious (at least to me :-]) I write my solution here, as well as some other conclusions. I hope that others will find it useful, and perhaps others after their experiences too.

    View Tweak:
Right-click on the desktop, choose Properties and click on the settings tab. Click the Advanced button, and then select the monitor tab. Ignore the warning under the box "Hide modes this monitor cannot display" and uncheck the box. Click OK, and then change the screen resolution slider (in display properties) to the value previously not 1280 x 1024. This gives a virtual screen more larger than the physical screen, but when you mouse up or down, with a height of the screen upward or down to suit.

Now click again on the button Advanced, open the general tab and change the DPI setting to 96 to a value of "Custom" of 144 (150% of normal size) and click OK. This makes most of the 50% text larger. (If you do this, without changing the screen resolution you will see that some Windows OK, cancel and apply buttons become inaccessible over the bottom of the screen). Most of the screens work fine, even if the text can get a little cramped in some (e.g., Toshiba Power Saver).

    Tweak mouse:
To make the pointer of the mouse more usable, open Start/Settings/Control Panel/mouse, select the pointer Options tab and set the pointer to the maximum speed and check the "enhance pointer precision.

    Zoom:
Function of Zoom from Toshiba works very well for the icons of the desktop and software applications. But in Internet Explorer, I think it's too tedious to use, because must readjust the zoom whenever you change the page. I found that the best solution was to use Opera as default browser instead of IE. He has a great zoom feature built-in and you can even zoom using the mouse wheel.

    Synchronization of files and Emails:
After many trials, I found a really great software called Easy2Sync (http://www.itsth.de/en/produkte/easy2sync.php?M) that easily and surely synchronizes my Docs and MS Outlook between U100 and my main computer. Now, I use a machine interchangeably and simply sync them then on the local Wifi network.

    Save:
If Toshiba did the hard drive accessible to the user as on Tecras, I'd use Casper XP to clone the same disc in a USB2 support. Instead, I use Acronis True Image to keep an image of the drive to an external drive. I did restorations of the trial and it works fine.

    Desk Top Search:
I use Copernic Desktop Search on both machines. The latest version (1.6) is more appropriate than before because you can set it to index on power supply only.

    MS Office ToolBar:
Even with the "big buttons" selected, I find it too small to be usable. Instead, I did a local equivalent bar to help "new toolbar integrated" XP option. I then clicked on the toolbar, select display and checked "Large icons").

    Two gripes:
Nothing is perfect, so in the Toshiba case are listening:

    1. the fingerprint reader works after sleep, but not after the hibernation. You must first click on the thumbprint icon to remove the footprint display square, and then again to restore. After that, it works normally.

    2. I want a warning "caps lock" light because it's too easy to hit the 'caps lock' button instead of 'a '.

    Hello David

A few days ago, I saw this toy and it is very well designed. I really don't like to use small notebooks like booklet. Portege R200 is for me very nice and it is for me the best solution for an ultraportable.

As I already said the booklet is very well designed. Just a feature is not positive for me. The cover of the screen has a very wide edge and, in my opinion, the biggest Billboard could be much better.

I wish you lots of fun with your new toy.

    Best regards

  • Re: Portege Z30: Fingerprint software does not, the connection with the sensor fails

    Hello to you all,.

I have a great fun for you guys. If you're curious, it's here...

I just bougt garage a portege Toshiba Portege Z30t-A-126 PT24CE-01400HFR
Nice machine but SSD is too small, so I changed the original SSD 256 to a 512.

Reinstalled Win7 completely without any pb.

Just a pb in fact: the footprint software does not work.
When I hliant, it fails and says "unable to connect with the sensor.

    In french "fingerprint recognition."
    Unable connect the sensor.

But when I check the Device Manager computor it says that everything is in place and ongoing execution, validity (WBF) (PID = 0010) sensors works very well and the latest version of the driver is installed.
(I downloaded the form driver toshiba Web site.) The name of the driver is fp - sw - 20140115084521.zip)

    Then? What's not?

I spent hours searching the web and tried everything I could. Reinstalled a thousand times the drivers, software, tried other drivers... But there is no way that I can fix it.
    It's really annoying...

Can someone help me please? Have you an idea? I'm stuck...

    Thanks in advance. :-)

    Hello

This issue of the fingerprint has been described in another thread.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=81261

You should be able to solve the problem installing the chipset driver.
Another user said, an installation of Proset Ethernet drivers/software was necessary to get the problem resolved. But to be honest that I put t think that missing Proset utility would cause the question

    However, check it out.

    Your comments would be appreciated

  • Satellite P300-PSPCCA - malfunction of the fingerprint scanner

I had my p300 for a little over 8 months know and use the reader of fingerprints as well as the software to connect and protect a VERY large amount of personal data and work related documents.

And yesterday when I tried to access some schemes of work I opened the folder and right click on the file clicked on unprotection leader skipped the small box with the fingerprint to the said analysis of fingerprints digital I did and he said too short scan.
I scanned again and again and again same result every time.

What I do im thinking of sending it to the service to have the reader/scanner replaced.
I tried to reinstall the software and I restored the entire score of the point has upward, two weeks ago, but with no result.
    He said still too short.

Is their anything I can do on my end, so I lose my phone again for 6 weeks (Yes, it took them that long to repair my laptop and that I still had to ultimately collect the repair center)

    Hey Buddy

I found this FAQ from Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9802O50000R01.htm

This doesn t will provide a solution to your problem, but it provides information about the files that are protected by fingerprints.
The fact is that if you would like to try to reinstall the OS and move the files to another location then the files are not accessible more and you will not be able to take out them more :(

I have no idea why your fingerprint reader does not read your fingerprint. Maybe there is something wrong with the sensor or something like that
I think that it s not a software issue since you can receive and message from fingerprints, saying the analysis was too short so I m thinking that it s associated with a sensor or a scanner.

Hmm, it would be interesting to know if the footprint would be functions after the system recovery, but that means that the whole HARD disk should be formatted and you would lose the files

    Hi all!

I use HP protect tools and Password Manager and password authentication Windows and fingerprint authentication. I have problems with fingerprint authentication.

When I try to enter the password automatically with the activation of the footprint of the password is not entered. The password is entered if I click on the Password Manager icon select fill in the data of logon and authentication with my Windows password. It never came with my fingerprint authentication (even if I get a green check mark on the icon so nect I drag my fingerprints).

I am administrator on my PC and have registered three fingers, I am trying to use for authentication. I'm really confused why Windows authentication, it works well, but the fingerprints does not have the password. I find no more errors that suggest the registration of fingerprints does not work.

  • Generic footprint resistance disappeared.

    Hi all

    I use Multisim 10.

When I place a resistance, the generic print disappeared from the options in the print (1). When I place a resistance to virtual with no footprint and select a print manually via a right click > properties > change the footprint (2), I can choose the footprint (3) 'Generic - RES0.25' I was originally after. I've attached a picture to illustrate the options I have. Anyone know how to recover these generic prints in the options of the original print (1)?

    Thank you very much

    Dan

In version 10 or later, RLC components are treated a little differently from the regular components. To add a mark to the list in the browser to Select a component , you must add a new definition to a resistance.

    1. Click on Tools > database > database manager
    2. Select the Components of RLC
    3. Click on the Add button
    4. Define the following information
      1. Family name: RESISTANCE
      2. Value: 1 k (can be any value here)
      3. Footprint manufacturer/Type: generic/RES0.25 (or the mark you want to add)
    5. Click OK, close
