Onnetion 4540 problem s: 5 ghz ProBook

Hello

I have a HP Probook s 4540 with a windows completely update 8.1 (also the updated software through HP software update program), have just received the Virgin Media Superhub 2ac that supports Wi - Fi 5 GHz, but my Probook does not see it?

Ralink RT3290 802.11bng wi - fi adapter is perfectly up to date, so AFAIK it should see the connection of 5 ghz?

I tried to enable adhoc support 802.11n see if it works, but has been without success, can anyone suggest anything or am I wrong thinking that it takes in charge the connection of 5 ghz?

Hello:

Ralink RT3290 wireless card 802.11bgn is a single band (2.4 GHz) only.  It can transmit or receive on the 5 GHz band.

Note: whenever you see a card with a suffix of bgn wireless, it means that it is a single band card.

Dual-band Wireless-N cards have a suffix abgn or agn.

After that, I could not turn on my laptop. He just had white screen and Caplock light flashes 3 times. Can you help me!!!

Have you tried a RAM module in each slot or was used both slots at the same time?

RAM problems can be with the RAM itself or the RAM slots on the motherboard.

In case the POST test is false, although rare, you can try to restore the BIOS by following the steps in this document.

You will need to download Support UEFI environment to create the USB stick recovery.  It can be found here.

A few weeks, my computer was on and I left it to go do other things... when I got home, display exploded automatically as I put to do after unused 30minutes. So I moved the mouse so he can come back... However, when she came back, the contrast of the display was really very bright (to the point where I could barely see/read anything and it hurts my eyes). I ended up having to close, and then turn on the computer again to return to normal.

At the time, I thought it was a one-time phenomenon... but now it happened more consistently and I'm not sure what to do about it. Should the screen replace? The computer is only 7 months old so I hope its nothing too serious!  Help, please!

    Hello Nineteen92,

I understand that you view guard goes really bright and you are looking to solve. I think that an update came and he is not sitting correctly with your operating system. I will advise you a window system restore back to a point in time before when the problem happened the first time. If you look at and follow the steps in the HP Support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) you should be able to resolve your issue with the brightness.

I believe that the foregoing may solve your problem. Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of HP. Have a great day!

  • Ralink WIreless adapter N TouchSmart 600xt (600-600/t): problem w / 5 GHz 802.11n and DD - WRT fw

I really didn't have a good experience with HP support trying to figure why my wireless 5 GHz N is not yet detected by my new 600xt.  I tried to load the latest Ralink drivers and it made no difference.  There are a few settings in Device Manager on 5 GHz so I have reason to believe that it does not support 5 GHz as some previous TouchSmart users had trouble with.

This network is detected by my Dell laptop almost 2 years very well, so I didn't expect this.  My environment really demands N connectivity and even though I have a structured wiring all through my house, it is not likely that the location of this machine will get wired anytime soon.

I'm using DD - WRT firmware on a WRT600N router.  The DD - WRT software is a 2.4 version, but it's not the newest.  It is:

    DD - WRT v24 - sp2 (07/21/09) std - build 12533

If someone has already tried a newer version or more old firmware thanks for posting your experiences.

I had checked that the country in Ralink settings setting should be #7.  Nothing else seems not to apply to this problem.

I just got my 600xt the other day, but before I bought it I was wondering if 802.11n adapter that support 5 GHz.  It is my understanding that not all do.  I found a card for the 600-1050 version that says this:

    Integrated Bluetooth and WLAN 802.11b/g/n single-band (2.4 Ghz), 2 x 2 featuring MIMO technology

So I didn't even try helping with my band of 5 GHz on my router.  If yours is as well, so you will not be able to use the 5 GHz.

    Hope that helps.

  • Problem with keyboard HP ProBook 4510 s

Some keys of my laptop keyboard has stopped working for a month. I can't solve the problem. F1, ESC, tab, 1 and ' do not work. Tried the vacuum cleaner, tried to clean the keyboard out with compressed air, but does not. I can solve this problem? Should I clean my keyboard somehow? What should I do? Help, please.

    Hello

I think you will probably need to have the keyboard replaced.

As the problem is evident when Notepad starts first, this isn't a driver or registry problem as the operating system has not loaded yet (the function of the keyboard at this point is controlled by the bios, not Windows)

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the keyboard replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty, the replacement procedure (relevant part) can be found and starts on Page 76 of your & Maintenance Guide.

You should be able to get the relevant part of the HP parts store or HP PartSurfer.

  • Audio problem and possible solution, probook 4530 s, Windows 7 64 bit

Here is my variation on the theme "no audio".

This laptop was purchased in early July 2012 has worked well for a few days, then there was no audio output at all - no speakers or headphones via browser, iTunes or any other application.  In Device Manager, I noticed there are two separate features in the 'audio controllers, video and game.  We're "IDT high definition audio CODEC" and the other is simply "high definition Audio Device."

I searched this forum and tried many suggestions, including the update of the BIOS, driver uninstall/re-install and restore drivers - no luck.  Sometimes I'd get audio, sometimes not.  Now I have disabled the "high definition Audio Device" and this seems to have solved the problem.  I was doing an audio output for the last 24 hours, even after sleep and restarts.

My question is this: can I just uninstall the "high definition Audio Device?"   This seems to be the origin of the conflict.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi, I have this problem: cooler of my probook 4525 s is very strong and working constantly.

It starts about 10 seconds after the ignition. Is - this normal - the Task Manager shows 0-10% CPU memory about 27%. The laptop is 3 months old, and he did not this loud before cooling. It started about a week there to see something being hotter (period of spring-summer\ in Bulgaria)?

I appreciate any answer on the subject.

    Concerning

I asked a member of the HP Forum if there is a list of compatibility of laptops. I am not sure this will make your laptop run more silent. Have you checked the BIOS updates to see if there is one that deals specifically with the problems of cooling?

    What operating system is installed?

  • ProBook 440 G3: Problem installing Win7 on ProBook 440 G3 - HARD drive not found

When I install Windows 7 on this PC it does not detect the HARD disk drive. If I choose the most recent version, it can detect.

I was wondering when I try to install windows 7 it always require driver, I click on browse then it shows my drive on the HARD drive to find the driver, but it does not list in the place we choose to install OS.

How can I do to install window 7?

    See if it works...

I discovered that apart Intel chipset USB 2.0 support Skylake chipset.

This means that windows installs the drivers normal USB will not work.

The Microsoft Windows DVD ISO not the USB 3.0 drivers natives either.

Therefore, add USB 3.0 drivers in the Windows ISO file.

Intel has on it.  They have a utility that does all the work for you.

Run this and point to your Installation USB support and, hopefully, W7 will be installed.

  • HP Probook 4530 s Audio problems Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my HP Probook s 4530 where sound sometimes will not play. I downloaded the audio driver for my computer approriate. If I click on an application that requires administrator permissions, and user account control appears, it won't play the sound system as he normally does. If I click on the speaker at the bottom icon right and adjust the volume slider is not a sound. I also noticed that when I listen to any type of Internet video, the video will not play until the sound is working again. The video sometimes plays with no sound, then the sound catches up. I have tried many differnet browsers but the issue keeps happeneing regarless.

When my computer Windows 7, the audio worked fine. Videos always played and sounds performed system always spot him. My motherboard was replaced late last year due to overheating so I don't think it's a hardware problem. The strange thing is that this problem is not consistent. One minute the sound could be working perfectly, but two minutes later the sound stops just work. If you could provide no details on what it is (my theory is that it is the driver) I would really appreciate it.

I could try to capture a video of the issue, I'll have and post it on Youtube, but it is difficult, since the issue is sporadic. If I get a video of it, I'll be sure to post the link.

    Thank you!

Hello, I have a problem with your HP ProBook 4530 s. I need to replace the WiFi card, I wonder if the card Intel® Dual Band Wireless - 7260 AC will work? Maybe someone knows about it and give me an answer? Thank you in advance. What about Adrian. Or maybe someone has a suggestion, what other WIFI miniPCI-e card supports bunch that AC will work on this laptop?

This isn't the first HP Service, just useful fellow users. The bad news for you, it's that the laptop is old enough to have a white list of BIOS that restricts wireless cards, you are able to install. The list is quite frozen in time to what it was when the laptop is new and that HP has decided to offer both. In your case, the best wireless adapter's part number 636672-001 Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6230. It is a dual-band 2.4 and 5 ghz card, but not a 802.11ac compatible device.

    but irrelevant.

It was all signal uses 5 GHz would fall all over the House at the same time - not a problem of 5 GHz range, most of the 5 GHz range are in the same room as the router.

In addition, none of the articles addresses the issue of unable to open a session in 5 minutes - every time you've tried he would answer that the password was not valid. Then all of a sudden its own volition it would reconnect.

I managed to stabilize in the long run by clearing 5 GHz-1.

This problem occurred several times a day.

Since the workaround, it did not appear.

    This indicates a fault.
