Open the TCP Port

I'm trying to implement a TCP port to listen to music on my home network through JRiver. The server and work remotely on my home network. But I want to access on the network side.

I use ATT Uverse to access the internet. I disabled wireless and ATT modem to transmit to my Airport Extreme.

I have these instructions to configure the port:

  1. Open AirPort Utility and change your AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express. Select the tab network (image). Select the sign of closer Port settings box. The Type of Firewall entry should be IPv4 Port Mapping. Enter a description like JRiver Media Center. Enter the Public 52199 TCP Port. Enter the private IP address, it's the IP address of your JRiver Media Center PC at home. Enter the TCP Port private 52199. Click on save, and then click Update. (image)

When coming to this page, however, the firewall main entry box Type "IPv6" entered and grayed out, so it cannot be changed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but no image is available.

However, to start, running the AirPort Utility > select the AirPort Extreme > change > Internet tab > Internet Options...

What is the value to configure IPv6? If it is 'Automatically', change it to "Link-local." only (Note: I'm assuming that your ISP DO provide you IPv6 service still.)

    I can echo the two comments above!
    It is very easy to communication series in labVIEW, as we have pallets available.

    It works just like a file type handling (open, read, write and close)
    Open and configure with port com, baud rate, parity etc...
    Write on specific order before the reading of specific command.
    Read the provision of the number of bytes of data that you wait and close once your call is ended.
    It is always better to create a communication driver with the architecture of State machine with (open, write, read, relatives) options where the shift register is used to conserve resources reference

    Hello

    It seems that your configuration is correct regarding port forwarding. For more information, here is a link to the port configuration forward on the RV042:

    http://sbkb.Cisco.com/CiscoSB/UKP.aspx?VW=1&docid=e3105749e13f40a3a30280...

    One thing, I want to check is if you have a public IP address on the router WAN configuration.

    Access the summary system on the router, and scrolling to the bottom of the page, check the IP WAN1 to write down, then, on your PC, open a web browser and go to whatismyip.org, if the IP address, you get to this site Web is not him you have found for the router on port of WAN1 then most likely, you do not have a public IP address.

    If this is the case, you will need to contact your ISP and ask them to fill your modem so that public IP address goes directly to the RV042 and then forward port should work.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2, driver HP 7410 AIO, TCP Port printing

    I just finished a new installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit on my computer that was previously using Windows Server 2008 64 bit and can't set up access to the network at my AIO 7410 printer. I would use the most recent driver Windows 7 64 bit (AIO_CDB_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe), but the installation of the driver complains "this type of product does not have the list of the types of supported products. My first question is a driver Windows 2008 R2 64-bit will be available soon since none are currently provided?

    The way, I have Vista (AIO_CDB_Full_Network_enu_NB.exe) that does not detect the printer (192.168.1.100) of the computer (192.168.1.2) if I get the installation to complete using the USB option then try the last driver. Once done, I try to change the properties of the printer to change the used "USB001" port - virtual printer to USB port to a TCP port. However, when I click on the "add a Port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" I get a dialog with a title "Add Printer Ports" and the error message "cannot add port specified. Access is denied. »

    Has anyone solved what is the root cause of this error? I am an administrator on the PC and have never seen this before curve ball.

    I should add that a test page print correctly via the USB cable and another Vista PC on the network continues to access the printer through the network so that the printer works fine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Google is my friend! Found this thread: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vista/541278-solved-access-denied-network-printers.html that helped.

    The main steps are to create a new local printer, select the TCP port and provide the IP address of the printer. Windows query the printer and will automatically detect the HP 7410 driver is already installed and ask if it should use this driver I have answered Yes to. You should see a second printer now available in the control panel which is probably selected as the default printer. I unplugged the USB cable, print a test page using the new TCP profile and it works beautifully.

    I wish it was not so difficult to switch from a USB port to a TCP port, but I'm happy to have found a work around.

    I hope that this avoids some of the pain of losing a darker night of their lives thanks to the peculiarities of Windows!

  • ACL tcp port filter

    Dear experts,

    I study the ACL to (stop) the tcp port filter at the bottom of the URL

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080100548.shtml

    In the section of "allow only internal networks to initiate a TCP Session ', grateful if someone could enlighten me the use of the 'established '.

    interface ethernet0 ip access-group 102 in ! access-list 102 permit tcp any any gt 1023 established

    What is different if the ACL is changed as a result of:

    access-list 102 permit tcp any any gt 1023

    RDG

    Both your ACL suggested 101 and 145 are quite correct.

    ACL 105: Note should say, allow traffic back on tcp/80, with the source port greater than 1023. The rest of your comment is correct.

    ACL 115: Note should say allow all traffic with a source port of HTTP (TCP/80) and destination port above 1023.

    ACL 125: Note should say allow all the return of traffic with a source port of HTTP (TCP/80). And Yes, you are right, it also includes the ACL 105 function.

    ACL 135: Note should say allow all traffic with a source port of HTTP (TCP/80). And Yes, you are right, it also includes the ACL 115 function.

  • How can I programmatically determine if a TCP port is still open

    I use STM to go from communication between a GUI and a reat-time target. Everything works great except if the TCP connection is terminated at each end for a reason any. How I can programitcally queries the port to see if the connection is still valid with on a read or write on the port?

    LabVIEW is not any sort of TCP 'polling' VI. You will need to perform an operation of TCP and get the error provided to indicate that the connection has been lost. What did you do once you have discovered if the connection is no longer valid? Did you want to open a new connection and start using that one? If so, the best way to handle this is by trapping the error conditions in your code. If you get the error "connection interrupted" you open a new connection and try the operation again. I don't know how your code is structured, so I couldn't really tell you the best way to implement this in your code.

  • Open the client view ports

    What I need to confirm is the following

    Make the need for firewall to open the port UDP 4172 source security server and out to the Internet since it is UDP packet response?

    I saw links that provide information on this subject, and the links that doesn't... problem are related to black screen and disconnect when we use works ok with rdp and pcoip.

    Thanks for the replies.

    All the required ports for the display of the security in the DMZ servers, etc. are listed in 5.2 view Safety Guide. http://pubs.VMware.com/view-52/topic/com.VMware.ICbase/PDF/horizon-view-52-security.PDF

    You can watch here Server Security special rules - see 5.2 and 5.3 for servers security DMZ Firewall rules

    It is best to simply look at the official documentation for VMware for the particular version of the view you are using.

    It is true that if you block all the necessary ports for PCoIP (in a firewall or a proxy, etc.), you will get a black screen. There are other reasons as well if it is not configured properly. There are three stages of important configuration for remote access PCoIP and these are described here https://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-14974

    In response to your specific question on ports back to the client, the firewall rules for PCoIP State:

    PCoIP between Client and server security

    • Port of destination TCP 4172 of Client to server security
    • Port destination UDP 4172 of Client Security Server
    • Source port UDP 4172 security server to Client (this is the answer of UDP data)

    PCoIP between Security Server and virtual desktop

    • Destination port TCP 4172 security server to the virtual desktop
    • Destination port UDP 4172 security server to the virtual desktop
    • Source port UDP 4172 of Virtual Office for Security Server (this is the answer of UDP data)

    This is the third line of each of these sets of rules referring to ports to the customer. In general however, when you allow the UDP data through the firewall (for example, the port UDP 4172 from the Internet to the DMZ) the rule for the UDP data response from the source UDP 4172 at the client port is implied and does not need to be implemented explicitly.

    Recheck the three steps and it should solve your problem. If you still cannot put in place, pass the video at the bottom of the above link that he speaks to you through the correct configuration for remote access PCoIP.

    Let us know what it was.

  • Several Applications using UDP Multicast Open (read only) on the same port

    Hi all

    Currently, I am trying to build a system that has the following architecture:

    RF Server = "1-9 A/D '-> «UDP Multicast (write-only) 1-9"»

    Workstation operator = "QTY (N) Data Display Apps all need independently to access one of the 9 UDP multicasts at a time.

    Essentially, I have 9 items of antenna that all digitized and distributed via UDP separate multicast address and port. On the receive side I need to be able to have the N number of data display applications where everyone can select the antenna element he wants to get data from. My current goal for N is 7 and the worst case for the data rate is 3.75 MSps IQ rates on each display.

    My question is whether or not it is possible to have several "UDP Multicast Open (read only)" on the same port but one by application Data Display? Also, are there limitations with this.

    On my local machine I tried a bit with the example 'UDP Multicast Sender.vi' and "UDP Multicast Reciever.vi". I created a "UDP Multicast Reciever2.vi" as another application that listens on the same port/Multicast address as the original receiver. No errors are thrown when you run the receivers and both receivers get the data string sent by the sender at the same time. Can I send data/a. 'PC'-> 'Router Ethernet'-> 'PC with receiver UDP N' reliable evidence? If so, that's fine, because it would be relatively easy to implement. BTW, I do not fear with occasional loss of data what is happening with UDP.

    If this does not work, I am also curious to know which deals with data deduplication. For example, two applications by subscribing to the same Multicast address and port does the router send two copies (which increases network traffic)? Or, the Windows operating system get a single UDP packet to the port and replicate in two independent applications?

    Below (or attached) are the two methods I thought. If multiple readers of UDP does not work so I thought I'd do a DataSocket "Data Distribution layer" between the incoming UDP sockets and display data on the workstation applications. This would add a bit of memory/processor to the PC workstation, but I know the DataSocket server of NOR can handle a sender unique multiple receiver architecture.

    Thank you

    Tim S.

    Hi Tim,.

    The number of concurrent applications, get data on the same port UDP will probably be a limitation of the OS as well. If I had to guess, I would say that 7 of the applications should work correctly. In fact, the memory/CPU bottlenecks are probably the limit on how many simultaneous readers we have, especially since the capablities of PC hardware differ from one computer to the other. I doubt that the OS has a strict limit.

  • How to access a server based on the TCP/IP protocol port?

    Hi all

    Is it possible to access a server through a specific port via TCP/IP?

    We have a step of database server in our network that supports the TCP/IP access. My boss asks if it is possible to get some simple data via blackberry?

    The thing is that blackberry device is not in the network, how can we put a bb device in our intranet? Via enterprise server?

    Alternatively, if we can put the server on the internet, can the blackberry device access via TCP/IP?

    Thank you

    Jerry

    If you use wifi BB can access local servers. using direct tcp: nope.

    You can use a bes express (which is free) If you're afraid of costs, still takes time to install/configure etc of course, otherwise you can only use your product if your BB is in the local WiFi network.

  • Opening a database must be in the same port?

    I have a problem when opening the database with a different port.

    What I do is simple:

    1. create the database in a given example port: 62398

    2 - I shut down the database

    3 - I RE-OPEN the database in another port, for example: 62358

    When I create the object:

    new ReplicatedEnvironment...

    The system shuts down. He will wait in this line of code: new ReplicatedEnvironment

    I create a simple method to get a new free port:

    public static int getFreePort() {}
    freePort int = - 1;
    try {}
    ServerSocket serverSocket = new ServerSocket (0);
    freePort = serverSocket.getLocalPort ();
    serverSocket.close ();
    } catch (IOException e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    Return to freePort;
    }

    The port is available.

    The problem is not the free port, because if I use this free port to create a new database, it usually creates.

    If I try to open the database with the same port, it will open the dabase correctly.

    I already tried to delete the *. je.info when re-openining the database with different port, but it does not work.

    I HA interface requires that host names and ports for the nodes must be changed explicitly using an administrative order.  Start the node with a different port, or on a different host, is not enough.

    HA I stores information about host names and ports of members of the Group of replication constantly under the mechanism it uses to identify a quorum and needs to be notified of the changes correctly to avoid the risk to elect multiple (and competing) masters.

    The following reference from of the manual I HA provides general information on the configuration of the nodes, with a reference to make updates at the bottom:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E17277_02/HTML/ReplicationGuide/nodeconfig.html

    In particular, you can use the DbGroupAdmin utility to update the host name and the port of an existing node.  Please take a look at the documentation and write back if you have other questions about the use of these utilities.

    Also note that the *. je.info files are not where the content of the database is stored.  These files contain the debugging logging that is for people to look at when they notice problems with the system.  The database data is stored in files with names like 00000000.jdb (or many more).  But just to delete these files is not a good idea in general, and would have not fixed this particular problem.
