Opening of session of Sierra produced several pop-up windows

Since the upgrade to Sierra a series of pop-up windows appears right after the desktop appears.  One is a settings dialog box "analysis of the PC" apparently linked to the Canon MX920 we use, even if the printer/Scanner sharing is disabled in system preferences.

A second pop-up window is an error Java SDK chronic also appeared after the initial upgrade of El Capitan.  This popup is displayed regardless of the question of whether Java is updated to the latest rev, or once the Pref window disappears completely in the system preferences panel.

The windows popup to third and following related to the parameters of the firewall for "openinfo" network connections, "openexec" and "openbase.  These popups appear even if the settings of the firewall have been set to 'Allow' or 'Block' inbound network traffic for each of them... and for "openbase" even once the OpenBase Pref Pane has been removed from the System Prefs.  In addition, they appear even after the firewall has been disabled.

The next update of Sierra should address these errors as soon as POSSIBLE or we will return to Yosemite.

Changing the settings of firewall to block all incoming connections eliminates the popups mentioned in the third paragraph above.

The "Scan of the PC Settings" and the Java SDK error dialog boxes always appear after the successful logon.  Running MalwareBytes and ClamXav do not eliminate these pop-up windows.

    Startup Repair: frequently asked questions

Here are answers to some common questions about startup repair.

    What is the Startup Repair?

Startup Repair is a Windows Recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.

If you experience problems when you attempt to run the Startup Repair tool, or if your computer does not have the Startup Repair, your computer manufacturer can have customized or replaced the tool. See the documentation provided with your computer or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

    How to use Startup Repair?

Startup Repair is located on the System Recovery Options menu, which is on the Windows installation disc. Startup Repair can also be installed on your drive hard if your computer has preinstalled recovery options. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

If you have a Windows installation disc:

    1. Insert the installation disc. If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.

    2. Restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    3. Choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    4. Click on repair your computer.

    5. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. In the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

If your computer has preinstalled recovery options:

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    2. Do one of the following:

      • If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again.

      • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.

    3. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight repair your computer and press ENTER.

    4. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.

    5. Select a user name and password, and then click OK.

    6. In the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

Are there problems Startup Repair cannot fix?

Startup Repair cannot fix hardware failures or certain types of virus attacks. It is not a backup tool, so it cannot help you recover personal files, such as photos or documents. To help protect your computer, back up your system and your files regularly. For more information, search for "backup" in Help and Support.

What happens if startup repair is unable to solve my problem?

If the repairs are not successful, you will see a summary of the problem and links to contact for support information. Your computer manufacturer may include additional support information.

Do you have any antivirus, in addition to Windows Defender?

System Fix is a fake program aimed at obtaining the payment card information. If you have used your card with it, contact your card provider immediately.

  • Receiving several pop-up windows on my system for different purchase antivirus software.

clean 566-7 300 mistakes that inhibit access to sites/emails

Whenever I have start our different computer I receive in the lower right corner, saying of the dialog box: "your Vipre license has expired...". "or, Pro Optimum found 7 366 (on) the errors & starts to scan for the cleaning. So I wonder if I want to buy.  Then, Norton anti-virus appears with 3 other purchase options. There is also another (Redifix or like that) who wants to clean up our computer.  I would like to know who I'm supposed to go with.  When my niece got this computer as a gift, she was very young & his father had everything already asked for his use. Now, she lives with me & neither we, nor his father, knows his stats IPL or programs.

Another problem is that we don't have a credit card for online purchase, but if I could get help in what icon on the desktop, they are all on the desktop (Vipre, Norton, OptiPro, & the other) or how to send payment & which one. ?  Can you help us?

If you have more than one installed and active antivirus program, it's a bad thing.  You must remove all antivirus programs from your computer except the one you want to use and then only keep one, otherwise they are likely to cause problems of system and blockages and other issues.  Personally, I recommend the free Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus program - it works well and the cost is unbeatable.

  • Open a session in a pop up, rather than in the main browser window

    Hello

I used to be able to open all my meetings Connect in a pop-up window (in fact it opens automatically), I was on XP.

I just switch to Win7 (not sure if this is relevant) and now whenever I open a session it will open in the browser window (in Firefox or IE).

The pop-up has been much more useful for me, is anyone know if/how I can force my Connect meetings to open that way?

    Thank you!

You must install the Add-in connection. You can find it here: http://www.connectusers.com/downloads/

  • How can I allow pop ups even after that 'Block pop-up windows' is unchecked?

When I'm on the site of Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/) and I click Create > Document, I get the following message:

"Firefox prevented this page automatically redirecting to another page."

My only options on the far right are 'Allow' and '[X]' to exit.

The URL for all new document starts with 'https://docs.google.com/'.

Because creating a new Google document forces a new tab to open, I felt that it would be "pop-up windows".

    Help, please!

This isn't because of a blocked popup.

It is a setting of accessibility.

You can disable this option by following these steps:

    1. Go to the Firefox Options
    2. Select the general tab
    3. Uncheck the Warn me when Web sites try to reload...

The report please come back shortly.

  • Error: open the-1073807300, probably because of several sessions of VISA. How to close all?

I have a simple vi that takes a reading of a picoammeter, using the instrument-specific sub-vis. I guess I'm the new opening VISA sessions each time I run it. Recently I get the 1073807300 error: not enough system resources to perform the necessary memory allocation. I tried to add a close command, but I still think I have VISA open sessions.

Any suggestions on how to close will be much appreciated!

Is attached to the original vi (picoamm_1) and initialization void / vi if it can help.

It's all wrong. First of all, you don't have control of IVI resource name. It's the wrong class. Right-click on the entry of the initialize function and select "Create Control". Second, you don't close the IVI sessions because you have wired it correctly. This shift register is just ridiculous. Do NOT wire your control in the loop and return. You want the reference to the session of the function of the loop of wire at the Close function which is in the driver. As it is to wire the session, the loop will be autoindex in a table. Just right click on the exit tunnel and select 'disable indexing. "

  • Sometimes, when I try to do a Google search, many pop-up windows 'Search the opening' appear. I can't keep typing in my search until I closed all these pop-up windows. How can I stop the EVER arise again?

They are small pop up windows. When I start to enter key words to search for, very often these things pop up and not a single one. A lot of them. Popping each other on the other on the other. I can't enter anything again in the Google search box until I closed all the windows. And, usually, the ones many of them will appear again when I enter my search in the next letter.

This is what it says in the pop up box:

Along the top it says in clear blue margin 'search for opening.

Under the foregoing and in a white box, he said:

    "You have chosen to open.

    [a symbol Windows] search

        which is a: application/json
        from: https//www.google.com

Then on the sketch of an inner box, it reads "that should Firefox do with this file?" and it gives the following options:

        Open with ["Browse" button]
        DownThemAll!
Save File [This one is checked as the default]

Then a check box with the text next to it: "cela automatically for files like this in the future.

Under this is a button 'OK' which is in gray and cannot be controlled and one button 'Cancel' which may be. I have never done but used the 'X' at the top right of the box to close this window.

Now I see that I have limited options for "Happen" for the frequency. It is not every time that Firefox is open, but it is MUCH more common than 'a few times a week'. More like several times a day.

I erased the Max, disabled all extensions and then restarted my computer. I tried to raise the problem with the Google search and it didn't happen (yet). I then re-enabled only the modules that really make me more easy life on the net, and once again, the problem has not (yet) surface.

I don't the tag as resolved for a few more days to be sure it is resolved.

Thanks for the help! I hope it's resolved now.

  • Going to live changed, now Family Safety associated with this account will not open a session

    Summary of the issue
Other issues of Windows Live family safety

What version of Windows Live Family Safety do you use?
    Version 2011 (15.4.3538.513)
    Choose your operating system version:
    Windows 7

    Additional details

    • I don't know how unbullet these (way to go), but which is not my question...

        • I changed the password on my live account to account.live.com

          • I can connect to most Live services with this account by using the new password (I'm now connected with it)
          • It will not work with the installation of the parental controls, I installed on two computers (for example, to work around a site "in person" or temporarily disable the software.)
        • I uninstalled parental controls on both computers and reinstalled with the web installer Live Essentials.  The real account seems to authenticate correctly the first time, he asks the account to use when opening of parental control for the first time.  After that, "the Windows Live ID or the password is incorrect.  Please try again ".
        • I did a reset of password.  This most recent new password does not work (but it allows me to sign in other online like hotmail and other services).
        • I thought it was a kind of "replication" or something - the password is changed for 4 hours, still does not work (only in parental control).
        • My id is * address email is removed from the privacy *
        • This isn't because of the caps or keyboard failure.  Two keyboards.  I pressed each key very carefully several times, I put the right password.
      • Thank you for any input!

    Hi fsscayc,

Regarding your password problem, I will convey this to our Windows Live team as a feature request for a future version of the program. The team of the said values and recognizes the suggestions and feedback from users of the Windows Live products. You can also submit this page http://feedback.live.com/ and select "Windows Live Family Safety".

When you go to fss.live.com and it redirects you to the website "Live Essentials", this indicates that the account has not yet been defined in the client Windows Live Family Safety. You must connect to the customer first before you can access fss.live.com.

On the prompt "only an adult can connect as a Parent Family Safety. Ask an adult to log in.' it is possible that you tried to open a session with a Windows Live account does not have the required age of the customer sign of family security.

Let us know if you have followed all of questions about this.

    Thank you
    Gerard G.
