On this forum, what will happen after the beta period?

I was wondering what will happen on this forum after the beta period. I think that there are a number of options:
-the forum will be deleted or at least is more accessible for participants of the beta
-the forum will stay for a longer period of time, perhaps unalterable, but remains limited to the participants of the beta product and management
-the forum is open to the public, read-only or read / write

What happens on the forum may be long term help people decide what and how they post here.

Thank you

Hi, Wilfred,

Excellent question. If we continue to make great questions in the forum like this, we can (and probably) turn this into a public forum with all the threads of discussion held. We will probably remove the beta announcements and also remove/modify entries that are specific to beta, but keep the rest for future participants to take advantage.

This is all the more reason to keep this forum for discussions, questions, exchange of ideas and comments.

Thank you

Joe Huang

I use Windows XP and care April 2014 if I always use the it, what will happen after that Microsoft no longer supports it?  My computer will become unusable?  It works great and I would keep it if I can.  I use a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop.  Some people have told me that "nothing will happen" and others tell me that my computer will be more vulnerable.  I use ESET NOD 32 and Malwarebytes.  They tell me that they should still continue to work.  I am told that because my computer was purchased in September 2008, he cannot me upgraded to Windows 7.  I'm not a geek and would need assistance "passage" my files from one computer to the other as well.  And then what to do with my old top office.  I'm very worried and I had to face the fact that Microsoft is not going to deliver any security updates patches after April of 2014.

I can't wait to hear from someone on this problem and more just to go out and invest in Windows 8!  Thank you.

I can tell you one thing, all or almost of windows xp device drivers will disappear from the computer manufacturers support websites and will reappear on all these shady sites who claim to be download for free but comes with unwanted software. Download the latest device drivers and keep several copies of them and download them to your skydrive or dropbox account fo guard.

I doubt that will happen. I've seen Windows 2000 drivers still on websites mfg.

  • What will happen to the SQL Query based object View (EmployeesVO)

    Schema used: HR

    1. I created a view through SQL Query view object object (Table Employees - EmployeesVO).
    2. Creates an entity of the Employees (EmployeesEO) table object.
    3. In the section EmployeesVO (View object) entity objects, I chose EmployeesEO (entity object).

What will happen to the View SQL Query object based on (EmployeesVO) will it change to VO based on entities or still to be based query VO.

It is there because you can still base your query based Vo EO according to Vo.

After that you base your VO on EO you can now use 'Add the attribute of the entity' to base your attribute on the atrributes of EO. Or if you skilled enough you can manually change the XML to VO

  • I support a very large school district running Firefox 3.6. What will happen at the end of life date? In the online environment, we test this week.

I run the test center for a very large school district with over 120 students of k. We have a current deployed at base of 54 client machines of k using Firefox 3.6. We have not upgraded for many reasons, of which the most important is to remove the possibility of use in navigation private students and dealing with plugin-updates for the digital non-born (read dumber than a bag of hammers users) that make up the majority of the customer base.

We test ESR now, but only discovered this end of life for 3.6 is tomorrow, 4/24. We are currently in the middle of the scale of the State of online tests. The question is, what will happen tomorrow, when the browser will end of life. ESR wiki mentions that "an update to the current version of Firefox Desktop will be available through the Update Service Application"

So the main question is, are my students/teachers goes to get a popup telling them that they have updated the browser if we have already turned off updates? If so, can I I disable remote using SCCM, because there will be all sorts of havoc.

Please advise as soon as possible and thank you in advance.

An addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-private-browsing-pl/ can help, or http://kb.mozillazine.org/User:Dickvl / Private_Browsing_disable (don't forget, this is beyond what this forum can help you with if you need help making these changes).

  • What will happen to the existing recovery partition

I have an Inspiron desktop with a pre-installed recovery disc/partition. I am currently running Windows 7.

What will happen to that partition and its content, should I decide to use the free update of Microsoft for host1 0? Should what steps I take, please?

Recovery of F8 will become broken in THE WORK NEVER NEVER.

So to clone your old drive to a new drive.  Then do the update 10 on it.

If you go back you clone the old backup to the new once more.

  • What will happen after that?

I have a procedure began yesterday to update a table. But I did this morning. Just after I killed the session, I started another SQL to perform the same task to update the same table and the same columns but faster.

What happens now is: the Oracle performs a roll on the procedure killed while the new SQL is running.
    So here are my questions:
    1. what happens later when SQL is complete and the rear roller is not done yet?
    2. the back roller will not affect the new SQL updates?

    Thank you

Dive into the concepts manual. A new concept of Oracle [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28318/consist.htm#CNCPT020] concurrency and consistency, it's every (something) Gets a view of the database at the beginning of the (something). (something) is usually a transaction or statement, depending on the configuration and programming. Oracle uses system change numbers to see if each view must include a particular version of data from block, a little like a clock.

So, basically, it all works, but you can see the performance impact just because the stuff happening, and you can see some strange effects, if you don't understand what you do. It is different from the other database engines.

  • I want to copy all my jpg files to another directory (a portable hard drive) with some of the same names of JPGs, but not necessarily all. What will happen? The word 'COPY', will be some of the deleted files be added or nothing at all.

I have a LOT of pictures in my computer (over a thousand) and I want to put them on a portable hard drive, I bought (1 terabyte) but I won't write any of the names of existing files with different images. IS THIS POSSIBLE? Do I need software or special hardware? I tried the copy/paste standard as well as move files to the new directory, but it seems that I can lose files. I'm not sure if the files that are missing (or lack, in my opinion) are not copied. When I finished emptying the directory, it shows that it is empty but the new directory does not seem to have any additional files that should be there based on the counting of the files before and after.

Thanks for any help you can provide, Bill

1: right-click and then drag the pix on the external drive. Release the right mouse button and choose copy here. They are there?  Now remove it from the computer.

2: you can see pix of the same name overwrite each other, or be done with (1), (2), etc.. But even in this case, they will be interspersed with the former. If keep you them in separate folders with different names, that should not happen. Personally, I rename all the pix before storing them. You can select the set instead of the code of the camera and a group, rename the first holiday 2009 yo and the rest will be renamed holiday 2009 and each havf will one (1), (2), (3), after them.

It is also a nice freeware tool which, among other things, can rename a group of photos easily.

  • What will happen at the end of the argument of type test and how long it changed?

What happens at the end of the trial? It will cease all work or will I get a box full of spam asking me to pay for it?

The trial lasts for 30 days and then will simply stop working. There is no spam, but it will produce a dialog box asking you to buy if you try to use it after the expiration of the track.

  • What will happen to the Welcome screen in Adobe Muse?

    Screenshot 2014-11-18 01.39.40.png

    Hello

This happens usually when Muse do not receive permission to connect to the Adobe servers.

Please make sure that the proxy settings, antivirus or firewall does not block it. You can try to disable them, and then check if it connects.

You can also try to create a new profile for the Admin user to check if its giving the same number there or not.

  • What will happen if immediate restore session / cancel stop of the database?

I have a long session restoration after I killed him. Session state is 'DEAD' and when I check the transaction of $ v, it will take nearly 24 hours to a complete restoration. We can not wait if a long time because we have another job dependencies need restoration must be completed as soon as possible. In the end, we plan to stop immediately. This will help? What will happen to the restore session if we issue immediate shutdown or shutdown abort? Is the restoration completed successfully?

If you SHUTDOWN ABORT when there are very many active transactions or be restored, then the default FAST_START_PARALLEL_ROLLBACK that occurs at the start of subsequent proceedings in fact means that the restore is performed more quickly.
However, if it is a large single transaction as a DELETION on a table with an Index, it is best to disable FAST_START_PARALLEL_ROLLBACK before restarting the Instance immediately after a SHUTDOWN ABORT. Parallel cancellation of a single important transaction with an Index can be slower!

FAST_START_PARALLEL_ROLLBACK is a parameter instance that LOW as default (IE a value of 2 x CPU_COUNT) and can be set to HIGH or FALSE.

Note: If you SHUTDOWN ABORT and START the database, Oracle has to do a Rollforward of Redo Logs (for data blocks that have not been updated) before that, an OPEN. It is generally a very fast operation. Uncomitted transaction cancellation is an operation delayed - this means that the restore is initiated by SMON or parallel slaves after the database is OPEN. If a block containing a row that has been updated and not committed is referenced by a database session after OPENING, but before it has been restored, made Oracle a rollback accelerated this line of the block and then continues to the restoration of other lines in the background.

Thus, if the transaction had been on the Table 'A' and the database is SHUTDOWN ABORT and commissioning, users can still access and update of all other tables other than table 'A', while the transaction is put in place, in the background, after the OPENING.
