OneNote 2013

When I try to open OneNote from Outlook icon, I get the following error:

Before you can use this feature, OneNote must start for the first time. You can come back here and try again after you start OneNote.

Someone knows the solution to the my problem?

  • OneNote - 2013 will not synchronize, 2010 works great - W7, WP8.1, OneDrive

    Hello

I use OneNote on my W7 PC and on my Windows Phone, which sits on the 8.1.

Especially my note-taking is on the phone, and I look at the notes on PC.

I have Office 2010 installed and everything works fine ther, but quite recently I added OneNote 2013 to the mix. (I think) worked initially, but now will not display the update of laptops. On the screen, it displays an error in account, as in the attachment:

If I close 2013 and open 2010, which synchronizes very well.

Can anyone advise how to resolve this issue? Thank you.

This seems to be more a problem of office than a windows problem.  Please repost this in the section (where the experts are).

You can use the "categories" menu drop down from the top of the page.

  • Error 0 x 80000003 - software does not work on the machine Win 7

I'm running a fully corrected and updated installation of Windows 7 Ultimate with Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat XI and various other software up-to-date.  My machine has downloaded Windows 10 but I have not yet installed.

Everything was working fine last night BUT this morning:

-Outlook 2010, Word 2010 and Powerpoint 2010 will not start. IE 11 starts and then immediately fails.

-Adobe Acrobat Pro XI does not start

-Adobe Reader XI does not start

In each case, I get the message: "the application could not start properly (0 x 80000003). Click OK to close the application. »

However, the following programs open and run:

-Excel 2010, OneNote 2013, OneNote 2010 - if SOME Microsoft works software

-Chrome, 2013 Quicken, Quickbooks, Dragon Naturally Speaking-all of this work.

    * - I was able to make a PDF using Adobe Acrobat Distiller, but then, I was unable to view the PDF file, because the appearance of the Adobe viewer is broken.

What do you think the problem is, and how can I fix this please?  This problem affects more than one type of software so it seems to be a Windows problem, is not a problem of Office 2010.

    Thank you for your attention!

I had the same problem... word, outlook, adobe, PowerPoint opens... just got the error 0 x 80000003...  I uninstalled emet and boom... everything opens... now I need to know if I need to install a newer emet...

  • Charm of devices: "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" has no effect on my RT Surface

I got my Surface RT months and never got the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" contained unit under the spell of devices to work.

If I start a metro like IE or Reader or another application and print to a file .oxps, so I bring up features charm and press "Microsoft XPS Document Writer", nothing happens (other than "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" button visually depressing and not depressing).  I expect the XPS Document Writer UI to climb, but nothing ever happens.

I can print to the XPS Document Writer desktop applications (for example Word, Notepad, office, IE, etc) on my RT Surface very well.

I've never used three devices in the charm of devices: "send to OneNote 2013", "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" and "Xbox 360".  The first two work, but the third has never.

Anyone know how to solve my problem?

  • Change in 2013 Excel formatting Options are not visible when using high Windows - why contrast themes?

I am currently using the theme of white high contrast Win 7.  However, in Excel 2013, many formatting options do NOT work, when using this theme:

    1. Fill color
    2. Font color
    3. Conditional formatting
    4. Colors tab

To reproduce this problem, using Excel 2013 with a Windows high-contrast theme, whatever we have to do is:

    1. Select a cell and try to change the fill color.  It does not work.
    2. Type the text in the cell, and then try to change the color of the font.  It does not work.
    3. To implement conditional formatting for this cell.  It does not work.
    4. Try changing the color of the tab the active tab at the bottom of the worksheet.  It does not work.

It would seem that, if the high contrast themes have been made to ease of use for those who have poor vision, whereas they should be able to change the options in shape in Excel to make things more visible within their own documents.

I understand very well that changes in the end formatting options will appear if the user switches to another theme of Windows, but who certainly defeated the purpose of using a theme of contrast in the first place.  Why should they play this user switch to a different theme of Windows just to see the changes he made, using the Windows high contrast theme?  Why the user does NOT agree to see the changes that he or she has filed in formatting options in Excel 2013, when you use a high-contrast theme?

The user with special vision must assets concerns of colors.  Excel will meet your needs for a higher contrast (black and white pure) at all costs in order to ensure the highest possible contrast.

Microsoft do not escalate this, it works as expected.

I don't think you are right to say that this is normal.  When you use OneNote in high contrast black it allows indeed to the colors of different fonts, it is just an oversight or a bug of Microsoft on not supporting the themes of their office software.

    Original title: Office OneNote

Help.  I've just updated for Office 2013 and got this message when you try to access the OneNote.  What do this mean and what do I do about it?

    Hello Annie,.

    2. look in the list available to see if OneNote is there. If it isn't, click on the arrow to other programs on the right and again look in the list. If you still can't find OneNote, click the browse option to browse you programs.

    3. look in the left pane and click the folder C: Local drive.

    4. now scroll down and find the Program Files (x 86) folder and double-click it.

5 another list will now populate.

    6. search for Microsoft office and click two times on that.

    7. now look towards the bottom of the list which provides and click Office 15.

    8. here is another list. Check out this list until you get to OneNote.exe.

    10. click on this and then your file must be associated with the OneNote program.

    11. now, try and open the file to see if it will open in OneNote.

Sorry the instructions are a little long-winded.

  • How to transfer the Outlook Notes 2013 Onedrive

I use Outlook 2013 on my PC. I want to be able to transfer all my sticky notes (429 of them) to my OneDrive so I have access to my phone. I import into OneNote, but I am not able to open on my windows phone. I get the following message "you need to install an application for this task. You want to find one in the store? «When I click on 'Yes' I get the following message "sorry, not found applications.»

There must be a way to read them. They are two Microsoft programs. Why aren't they talking to each other?

Notes Outlook are not be supported on phones.  They are in fact not even notes, they're just .msg message (same format as e-mail files) files and Outlook is the eccentric who treats them different.

You can export Outlook notes in a format that become a true native format from OneNote.  It is not a one-click operation, but it's pretty simple.  This page explains how to:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/johnguin/archive/2011/01/06/an-Outlook-routine-to-export-sticky-notes-and-then-import-them-to-OneNote.aspx

After obtaining their in OneNote, they will remain synchronized between all your devices/computers/phones.

  • Windows 8 cannot print from Word 2013

When I try to print Word 2013 (Windows 8) that it exports just the document to OneNote and it does not print.

When I try to print the document from OneNote, it creates just a new page in OneNote.
Does it actually matter where I try to print from.  Each time, it exports only the text to OneNote and nothing prints.

When you install OneNote (as part of office or as a standalone) it sets itself as the default printer.

Go to devices and printers and set your real default printer.
  • Acrobat Reader DC does not print in OneNote

When I try to print to OneNote from Acrobat Reader DC my computer hangs and requires a hard stop.  I can print to a printer without any problems.

    Acrobat Reader DC version 2015.007.20033

    Windows 8.1

    Microsoft Office 2015

I did not have this problem with earlier versions of Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat Reader DC is the only version of Acrobat Reader currently available for download on adobe.com.  If there is no quick fix, is there a way to access an earlier version?

Back to Acrobat Reader XI and made a complete repair (restoring) the Office of 2013.  I do not know what change has helped, but things are working now.

  • 2013: MacBook Pro replacement motherboard or not

    Brain Trust,

    I need some advice here.

I have a 2013 fully bridged on (500 GB SSD, 16 GB of RAM) MacBook Pro and the sound from the speakers awefully distorted.

I did all the regular troubleshooting inclusing a clean installation of the operating system, applications 3rd party and the problem persists.

The distortion is NOT dependent on volume, it is still there, as if the sound is cut at all levels.

Now, the headset on the port is perfectly clean, so I think I have it narrowed down to the (material) built-in drivers for speakers. I went to the Genius bar and they agreed and recommend a motherboard replacement. Since I have a month left my Applecare, I could do it, but I hesitate. Professionally, I rely heavily on my machine on a daily basis, and I fear that a machine otherwise perfect with zero problems (other than the problem of speaker) will be messed up.

What is your experience with a motherboard swap and what do you recommend I do? Live with the distortion and contemplate a great Macbook, or opt for repair until the warranty runs out. NB, I have a very old Macbook that I can use for the week or I'll have to miss my machine.

    I'll answer my own question:

Do it! I had a fantastic experience! Not only was my main problem, distortion in speakers, correctly diagnosed and resolved, since engineering also saw a small white spot on my screen (who had been there forever), I also had a nine screen. Not only that, I got a new valve and bottom plate, so after 3 years of intensive use, my Macbook Pro looks like new again. Total costs under Apple care program: $0.

It's really the only problem with Aplle MacBooks: my excuse to buy a new went through the window, this machine will last me a few years ago!
