  I discovered that it is a Lotus Word Pro program that created it.  How can I updated with Microsoft technical support.  Pareto Logic wants to $29. 00 for a software "DriverCure".

  I suggest that you follow these steps and check to see if they help.

  Step 1:

  If the problem occurred recently, perform the System Restore to the point that your computer was working normally.

  Step 2:

  Test the issue in a new user account and check if the problem persists.

  Save the attachment to disk.  Then right-click on it and choose open with (or go to properties |) Change) and then designate the good program with which to open the attached file.

  I can't open attachments to emails.   I get the message "Required registry information is missing and this application cannot run.  Please return to the settings and correct the problem.  The program to open the attachments is broken and needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.   I don't have any idea how to solve this problem.

  The error message says that MS Word is not correctly installed and you need to remove a reinstall it. You have MS Word on your computer? If this isn't the case, get this viewer.

  If you do not have Word, you can try this, but if no joy, you may need to remove and reinstall Word.

  Create a file association.

  1. download and save the attachment to the office.
  2. right click on the saved file.
  3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
  4. click on: choose [default] program.
  5. Select: Microsoft Word.
  6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
  7. click on OK.

• Smartphones blackBerry "BOLD": cannot open attachments to emails or send emails

  I have the "BOLD" and it works very well for a month. Then, I got my Peral (an old that I dropped in the snow) to finally turn it back on and used the Fund Manager to transfer my contacts and settings of my "BOLD". Once I did that I can no longer use my "BOLD" to send emails or open attachments to emails. I get e-mails very well however. When I try to open the attachments I get the message "cannot perform more demand. Service book information not found ".

  First of all, what is the book of service? because I saw another post saying try to reset but I don't know how I could go about this.

  Secondly, any ideas on what I could do to make it work again? Is there a system restore? Or restore default settings to get rid of the changes I made when you use Desktop Manager to update my settings?

• I'm unable to download or open attachments to emails.

  When I click on the download link, a yellow window appears at the bottom of the screen with an option "save or save under ' (the open option is missing) but when I click on either nothing happens.  The yellow window then rest on the screen and cannot be closed without stopping my emails.  I run a full scan of the system, but the problem remains.  The attachments, I'm opening are word documents and the problem started a few days ago.  I would be grateful of any help.  I'm not very technical so interested if you can keep the answers as simple as possible, it would be much appreciated.

  Often when I receive an email with an attachment, I can't open it because this file does not have a program associated with it. I am then told to install a program or created an association in the default programs control panel.  I don't know how to do this.

  Issues related to the:
  1.) "suddenly" gives to think that you were able to open the attachments before. Is this true or false?
  2.) you have viewers needed to open the attachments? like PowerPoint Viewer, just to name one.
  (3.) your anti-virus program has electronic sweeping running option? If so, disable it.

  In the meantime, if you remember the date when you were able to open attachments, and the date does not exceed 15 days ago, you can do a system restore and choose this date as your restore point.

• All of a sudden I can't open attachments to emails. I get a message that the 'security settings' do not allow. Where are these settings and who put?

  I use TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my server e-mail and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and has attempted to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings prevent the download file. Well, I contacted TWC, Norton and my PC settings. It seems that Firefox is the problem! If I use another browser ie: Google and go to my email account, I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of updates and this may be the cause of the problem.

  After you enter the master password, I have to enter the password for each of my email also accounts.
  Let's say for 20 accounts that I need to get 20 different passwords, and it's a lot of time. Pouvez Thunderbird
  store all my passwords, so I can open all accounts e-mail with a master password. If not, can I get an add-on or opp to do this, please let me know.
