  The previous owner did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and I realized then that I have to install all drivers off of the Lenovo site. After download by http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT072735 I have all this put work except the wifi.

  So far, I have tried updating the bios to the latest version. Check wireless is enabled in the bios. Audit of the Fn + F5 said that wireless console is enabled. Control of the wireless switch is turned on.

  IAM at my end and need all your help please.

  I forgot to mention that the Centrino wifi device is not actually planned in the Device Manager section. But the former owner showed me the working wifi before he wiped it off.

  I have a Mac Mini from 2012 which I just upgraded to Sierra. Everything went well except the webcam, a Logitech C310, is not recognized by the operating system. He keeps his identification as "unknown device". It doesn't seem to work properly, but I fear that it is not properly recognized by the operating system.

• Question about webcams with Macbook Pro 13-inch, mid 2010

  Bear with me as I am the most fundamental basic Mac users. I am currently using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010) with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 I don't use Skype or FaceTime or something like that. Recently, I joined an online course in which they said I need a webcam, headset and microphone so that I can communicate with my instructor and discussions in class.

  I have really no idea what hardware inside is on my laptop. Is the built in camera something that could be used for this purpose? Or do I need to buy these separately three elements to make this work? And if yes, are you easy to install and can anyone recommend something good, but also low-cost as possible.

  Your built in FaceTime, camera is sufficient. This is the idea. outdoor cameras are mostly a thing of the past. If the internal webcam is broken, an external is always an option repair vs.

  You may need their proprietary software to connect to their course however

• iMovie does not recognize Logitech HD Webcam C310

  I'm running OS X 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro for 6 months. I would use my Logitech HD Webcam C310 (USB) to import images from a film 8 mm 60 years projector to iMovie, but iMovie does not recognize the camera. FaceTime, however, DOES not recognize the camera, and it appears also in system information. But no matter what I do (restart iMovie, disconnect and reconnect the camera, restart the machine), iMovie displays only the camera, which he calls the "FaceTime HD camera." Appreciate any help to get this camera to work. Thank you

  I have a Logitech C920 webcam, and it is not recognized by iMovie.  It is recognized by Quicktime Player and Photo Booth applications and with one of these, you can save a movie that you can then import into iMovie.

  I think that the HDMI on your Air port was released only to screen external which is why you need the converter.

  I run a guitar teaching site and try to simplify my workflow to produce my instructional videos.  I am currently using a webcam Logitech C920 and I like the quality of the image, but I can only capture using Quicktime 7 Pro, and file sizes when I record using the native device parameter are HUGE (8 GB for a 1 minute clip).

  I'm hoping to get a new HD capable quality of live capture webcam in FCPX to skip the step of the importer, and I hope a webcam that has better support Apple will produce smaller files.

  I read somewhere that I'll need a Firewire connection to use the animals to FCPX capture functionality.  Can someone confirm if all the work of Firewire cameras, or recommend one they had first-hand experience with?

  Search the forum for direct recording, it has drawbacks and limits with FCPX. It was not a Firewire port on a Mac for a long time.

  I ask because I'm a photographer and video editor, why do you need 1080? There is no reason to grab more of the resolution that you upload to or which are necessary to illustrate your work. If you compress a distribution online, you're shooting ground more that you need.  But we all have our reasons. I shoot only 1080 when scenics scalability and industrial subjects. While we have 4 k capabilities, we have not found a reason to shoot on it except to play around (or for specific projects that streamline tons of storage). All of our teaching and conference material is at ye olde standard def because that's all he needs.

  Thank you all. It took about 5 tries to install and uninstall adobe flashplayer before I find that real player is mess up and I had to pass some things on RealPlayer. I have the cams on Firefox, but cannot get them on IE. Don't want to spoil a good thing on Firefox. I think that I accepted an update on Adobe. I'll be scared to do now! Thanks again. Very useful for pointing me in the right direction. It is quite frustrating.
