When I try to open firefox, this box comes up and says to keep trying to stop the script and the only way to open firefox is to stop the script
This type of error message is usually caused by a problem with an add-on. In this case I guess you have AVG installed since this error seems to be related to an add-on of the AVG, possibly the AVG toolbar.
Try to disable add-ons of AVG that you have to see if it stops the error, for details on how to do this see Troubleshooting extensions and themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems.

After Firefox 5, whenever I call a pdf file, I have a delay of about half a minute followed by the message "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends. The script is chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595. I don't know if it's Google Chrome, but I do not use Chrome on this computer. I han stop the script, but it happens every time. By clicking on "don't ask me" does not help.
This problem may be caused by an extension of AVG (tavgp) that is not working properly.
