  Hello!

  We have a system for about 9 years. There is a PC with Windows XP and LabView 6.1. In the PC, there is a card GPIB PCI, and via the GPIB cable, 8 Keithley DVMs (including models like 2010, 2400, 2182) connected. A few days ago this old system began to malfunction. There are 4 screws are parallel on this old system - worked fine until now- but none of them are now able to communicate with the Keithley instruments.

  I got a virus check, also verified WinXP, checking the memory and so on (we had several BSOD also on the old PC). Because I couldn't trace the problem in the old system, I decided to check into the Keithleys with a new configuration.

  I have a new PC with a card GPIB + PCI and LabView 2010. I connected this new PC line above with the Keithley instruments GPIB. (old PC disconnected) When I open MAX and I navigate to the GPIB controller, and I scan for instruments, all DVMs Keithley started a signal sound and displays "error 420" on their screens. And I agree I get in MAX.

  So now I have to think that it is a hardware error? Since I have the same problem of communication the DVMs in this new configuration PC...?

  A defective digital Voltmeter can make unreliable GPIB communication? I have no idea where to go now...

  Moreover, in the case of the controller old PCs, I don't get any visible error, only the screw do not communicate (time error). I think I will also try to use the old system again, I will connect the new PC to GPIB channel and listen in the communication with the GPIB Analyzer functionality.

  Basic troubleshooting: have you tried simply as an instrument both for the bus connecting? You can also check the cables.

  Hi all

  I did the following and now NEITHER MAX is suspended and tries to instruments indefinitely:

  (1) uninstall NOR visa 5.4

  (2) install OR visa 5.3

  (3) uninstall NOR visa 5.3

  (4) reinstall OR visa 5.4.

  I did all this because I have a GPIB instrument max sees it as a resource.

  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

  I found an updated driver for my GPIB to USB cable from keithley (KUSB - 488A driver v9.2).

  I believe that everything works now with the updated driver, so I will not install the latest version of NOR-488. 2.

  But thanks for your help, I hope that my GPIB woes are resolved for the moment.

  Hi, I am using Labview 2011 with a NI USB 6009 and a USB-5133. I don't really know if I can use this scope in my vi as I'm not terribly familiar with Labview in general, but no matter; I've got each of these devices connected to my PC, and eahc of their lights of guard dog is on so that they are actually able to. However, when in Labview I try to use the Instrument Driver Finder to update/install drivers because the devices are currently not available everywhere in my tools, the finder tells me

  "No detected connected instrument.

  I went to find the drivers for the scope of my own and downloaded, but to try to install a message pops up informing me that above all versions had already been installed (it is a work pc shared by many). So apparently the drivers already exist in the computer, and yet he always says that there is no connected instruments.

  When I go to my palette of functions, under the Instrument of e / s-> instrument Drivers, OR-Scope is not listed.

  Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

  Its possible the NOR-Scope driver has been installed after LabVIEW. Try to uninstall the version you have and install later. A repair can also work.

• MAX does not show my Instrument GPIB

  I have an instrument which I control through GPIB interface.

  The instrument is a model of arbritraty 301 Wavetek function generator.

  I already downloaded and installed the drivers for this mode of the instrument.

  I want to control this instrument through PXI My system having integrated controller NI PXI-8105.

  The controller itself have connector GPIB whereby I connect the instrument Fgen. SO the GPIB address would be 0.

  Today, Max under 'devices and interfaces' it shows GPIB0(PCI-GPIB).:manhappy:

  When I am pressing the button "Scan for instrument" then it shows that the error occurred and no instrument is however I connect the Fgen and provided properly.

  It gives no details about the error.

  Device OR 488.2 driver is also installed in the PXI.

  In the function generator is a logical address of the device selection option. who is correctly set to 2. I tried with change to 0 also, but it did not work.

  Is this really the problem with the Instrument itself?

  I recently had to format my hard drive and reinstall iTunes 12.3.2.35 on my Win7 PC. As part of the re - install iTunes, I clicked on the button scan for music.  This has created duplicates several of my songs.  I deleted then the duplicate songs from iTunes, but when I went to play a few songs a pop-up said "the song would not be because the original could not be found.  You want to locate? "When I tried to locate the song it is not found, but when I pulled the songs out of the trash they could be found.

  iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

  I have the same problem. Host Update Utility does not work with windows XP Spanish, you must install Windows Vista Spanish Profesional.

  I think that vmware cares not Spaniards.

  You can delete this folder to cancel the download.

  Thanks for the question!  I understand that you have imported ringtones to your computer and you are not able to see them in iTunes.  Ringtones in iTunes are usually marked with the extension .m4r and if they do not have this extension, whereas they would be music files.  You are able to check that these files have the extension?  If these files have been imported into iTunes, you can locate in C:\Users\username\My Musique\iTunes\iTunes Media\Tones.  If these files are not in this folder then the article below will guide you through how to locate them.

  I'm unable to scan A4 paper on my device of 8600 by using the HP scanning Application. I have validated that I use the latest software/firmware.

  I can print on A4 paper just can't sweep.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Thank you for your answer! I was wondering if you are able to copy with A4 paper.

  In the meantime, try the following:

  Load A4 paper on the ADF clash.

  On a Mac, click the Apple icon, click System Preferences, click Print & Scan, select your printer in the list, click the scanning tab, then click on open Scanner.

  Make sure that the document feeder is selected not to dish. Then change the format of A4 paper.
