• No video, only the sound in Windows Media Player

  Hello. Out of nowhere my videos stopped playing in Windows Media Player and I get sound. Most show a static of a frame of my video picture, while others display the icon by default windows media player. In both cases the sound plays normally but no mobile video!
  All videos play perfectly (both video and audio) in Windows Media Center, however I prefer to have them play in the drive by default as they did. I did some research online and tried a few things, but nothing worked and I'm hesitant to download codecs that can be harmful.  Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

  When you tried "System Restore" to what extent did you go back - it was automatically a restore point, or before the updates, etc. have been installed?

  My son works on a project and makes a few digital video on a SD card.  Downloaded to his laptop and mine (Vista) and it is in the .mov format.  It will be important on his computer and mine with the sound, but no video is there.  Uploaded to photobucket and we can see the video and hear the sound.  We tried opening both Windows movie maker and Windows media player?

  Anyone have any ideas?

  The .mov file format is a video format MPEG 4, released in 1998 and is used in Apple's Quicktime program, which is similar to Windows Media Player Media Player. As WMV (Windows Media Video) format .mov is connected with Quicktime

  Google for a free video converter and convert your .mov file formats supported by Windows Media Player.

• Deliver the sound of Windows 7.

  So a few months ago my sound started to just suddenly disappear when you watch a video on youtube for example. Then it started working again for a while. (It happened on and off like this every time im using the computer.) So the only way I managed to get the sound back to a video that I had to keep refreshing the site over and over again like 20 times or more and only then it starts to work (sometimes). Another way is to restart the computer.

  What I noticed today, it's that whenever I can't all sounds the volume bar does not move. It is not on mute and the bar is at the top for volume max.
  I tried to use the troubleshooting link I found in a windows help handler to search with no results. Found a problem, she could not fix. I also tried on a lot of different web clients and other programs like windows media player, Spotify, Itunes etc.

  Tried to find a position for anyone with the same problem, but he could not find anywhere. Please help me.

  List you it on your computer specifications so that someone can see if there are updates available for your system.

  You can also visit the manufaturers for Windows 7 drivers.

  Maybe you accidentally switched the display on an external monitor?  :|
  Have you tried to use the FN + F5 key combination to return the display on the laptop?

  In addition, I would recommend linking the external monitor to the laptop to check if something appears on a second external display.

  If this does not help with this strange problem I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country. Maybe, display works really bad and a very small part or whole LCD screen needs to be replaced

  I want to send an email but not receive emails. I can't find a way to send only without receiving email in Windows Live Mail. Windows Mail and Outlook Express had this feature, but I can't find it on the new version. Am I missing it or it is no longer available?

  As it was in Outlook Express, there is no send all button. You can, however, achieve the same effect: for each account, right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. On the general tab, uncheck the include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing. Outgoing messages will be sent according to your settings Options > General: send and receive messages at startup and the arrival of new messages every n minutes, then on the tab send : send messages immediately. CTRL-Shift-O should open the Options sheet.

   

  If you never wanted to receive with these settings, simply select the account from the drop-down list in the send/receive button.

• No sound in windows media player (11.0.6002.18111) only trying to play mp3 files. No way of fixing/uninstallation or reinstallation. Need advice!

  I recently encountered a problem with Windows Media Player 11 (a specific version in the title of the topic) where no sound play atall when you try to play mp3 files. When trying to play a track of the progress indicator moves VERY slowly and jumps in a stuttering mode and no sound whatsoever is coming through the speakers. He is a recent problem.

  All audio files work on other audio programs like Real player, quick time e.t.c. and the sound comes from the computer normally. Only the sound that I have are with windows media player when you try to play mp3 files. Still fine read video files, wav files play fine. How boring is that he suddenly decided he likes are more mp3 files!

  More annoying, I stumbled upon the fact that I can't uninstall the reader as in Vista, it is part of the operating system literal, I can't download and install WMP install package from Microsoft because I tried and it tells me that I have a more recent version of Windows media player and therefore impossible to use the downloaded Setup program to install or repair windows media player. It is therefore impossible for me to get an installation package that is newer than the one on the computer, you would have thought that the downloadable installation on the microsoft Web site would be the more recent but no!

  I can't think of a way to solve this problem. For me it feels strongly a Codec issue to do with MP3 and WMP but I don't really know about Codecs enough to go on the setting of the specific Codec with the question, or even track down which codec it is perhaps whether she "is" a codec problem in the first place.

  I tried settings with the menu of options in WMP 11 troubleshooting unsuccessful (obviously), I also tried an audio tool / repair of breakdowns than microsfts audio troubleshooting prompted me to try, that of no problems with the actual audio devices on the system... I KNOW, his problem with WMP and mp3 files!

  So, to summarize, WMP doesn't read MP3 files, I can't run a repair tool that there is no 'installation' to WMP 11 package, it is not an uninstall utility is which means that I can't uninstall it to reinstall a new, I can't download the installation package and run it as apparently I have a more current version than is available on the microsoft Web site. Then what should I do?

  I need some advice on how to go about trying to solve this problem I've hit a bit of a brick wall...

  FIXED!

  randomly enough rate and bit depth format sample somehow has set high in the sound control panel, advanced driver.

  After hitting "restore defaults" it resets the depth of rate and little sample return at: 16 bit 44.1 khz

  The sound now plays perfectly.

  Weird it performs only mp3 files!

  Thanks for the help people, it seems that I ended up sorting out on my own though! Yay for me! haha

• EZ Vinyl converter only picks up the sound for a half of the stereo

  On some pieces of vinyl (ex: The Who won't Get Fooled Again), my EZ Vinyl converter is capture only the sound of a speaker (IE half of the stereo) and very low captures the sound of the other speaker.  The song when played on the turntable Ion EZ and when it is connected to the sounds of perfect regular speakers and is in stereo... but when I capture the song in my iTunes library and then repeat it, it is obvious that only half of the stereo is correctly captured.  Is it possible to configure the recording of this song as mono?
