  Just need confirmation that the old Java based Enterprise Manager 10g left for always with 11g and there is no installation of 11g client management console (at least I can't find one). And after searching for the ndo son Oracle documentation, it seems that I can install database 11g on my local pc and then have a dbconsole (not the grid control). Please confirm that this dbconsole only points to the specific database that is installed on the same pc, and it cannot be used to manage remotely located 10 or 11 g databases. I'm still in the planning stages for the installation of grid control and want to use the more small enterprise manager - java control. But even once, there no such Oracle 11 g application now?   Confirmed. The DB Console is linked to an ORACLE_HOME one HOST for a single INSTANCE. The HOST and the INSTANCE are used in the directory naming (of all stupidity) and the content of the configuration file under the ORACLE_HOME.

  Confirmed. Fortunately, the grid control is included in the license database in accordance with the manual of licenses of database, and you can place the grid on a separate machine control. As the Grid control is powered with a single agent for all products (and any other database) on the target host, the grid control puts on a much smaller footprint on a machine of database that even the old console Java.

  Note that the grid control of 11g (at least) will tomorrow announce Webcast - check the RTO.

  Very new here.  I don't know where to post anything.  My apologies, but I'm all over the room.

  I installed 11g and downloaded SQL Developer (not even sure if it should be "installed" because it's just a zip file).

  In any case, on the SQL command line I get SYSTEM CONNECT, then my password.  I get the following error:

  ORA 12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified.

  Also, the "get started" link not working anymore.  Don't know what's happening, or if it is specific to my laptop.  I tried to connect two days without result.

• Oracle 11G datapump and sequences issue

  I made a pattern (datapump: expdp) dump on a database 11G and any with impdp on another instance. I have removed all the objects schema before importing it on the destination instance. Import took place without problems. But after a while we got ora-0001 primary key violations. The reason why were some footage with a value less than the value in some tables. It seems Oracle dump first year sequence then the oracle data. They are out of sync. I thought datapump made coherent landfills. Is this a known issue?

• Oracle 11g RAC and Clusterware several houses of the databases

  We plan to install grid 11 GR 2 Clusterware on several series P IBM AIX 5.3 servers and combine them together.
  
  Advising several of the DBA in my shop to install the clusterware and ASM under an AIX user id (for example, crsuser) and then implement various database houses (we plan 2 databases for this cluster) under different pseudos of AIX software (for example, users oradb1 and oradb2). So the clusterware will run on AIX user id crsuser, and the first database would be executed using AIX user id oradb1, the second database would use AIX user id oradb2. Will this work?

  I deleted the links to Documents and photos on my start page. Link names are still there, but they are going nowhere. How is it possible to recreeate the new links that are actually going to My Documents and pictures? I also cleaned my basket so that is no longer an option.

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  In Docushare, characteristic eForms is the part of Docushare but webcenter coontent, OCR is produced separate and distinct requirements of the webcenter content.

  WFR classifies documents and use of OCR full-page or zonal to extract data. It is no secret that it's an OEM of Brainware version that runs on the Windows architecture. It does not require IIS to work but the Auditor on the web (for OCR error correction) requires IIS, or you can use the thick client or Citrix. It is not an add-on for Webcenter content but a full-fledged product. It comes preconfigured for the extraction of the Bill because it is part of the Solution Oracle Bill accelerator that includes a workflow Webcenter Imaging /BPEL for the cost of treatment that interacts with the EBS. IMO this is the best Bill Extractor of data out there specifically for the extraction of the line, but you can set up to classify and extract data from any type of OCRable document and send out some DM system you like and lats.

  The equivalent used by Docushare is a rival product OEM ABBYY, you would have to make a thorough study of each to determine what are the missing features, I think that would take someone experienced a week and an inexperienced person too long to be useful.

  What do you mean by "port number"? HTTP port (usually 8080), or listening port (normally 1521)?

  To change the name of the service, you can use (as a DBA or SYSDBA)

  SQL > alter system set service_name = '';

  IM receiving a sqlldr: not found error. IM is going to discuss with our system of administration of the situation. Before I wanted to make sure that SQL Loader (sqlldr) is an add-on available for customer Oracle 11. A colleague mentioned SQLLDR maybe isn't available as an add-on in the Oracle 11 client and that we should rather use IMPORT/EXPORT. Is that a true statement?

  SQL * Loader is certainly available in 11.1 or 11.2 full client install. It may or may not be a component that is installed by default according to the type of installation you choose during installation. But you can always go back and install this component.

  If you mean the instant customer, I'm not sure that SQL * Loader or import and export work with the Instant Client.

  And just to the point, if you are using 11g, you usually would using external tables rather than SQL * Loader.

  The steps that do not appear in the document you mentioned are included in this document. It takes you through the necessary extra step for the installation of Oracle BPM. Although for 11.1.1.4, it works very well for implementing 11.1.15 in a DEV environment.
