  I'm trying to publish a movie on this computor in Windows Movie Maker. The files are .wmv with a band his .wav and are all stored on my computor. I performed this task with success several times and there is enough free space on the computor.

  When I click on publish, there are a few seconds where he tries to publish, but then the program goes into a gel and the dialog box appears with the following: "another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computor.   Thank you Volenteer J. How would you like to know if a .wmv file is corrupt? Is there something I can do to click the .wmv files that tell me if they are corrupt? I need to identify the files that are causing my problem.

  They were converted from another format? If_Yes_ maybe another
  Converter would be worth a try.

  You change them widely? (split, rotation, transitions...)

  There is a possibility that you could import the Windows Media .wmv files
  Encoder and convert them to... .WMV to .wmv. Seems pointless, I know...
  but it would create a new .version of the. WMV files and can fix that
  perhaps never the problem.

  (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

  You say that you have changed the music pieces... and now you want to
  to combine the music.

  Does this mean you want to record music as another
  audio file in addition to the file video .wmv?

  The best would be to extract the audio file of the publication
  (recorded). WMV video file.

  To accomplish this... just reimport the published (recorded). WMV
  file in Movie Maker and then drag it to the audio / music... then
  Publish (save the file) and it will become a. WMA audio file.

  If my understanding of this issue is incorrect, please provide
  more details.

  Since you used the 3 part video conversion software, we have no way of knowing what has occurred with the video. The only thing we can suggest is to follow the instructions in the following articles using the original video recorded and imported into Movie Maker:

  1 have you downloaded the songs from any online store?

  2. is the song that is protected by digital rights management?

  Check the file format and see if this file format is supported by the Director.

  However, you can drag the song at the beginning of the time online click fade at the end of the song.

  I use Vista os and I have 4G of memory, double two Core with e7300. I use Windows Movie Maker version 6.0.6002.18273. When I publish (join) several files together speed seem to be very slow, especially when compared to Movie Joiner or Ultra Video Joiner.  For example, a file size of 600 MB WMM takes approximately 60 minutes to complete whereabout other programs only takes a minute. That's a lot of difference here. I wonder if there is something I missed here. Maybe some plugins? Or is there some setting I forgot? The computer is defragged and works very well.

  By default, the duration of the photo is 5 seconds.
  Open Windows Movie maker > tools > Options > default duration. Make you changes.

  Also, if you want to increase the duration of any slide, just put the cursor on theright edge of the blade until the cursor turns into a 2 pointer > left click and HOLD > drag the slider to the right where you want.

  complex big project that you have been working on for a while it
  can be to reach the limits of your system resources.

  Creation of several small projects is better than a large
  project. If you save all of them in the movie .wmv format you
  can import movie collected files and combine them into
  one final film.

  Also... it may be interesting to try to install IE8... I remember

  Simple solution... Publish (save) your project in the
  film format .wmv to a folder on your hard drive.

  Re-import the file .wmv (as a new project) and now
  audio / music will be clear and you can add
  the narration.
