Open the file in double Fail

Having a problem with this script.  It works great when it works with the open file.  But when you add an order opening the file, Illustrator gives me an error MRAP? I'm doing something wrong?

Global

IDoc var = activeDocument;

var saveOutDirectory = (file ("MyDirectory"));

Save on

function saveFile() {}

for (var i = 0; i < idoc.dataSets.length; i ++) {}

currentDataset = idoc.dataSets [i];

currentDataset.display ();

idoc.saveAs (file (saveOutDirectory + "/" + currentDataset.name + "_MyFile.pdf"), myOpts);

}

};

Delete - print graphics and work plans

function removePrintAB() {}

var idoc.artboards = artbs;

for (var i = artbs.length - 1; i > = 0; i--) {}

If (artbs [i] .name! = "MySpecialArtboard") {}

artbs.setActiveArtboardIndex (i);

idoc.selectObjectsOnActiveArtboard ();

App.Cut ();

ARTBS [i]. Remove();

}}

};

Duplicate the Original file

var = TempFile (file (saveOutDirectory + "/" + idoc.name));

TempFile.copy (saveOutDirectory + "/" + "temp file.pdf");

Open (File (saveOutDirectory + "/" + "pellon_temp.pdf"));

removePrintAB();

saveFile();

Maybe it's because when you open the new file, you must declare your "idoc" again as it might refer to the old file.

    Hi Robrw,

    1. when exactly you receive this error?

    2. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    You can try to rename the catroot2 folder and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

    a. Click Start and in run type C:\windows\system32 and click ok

    b. find the Catroot2 folder. Right-click on Catroot2 and rename it to Catroot2.old

    If you are not able to do the normal mode, try to start in safe mode and rename

    Check out the link for more information on starting your computer in SafeMode below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2:

    If you are unable to access the catroot2 folder, and then try to change the permissions on the files and check if it helps.

    See the following article:

    Step 3:

    You can also try to temporarily disable third-party security software and firewalls and check what is happening.

    Note: Activate the security software after the resolution of the problem.

  • Windows opens the files by a simple click rather than double, how can I change this?

    Window 7 file selection clicks

    Windows 7 opens a file with a single click when I don't want to do, I want to just select the file for possible copy or other activity.  How can I force to require a double-click to open the file as good old XP

    If your on simple click to open, what you have to do is (dot) in the file.

    Click to open, tap Select.

    If you want to change this setting go to your libraries you are interested in, click on organize in the upper left corner, and select the folders and search options, general tab, change to double click, save.

  • HR 2015 - failed to open the file of project RH - RH crashes

    I have a client who has problems with the RoboHelp 2015 project file. It seems that something has been corrupted.  I received the project files and the same thing happened on my laptop. Are there files I can delete which would help resolve this situation? Something like this happened to me a long time ago and I thought that I was able to remove one of the files and RoboHelp rebuilt the file when I reopened it. For the life of me I don't remember what it was. Here are the steps that I can reproduce again and again:

    1. launch RoboHelp

    2. click on file > open project

    3. navigate to the location of the project file
    4. Select HTML RoboHelp project file

    5 RoboHelp begins to open the file. The cursor will move in one loading, appear as it tries to load the files. But does nothing. Client left running for hours but nothing changes.

    6 then he appeared

    This thread offers to delete the file rhfontset.apj - HR must re-create the file when you open the project. It will be in the same folder as the cpd and xpj files.

    Errors when opening a HR project.

    Maybe rename it initially to see if it helps - if you have sets of police custom, you may have to re-create.

    How the Virtual Machine has been backed up and restored?  If Time Machine then...

    It is a known fact that Time Machine is not 100% reliable backing up/restoring VMS in all circumstances/conditions.  Also back up Virtual Machines via Time Machine of disk/time intensive and wastes a lot of space for something that may be corrupted and worthless time to restore it.  At least I would exclude the Virtual Machines with virtual machines and Time Machine shutdown, not suspended and VMware Fusion closed and then manually copy the VMS to another location, preferably on a different physical hard drive.  So keep the user data stored in the virtual machine saved out of the Virtual Machine on a regular basis in order to always have a backup of the current user data.  If you need to restore a properly saved by VM is not as common at least you will have a virtual working Machine and data user to go forward with when you find out your Time Machine backup of the virtual machine fails.  Also take a look at: best practices for backup of virtual machine (programs and data) in VMware Fusion (1013628)

    That said, if you don't have a copy of the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk" and then to try to retrieve the data from the user, you can try the following:

    Download then unzip it (double-click on) the joint "Windows_7 - f004.vmdk.zip" file that contains the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk ' an empty logical binary measure that has been created on the metric of the existing drive and add to the Package of the Virtual Machine.  This should allow the VHD to be considered as a virtual hard drive, assuming that there is no damage to the extent of the binary left headers.  Take a look on: work with Virtual Machine packages

    At this point, that the VHD has the scope necessary to show as a full disk, assuming that it is not corrupt the header in other binary extensions and can now attempt to access for the recovery of user data.

    There are several ways to try to retrieve user data.  The easy, although not necessarily work properly according to what now lack us due to replace the missing binary extensions with a logical empty measure, is trying to start the VM normally.  If the virtual machine starts up on the desk and VMware Tools load properly you should be able to copy your data to user off on a USB or slip and fall on the side of Mac or if you have a configured VMware folder then copy the files through it.

    Other methods involve starting the Virtual Machine with a Live OS ISO Image and copy files from a USB key or temporarily assemble the VHD to another Virtual Machine work.

    With the right tools installed the virtual hard disk could also be mounted as another accessible Volume through Finder.

  • Problem with opening the files after the installation of creative cloud

    I am under creative cloud in Windows 7. Since the installation of CC when I double-click on a file icon the program opens but the file is not. I can only open the file on the file menu in the program. Very inconvenient. In addition, Acrobat now displays the error message randomly, "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server. Does anyone have a solution to these problems? Please notify.

    Hi Rhaydn,

    Test to see if you get the same behavior in a new user account with administrative rights. What types of files and programs were a double click when the application open but not the document? For the question of Acrobat, I found this thread

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/416414

    If this does not help, I recommend posting on this thread as well as anyone the problem.

  • I can't open the files in the downloads menu

    Whenever I have download a file (open or save), it never automatically opens, and I can't open it by clicking on the entry in the downloads/Panel menu. I can't 'Open containing folder' and use the file normally from there, or go to the library and double-click on the file, but it's annoying that will not open the files I choose to open.

    I use Aurora, but the problem persists in the stable version of Firefox.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    I considered my firefox reset (it would probably set it), but I was able to track the problem until mimetypes.rdf. I deleted it and now all is well.

    Solution: Remove mimetypes.rdf or reset (see this response)

    Hi John,.

    1 are you referring to AutoPlay settings in Windows XP?

    2. did you of recent changes on the system?

    If you are referring to AutoPlay settings in Windows XP, you can see the following article in Windows XP to enable the feature.

    The Autorun feature or the AutoPlay feature does not work when you insert a CD-ROM into the CD drive

    Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. I've attached a scan to an email, but it says "could not open the file C:\users\My Windows\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows |" Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\TQDLSO1A\etc, etc.

    I'm probably not explaining my problem fairly - well, I scanned something in - I used Nuance Paperport.  I have it attached to an email and sent to six people - including myself.  I always open the attached file to make sure that the computer has sent the right thing.  When I tried to open the attachment I got the message "cannot open the file - I have already sent you."  I think that Norton Security got rid of the file I need.  I think I will contact them.  I tried to contact Nuance - but alas, my warranty has expired, so no help there unless I want to pay for it.  If I can't have the problem solved through Norton, I will contact you again.  Thank you very much for taking the time to try to help me.  Have a great Thanksgiving action!

    ================================================
    Your explanation was nice... that was my answer that failed.

    I was hoping that you would simply copy the scan of your temporary
    Internet files folder and paste it on your desktop. Then you might
    evaluate what is the problem. I thought that trying to open
    with such a long way email could be a problem. And also... it's possible
    be a file association problem. And it could be a matter of file size.

    I understand that you care why the attachment to the email
    failure and I think you need to find what is the problem with the scan
    before fastening will be successful.

  • Shortcuts to programs, EXE files does not open (you will be asked which program I want to use to open the file)

    My system has developed a strange (and annoying) issue that no longer allows me to double click on the shortcuts of programs or EXE files.  When I do, I give myself a menu asks me what program I want to use to open the file, as if I was trying to open a file with an extension that is not associated with.

    The only way to get all the programs to run more is to right click on the shortcut and select "Run as Administrator".

    Right click on the shortcut also reveals a new 'momentum' (Yes, spelled with one S tiny) option in the menu.  I have not tried it works, in my view, it could be related to some false recently-removed security software that appeared out of nowhere last night.

    Any help to remedy this situation and get back to normal functionality would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    If program shortcuts are not no longer works, you will need to use a procedure special difficulty fo files .lnk (similar to the one used above with .exe files).

    Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the .lnk and run it.  That should fix your shortcuts.  Or you can use the link provided above by Michael Murphy - it does essentially the same thing.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
