  Can I get help from you pros Acer? I have an all-in-one Acer Aspire ZC-606 which I want to increase the RAM to 8 GB (the maximum possible) so it might run a little better. I have NO idea how to open it! I don't see any screws top anywhere on the back. You get it open? Answers would be appreciated.

  Just for the sake of the argument, can this descktop take a second HD and have it be an SSD? Someone who knows more about PC that I do currently told me I should try this update but cannot find if it is possible to do in this one. I found an online on this subject but inconclusive discussion.

  Photos online of open chassis, it seems that it has space to take a second drive with the original but I see not all ports to plug. There is a location empty on the set and I don't know what it is for...

  The desktop HP Pavilion 300-050np Mini Card, it comes with a 2.5-inch 1 TB SATA 5400 RPM drive. It is the only drive that has been tested to work.

  Upgrade and maintenance Guide page 11, it shows there is place for a single player.

  Recently, I had some problems with my computor (a Compaq CQ5352SC), where it crashes whenever I play a game (many of these games are prior to 2005, is not that they are demanding, since I played several post-2010 Games smoothly on this subject) or watching a DVD movie. Me and some friends believe this may be due to overheating, and after watching with a walk by torchlight through the air vents, I noticed that it is in fact extremely dusty inside.   It's very frustrating because I am trying to troubleshoot a battery that never stopped to load and I can't even remove the battery because we don't know don't know how to do.  No latch on the bottom of the chassis.  In addition, it is not addressed adequately in the user manual.  No mention of the lock or even a diagram.

  Can someone help me?  The model is AO725.

  To remove the battery on Aspire One 725:

  1. place the computer on a flat surface, side battery is in place.

  2. use the screwdriver to press and hold the battery latch (near VGA port) to unblock the situation.

  The battery will automatically be realease of the battery bay.

  3. slide the battery out of the battery bay.

  Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5542.  It came with Windows 7, and had MyWinLocker Yo-Safe pre-installed.  Since I upgraded to Windows 10 MyWinLocker Yo-Safe will not open.  After I entered my password in the window of MyWinLocker Yo-Safe he said Yo-Safe is open in a small window pop up at the bottom right of the screen, but Yo-Safe will appear in the window of this PC, and the overview of the tray icon still says it is closed.

  Just bought this laptop, original thought it was a big improvement on my Aspire 3 year!   Last problem after doing a full scan with McAfee is the touch pad or remote control will move the cursor but will not open other than McAfee programs.   The Windows (bottom left) symbol does not illuminate when the cursor is over it and I am unable to use the windows key + C to get the bar of charms.

  Thanks for your suggestion Acer-Justin.   Sorted by switching off / reset the keyboard.   Problem sorted update using Microsoft who has found a problem with the update system and then installed Windows 10 - everything looks ok at the moment.

  How to open the bottom of the R13? I can't find any information on this anywhere. I tried it myself. With Acer, I confirmed that there are altogether 12 screws I could locate and remove. However, I tried to lift the cover and then remove without success. It comes off almost halfway in the middle of the longer sides of the top and bottom but everything seems still as if I'm going to break the plastic if I dig everything more difficult. Acer support just tells me to keep searching around the top until it comes off and when I tell it like it will break they default and say to take it to a technician. Help, please.

  There are no screws should be removed to remove this piece of hinge. You don't have to remove the keyboard or screen to access the internal components of the system. Once the hinge is removed, there are 12 tiny screws that need to be deleted to remove the tiny itself.
