  I went to turn on FileVault encryption for the first time, and when I click on restart (by FileVault guests) I got a error message that says "FileVault can not be enabled for the drive. Some disc formats do not support the required encryption recovery partition. To use encryption, reinstall this version of Mac OS x on a reformatted drive. »

  I found an article from apple support for this problem with El Capitan who recommended first aid running in disk utility.  I tried this but then received the same error message.

  a little history:

  -Mac OS 10.11.4 installed running on the brand/model ADATA SP 550 SSD

  -This SSD is a 250 GB drive partitioned into two, with one of these partitions being my OS

  -J' ran this BONE of a Bay external thunderbolt

  -ssd is formatted as HFS journaling +.

  I am really confused about this error message and couldn't find much online about it.  I use a fairly recent OS install.  I installed the operating system clean and made all my preferences and install so that I can encrypt and then back up this pristine OS environment in time machine so that I could always go back to it on the line in case where things are bunk too upward.  I'd have to install yet another OS to clean and do all my long software installs and system preferences settings... SIP.  I don't know if that makes a difference, but this version of the OS that I have been cloned by superduper to this SSD partition.

  What is the brand of SSD that I?  Might that matter?  I appreciate all the comments.  I'm really scratching my head...

  To enable FileVault, you need a recovery partition, which you don't have. You can create one by reinstalling OS X.

  If you do not already have a current backup, please backup all data, and then reinstall the OS. * you don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need the backup unless something is wrong. If the system has been upgraded an earlier version of Mac OS X, you may need to the Apple ID and password to use.

  There are ways to back up a computer that is not fully functional. Ask if you need advice.

  If you installed the runtime Java distributed by Apple, and still need, you will need to reinstall it. It goes the same for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.

  Related support article refers to OS X 10.11 ("El Capitan"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later versions.

• CS5 only install the 64 bit version?

  I read several times (for CS4, at least) versions both 64-bit and 32-bit are installed on a 64 bit OS... so old 32-bit add-ins can be used

  I have a new 64-bit Win7 64 bit computer and I'll install CS5 as soon as it arrives on my front porch

  Given that I have no 32-bit add-ins and the 32-bit version is useless, is there a way to tell the installer to use the 64 bit version?

  1. run the Photoshop CS5 Installer.

  2. Enter your serial number. Click on accept.

  3. on the right side of the Options Panel under the title of 64-bit, uncheck the box for Adobe Photoshop CS5. Let the "Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 bit)" option checked.

  4. complete the installation.

  I tried to re-construction of the app and it's not helping. The plist has the minimum OS listed as 6.0. I could go and try to change it manually, but then the signature will be invalid. Correct this ASAP.

  Each port emulates an analog phone on your PBX. The number of ports you have is the number of concurrent calls that the unit will be able to manage.

• Thunderbird suddenly can't connect to the Internet (latest Version - 45.4.0)

  It was working fine last night. Starts the PC today and was an error in a program I use most (Samsung Kies) so I uninstalled this program. Loaded Thunderbird to check my email and I get an error message that it cannot connect to the internet and suggests to check the Proxy/Firewall settings. Firefox checked to make sure that my internet connection was working for other programs and it works fine.

  I don't have a proxy configuration as far as I know. Thunderbird was not listed in the Windows Firewall, so I added and ticked the boxes. Still does not connect. Tried to reinstall and still getting the same error message. Go to help / about try clicking the links there to see if they connected on the Mozilla site. These links also return an error message and do not connect to the internet.

  I tried to completely turn off the Windows Firewall. Also tried to restart several times. Tried to load Thunderbird in safe mode it is. Same mistakes. Thunderbird won't always connect to the internet.

  No idea what to try next. Thanks for the help.

  After 2 restorations system, the other a failure, Thunderbird magically work again.

  I need to buy a couple of cards CAN interfaces for my test application and I wonder what you choose

  I already used a PXI-8461 to obtain data of the customer model under test, and due to the fact that sometimes the client bus can be very busy, but most of the messages is not interesting for my system that I use currently series 2 comparator/mask/filter to filter only the interesting messages.

  Without this filter, the PXI-8461 often returns an error due to overloading of the bus. With the filter, everything works perfectly

  Now I need to implement several testbeds with this same feature, and I plan to move to the new PXI-8512 for new.

  My question is: is the most recent PXI-8512 a device series 2 institutions? Support the filter 2 series or any other mechanism to avoid problems on the busy bus?

  the PXI-8512 isn't a series 2 device. The PXI-8512 is a device of the X-NET family. X-NET is the technology whose use OR in support of CAN, LIN and FlexRay with a driver API. Series 2 devices use the former NI-CAN driver that only supports the CAN. All of the new devices are devices X-NET.

  Transceiver filters were traditionally indicated for applications where only a few CAN IDs have been considered on a bus high load. The hardware architecture OR XNET uses the engine NOR-XNET DMA-driven to eliminate the occurrence of buffer overflows.   It's normal.  All pilots must go through quality certification before appearing on SU. In general, a period of 2 months from the version posted on the support page.

  The absolute latest version would be on www.intel.com. The support site has the absolute latest version.
