• Connectivity problem between Nexus 5548 to VNX 5300

  Hi all

  I'm a lab facility where I want to connect Nexus 5548 UP to 5300 VNX storage directly. Physical connectivity is established between the switch and the storage, but the Nexus, the port State shows "linkFailure". I've tried corresponding to the port (such as self, F) mode and the speed but the port still says "linkFailure".

  Connectivity between Nexus and VNX is CF.

  Someone may suggest the cause or the troubleshooting steps.

  Failure to bind or not connected

  The physical layer link is not operational.

  This means that the switch does not detect the light, so the phyiscal layer is the cable and lasers (sfp, HBA or other adapter uses the VNX).  This could mean that you have to turn the interfaace to the top of the side vnx.

  Hi all

  I have problems with the ports of 1000Go Nexus 5548 ports. They go down once a while with the error "connection not connected" while the links are connected. When I move the connections to other ports, they work, but after a while the thumbs down with the same error. I can confirm it is currently down worked and its currently connected. Has anyone seen the error before?

I try to turn on file sharing and network discovery in the private profile. It shows that "the private sector is the current profile. The radio button lights. However, when I go to the file Explorer / network I got the message ' network discovery and file sharing are turned off. " The network computers and devices are not visible. Click here to change... " I click to change, however when I click to change it keeps returning and gives me the same message. I then go in ""network control and Internet\Network and sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings " and the option buttons in private profile for the network discovery and file sharing are turned off."

  If I turn off the Windows Firewall. Everything works. I need to open a hole in the windows firewall for 2 applications was discovered and network file sharing. I opened rather not just blindly ports. However, if this is the only solution, what ports do I need open.

  I have exactly the same problem.  (and I'm not the only one. - There are many!) The problem does not lie with the Windows Firewall. If I turn it off, discovery network and file sharing is turned on-tour he turn it back on and its all disabled subsequently and the rest of the way.  I've been round and round the forums of the world looking for a solution but still find a definitive answer.   Can someone provide a definitive answer on whether different types of vSwitch manage layer 2 priority internally (i.e. 802.1 p).  In other words, these switches internally generate queues waiting seprate, based on the received priority tag 802,1 p, then manage each of these queues at the specified priority (highest priority first transmitted). Or what's a queue internal so efectively not a priority within the vSwitch, just from any external switch (physical) marking in the path.

  Interested in the answer for each of: standard vSwitch, Distributed vSwitch, Nexus vSwitch.  In vSphere 5 and above.

  I asked similar questions before, and no real clear answer.  Apologies if I've simply not spotted, but I searched the docs of VMware and Nexus and of course google pretty bad too.

  I did the updates on cisco catalyst switches but never on the Nexus. How hard is it, and what process can abide.

  First, you must consider the 6.0 release notes (2) and make sure you have no significant impact on the network. The upgrade on a Nexus is pretty simple depending on your configuration. Do you have the FEX switches connected to your N5548? I assume that you have the system, already downloaded kickstart files and a backup configuration was taken.

  The following is an option, I used to upgrade the N5548 and also run some basic cleaning steps after the upgrade is complete.

  switch # copy tftp://192.168.x.x/n5000-uk9-kickstart.6.0.2.N1.1.bin bootflash:n5000 - uk9 - kickstart.6.0.2.N1.1.bin

  You will be asked to confirm the upgrade, the switch will be also preform prechecks and advise whether the MU will be disruptive or without interruption.

  I just bought the bike 360 and expected type of plug-and-play with my Nexus 4 but no way behavior. When they try to pair, Moto 360 disconnects immediately. SmartWatch reset several times but nothing.

• I installed sccm agent on all computers. Once someone deleted compture discovery and all have console disapper. I activated the discovery now all the computer show this agent are not installed

  We sccm 2007 R2.

  We used AD discovery to discover all the computer in AD and automatic installation. We are able to deploy the agent to computers.

  I was on leave we I come back, I discovered that there us no computer system. An abducted person discovery method. I managed to re-create AD discovery of computers, but now all the computer shows that there is no agent installed.
