Options of the device of blackBerry Smartphones?

I can't find the options of the unit ANYWHERE.

Help?

If you have a Blackberry 8520, look on your home screen for an icon indicating Applications. If you click this icon, it will open and there will be several apps housed, which will be the terminal Options. In addition, even if you have the icon of the Application open, press the Blackberry key. A short menu is displayed, search for the word Hide. If it is checked, clear it and other hidden apps appear. Hope that helps! =^)

    Hello

The first two things to try are to restart your computer and perform a battery on your BlackBerry pull - while the device is on, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.

Who help me? If this is not the case, after return as there are has a few other things we can try.

  • Where can I find the option "Enable the device" in the settings of my account?

I would like to activate a second laptop to be able to work at home after hours. Where can I find the option "Enable the device" in my Adobe Creative Cloud account settings?

In addition, no knows the minimum requirements or the latest MacOS, which is required to install the Adobe Creative Cloud App on my older laptop MacBook Pro. Is the correct information, "Mac OS X v10.7 or later?

    Hi Khpet_kr,

You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

  • Device of blackBerry Smartphones, sending text messages invisible to the unknown mobile number

Hi, just bought a unlocked 9360, having a strange, new problem in Blackberry, so be, permissions or something, but the device sends texts to a number of mobile which is not in my repertoire, recent calls or texts. My allocation of text on O2 came down, I changed to a Giffgaff sim and who goes down also.

I know that the phone number as Giffgaff sent me a list of numbers, the texts were out to and they are all the same one.

Sorry to be a beginner, if it's as simple as the app permissions.

    Amanda

Let's be clear. There are SMS messages are automatically sent from the device and you're not sending them? If this is the case, then now, follow these steps:

Turn off the mobile network radio. Perform a full backup. Do a security wipe. When you do the wipe of security, check the box to delete applications.

    See http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14058 about security wipe.

After clearing security, do a selective restore of just your personal data. Do not restore settings or application data. But, if you can start from scratch and go do a restore, do.

Go ahead: set a device password and lock your device when you have eyes on her. Don't lend your device. Don't let anyone use it. There is a setting in the options to require the device password in order to install an application. I recommend that you enable that. Finally, be careful what apps install.

My best guess is that there is a malicious application on the device. Maybe it was when you bought it, maybe someone put there after you acquired it, or perhaps you have inadvertently installed. Cannot be sure. But obviously this is not something you want, at the very least, and you don't know what it is to delete.   This is my reason for the security wipe.

  • Device Manager blackBerry Smartphones are missing from the phone

The Device Manager icon is missing from my Curve 8300. I suspect it might have been accidentally deleted. I need to change a setting, how can I get that back without my phone of stripping and reload the software? I can't find it in the Manager of office as an option to add on.

    Thanks in advance

    GOOSE

Well, you can not remove the Options/settings icon. You can only MOVE or hide it.

    Anyway... two options to try:

    1. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

If it still does not appear, follow these steps:

    2. you set Homescreen shortcuts mechanism: to enable these shortcuts to work, you must have "Dial from home screen" set to "No" (go to the dialer (press the Green kley) > Options > General Options.)

Also note that you only need to press to get these applications - if you press the keys, then the appropriate number of speed dial is always composed.

Now, as the value, press the letter 'o' of the screen and your menu Options will appear.

  • Device of blackBerry Smartphones, password fails at the end of the installation OSv5 on 9000 "BOLD" - help!

I installed the OS on my 9000 "BOLD", to the latest version.

The process is almost entirely complete - unit recharged, and the progress bar to "Restore device data" seems to be almost complete.

But then I get a message "your BlackBerry is currently locked. To continue, you can unlock your device. »

So I enter my password on my blackberry and it does not - he thinks that I typed the wrong password.

I try 5 times with the same results.  Yes, I type the password correct even I had to use when I started the Fund Manager and the installation process.

The installation somehow caused my device to zero or change his password - how do I continue?

I'm afraid to unplug the unit, given that the upgrade process has not completed.

I'm afraid to enter the wrong password, since it will wipe my data from the device, and I don't know if I can access after installation to restore the only recent backup I have is one created automatically by the installation program.

Can anyone help?  What should I do?

My blackberry is associated with a corporate server, which can restore a part of my data - but in its current state, it is not activated with the server.

Don't be afraid to unplug your phone during an update.  This seems quite heavy but you can still recover your phone of the backup that was made before the start of the update automatically.  You might even find wise wipe the phone and restore this update.  My only concern is that he could not get rid of the password problem. It can install the password feature again and you would be away before.

I hope someone knowing the password function will have to intervene here to help.

  • Frozen to the software update blackBerry smartphones

I have a Blackberry Curve 9360 and it is frozen all by doing an update of the software (progress overall backup 13%).  It has been like that for the last two hours.  I tried to take out the battery, but it just goes back to the same screen when it restarts.

    Can anyone help please?

    Two options to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failure http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

  • Journal of the events of blackBerry Smartphones

    ALT-LGLG

Displays the event log that I discovered.  I did a search, but I can't find anything that explains what it is or how it is used.  Must/should this not be sometimes erased or deleted to free up memory.

Can someone point/direct me to the right place, please?

    Thanks in advance

    5eleven,

I found this in - PCWORLD

See details of event log, free up memory by turning off the list

Your BlackBerry event log displays events recently running and the processes on your system. If you encounter a problem with your BlackBerry or having a problem with a specific application or service, the event log information can be useful for troubleshooting. And it may be a good hygiene of BlackBerry to clear the log, to keep your appliance to operate properly.

    The blackBerry event log

To access your event log, go to your home screen, press and hold the ALT key and type "LGLG." The event log will appear, and you can click on a specific event for more information or press your BlackBerry MENU key more than options. The MENU key has seven points in the form of the letter B, and it is directly to the left of the BlackBerry devices with balls. You can copy event information by using the MENU key and customize your settings to connect only specific types of events.

You can also free up some device memory valuable to help your device to run more quickly by disabling your event log. To remove from your list of events, press the BlackBerry MENU button while any event is highlighted, then click on 'Clear log'. A dialog box will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the log. Once you confirm the deletion, your timeline is erased. (Don't worry, if your IT Department is running the management software of device as well as its BlackBerry Enterprise Server, your company probably owns his own recording of this event log).

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 not saved the network of Blackberry smartphones

    Hello

I have Blackberry data services with my provider of Meteor, and that they worked with my previous Blackberry 9900. I had to replace it and bought a second-hand 9900, which was a feature of company on the Vodafone network. I have unlocked it and I am able to use the SIM for calls and connect to the internet via wifi, but I'm unable to activate Blackberry internet services. Host Routing Tables are empty and I can't save. In addition, in the e-mail settings, I get only the ability to create a company account.

I did a full factory reset and I tried to save the Tables in routing host several times but nothing happens.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Start here please... you did some, but not all, these necessary things:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

    In addition, please check this:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If there is a COMPUTER policy, please will then this:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Finally, after all that, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then again please contact your mobile provider for formal support. Please ask him to check very carefully as to why your BB cannot receive BIS of their network. There are several possible reasons (e.g., lost or stolen), and you will have to convince them to 'dig deeper' to understand why. Be aware that only they can do this research... nobody here has any access to this research.

    Good luck!

  • Upgrade of the OS to blackBerry Smartphones Logman a success

Well, I got success install the OS4.5 last night on my 8320 TMOB. However, I had moments of panic. As mentioned earlier, I can move on a computer, but certainly not an expert. Now that I've updated and everything seems to work very well, I have a few questions. (1) with the new OS which size media card can I go up to? (2) can someone tell me how to format the card when I get it back? (3) I lost the prompt "delete on handheld & computer" during the removal of e-mails. How can I restore it? Is it possible to restore? To let everyone know, if I can update an operating system, anyone can. Thanks to the people who gave me answers quickly last night when I was doing the upgrade. 1. this question has been answered in your previous thread where you asked... don't forget to check the previous discussions.

  • Problems of the mail of blackBerry Smartphones

Not sure if this is a problem or two. The two are related e-mail.

On my curve (AT & T network) my emails come from three accounts: blackberry by default, a hotmail and a business account.

Previously, when they arrived, I had three options, I could 1) remove unit, 2) remove the device and the server it comes or 3) cancel.

Now, I have only two options: 1) delete or cancel the 2). This reflected what he said to me when an SMS arrives.

So, when I choose the delete, it isn't clear it from the server, and I have to manually delete the emails of my accounts and get essentially the same message twice, once on the handheld and once in my email box.

Is it possible to restore the options remove?

Second, I can receive, but not send e-mail messages from my handheld.

    What can we do?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

    If this does not work:
Go to options advanced options, host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT CLICK on any list.
Press the menu key and select sign up now.
You will receive a verification email. Then go to email settings and send service directories.
You will receive an email by account. Repeat the battery pull and see if the problem is
    solved.

    Thank you

  • Is it possible to manage my contacts in the computer to blackBerry smartphones?

Hi, I was wondering is it possible that I can manage my contacts from my computer? When I bought this phone, BB Storm and performed a sync with my computer, I had a lot of questions which have fortunately been resolved through this forum (thanks guys). I got all my contacts that I thought I had lost, but now my contacts appear in my BB as individual registrations. Let me explain: Mia's mobile phone number on one... Mia's personal phone number on another contact... all his information are separated by the singles... I hope that I was clear English is my second language... Is there a way I can manage my list of contacts in the computer, because my BB, I could lose my mind trying many fixes to type... I have 600 contacts...

PS: On the "option screen and keyboard, touchscreen options... What is the ideal choice"interval type"...» 100, 200, 300... What is 'Hover period'... excuse my ignorance... AND "Swipe Sensitivity", what is the ideal number to use...? SO many questions? SIP...

    1. I would recommend that you synchronize your data of contact BlackBerry to your computer using Desktop Manager to synchronize with Outlook or Outlook Express. From there, you can edit, merge and massage your records and then synchronize to the device.

    Download Desktop Manager here:
    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

    2. try these settings on your Storm.

Increase the interval of 500 valve.
    Increase the hover at 1000.
Increase the sensitivity by scanning at high (6).
    Fast rate.

  • Use of the memory of blackBerry Smartphones

I'm a little red faced.  But thanks for the instructions to the new Message.  I'm new to blackberry.  I have a lot of emails between different accounts.  This is my first experience with the receipt of e-mail to a "mobile phone".  I have checked through earlier assignments and know that my options are set for 30 days.  All these messages with attachments that have been opened are beings stored on the device memory?  It seems that I'll take five to 10 messages at once, or at least when I check, and I have not the time to remove a.  I also know that I can delete multiple messages as soon as possible.  Please, don't think it's crazy, but I hope that tolerate the elderly, it seems that if I just ignore these messages that I don't want to not display on my blackberry, stored in a bunch? No worries of memory?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, enforcement and the memory of the device are combined into "free file"... This is, IMO, a little more difficult to administer that you can't see really how AppMemory you have. Nevertheless, here are some tips to use:

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now to your question... Yes, if you do not erase the messages, they take place on your device. But wherever we consume is more delicate than what I described above (there are a few other places of memory... but I did not fully understand those!). Basically, if your device starts running out of space to store messages, it will start delete 'old', even if the timer you have set has not yet expired on these points. It protect themselves first, then try to keep things for you.

As for the attachments... I don't think not that those who download, unless you open in fact the message and then again to open the attachment,... so, if leave you a message without opening it, the only storage that it'll take is the bit of the message itself... the attachment occupies no space if you don't ever get it.

    Good luck!
