• Why my corrected image has non-uniform scaling (mm/pixel)?

  I use Vision tools of OR to calibrate nonlinear distortions by imaging a calibration of the spoaced points unfirmly image.  I have spread this information of calibration to calibrate a series of images taken under the same conditions as my calibration grid.  Then, I need to correct these images before I can make dimensional measurements. (Due to the nature of the processing routine measurement I need that these images corrected first).  I also need to enter the actual conversion to the images corrected to this measure of processing routine.  I get this by using the Pixel convert to real World.vi for each pixel in the image in order to see any variability within the image. I suppose this conversion value is consistent thoughout the picture but it isn't and ranges from 10%.

  Can anyone help explain what might happen?

  Secondly, in the correction of my images I only have the interpolation methods: zero order and bilinear.  Quadratic and cubic splines are grayed out.  Not sure why this is?

  Another detail - calibration results NOR are valid within the calibration grid.  The numbers get anywhere outside the grid.  They get also a little wacky on the borders between the boxes.

  Loop through each pixel is a way to do it, but it is slow.  The only other possible approach I can think of is to map the image to a corrected image.  You can see distortions in this way, but you wouldn't have measurements for them.  I might consider to check every pixel on the other, given that the scale factors are not changing too quickly.

  As a newbie in LabVIEW, I don't know a lot about machine vision.

  I need for my project automation, stitching the images (from 4 cameras, 90 degrees). Do the perspective correction and then form a label (which is actually pasted on the jar).

  Please share your experience on the same type of project. And help me to proceed with the development of the project.

  PS: Due to budgetary constraints, I use very basic USB cameras available, and the attached picture is the actual image.

  To be able to correct the image for distortion, you first have to calibrate it. Assuming that your setting of the camera is constant (i.e. the bottle always at the same place in what concerns the cameras, I would first of all paste a grid around the bottle calibration and then take a few pictures of this grid with all four cameras.)

  We install a calibration grid, you can print: C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Vision\Documentation\CalibrationGrid.pdf

  This example will then show how you can learn the calibration using the images of the grid, and then the correct images would have taken you without the grid.

  Note that you need to recalibrate the system if something changes (lens focus, camera or bottle of position.

  After this step, you should have 4 images 'straight' which have been corrected for distortion and which can be used for sewing.

  For sewing, unfortunately, Vision Development Module does not include an exit of the seams of box function.

  If this is acceptable, you can use some third party software that provide features couture, such as Photoshop Autostitch, Hugin, Ptgui, Panorama Tools, search for Microsoft Image Composite Editor, CleVR Stitcher or Adobe Systems.

  If you need to do everything in LabVIEW, I can point you to some of the tools provided with the library you can use to create your own algorithm of seam. This part is certainly the most difficult of your project.

  Image stitching process can be divided into three major components - image calibration, registration and fusion. We already talked about calibration.

  -Image recording is to couple features in your images in order to align them. You can use tools like the corresponding model and edge detection for this purpose Watch examples of vision LabVIEW to know how to code in LabVIEW.

  -Image mix is to process the images to account for the difference in brightness of images from several cameras.

  Histogram analysis on the different images and applying a lookup table are simple tools that you can use for this purpose.

  Images can then mingle with features like IMAQ ImageToImage.

• How to restore the system recovery files to their original location? (HP Pavilion p6540F desktop computer)

  I have a desktop HP Pavilion P6540F under Windows 7 Home Premium. A few days ago there was a problem with windows that virtually wiped out my OS and I had to restore my computer to factory settings. Before restoring my computer I backed up all my files on a disk. After Reinstalling windows, I placed the drive with all my files recovery on it in my computer and running the recovery .exe file that has started downloading my files. All of this worked perfectly well but the problem is that these files only stored in a file on my desktop and has not been restored to its original location. Is it possible to get these files to restore to the correct locations on my computer without having to manually, drag the files to their old location? Honestly, I don't know where many of these files were located before the restoration and many items such as preferences for certain programs are impossible for me to move. Thanks for the help.

  The backup that is used to recover only restores the files in a folder, leaving the owner to move. I agree, not the application of backup more useful, but better than nothing I guess.

  It's not just me, but I have problems with my lock screen. Any image I use the image is the right size and color aren't (almost like a filter of Sarcelles is imposed).

  My native screen resolution is 5760 x 1080. I tried for some screen resolutions, both the original and the current. Even the original will not display correctly.

  Well, well, well. After you disable the lock for a while screen, today I decided to re-activated it. I love nail polish it gives for WIn8 only that my plan was to use a solid color.

  Imagine my surprise when applied wallpaper appears with the correct aspect ratio.

  Even more surprised that it allows me to use ANY wallpaper now and they look all perfect; 16:9, ultra wide-angle (surround), it does not matter. Everyone is properly rendered to the screen.

  If anyone from MS is reading this, thank you. I know how Visual, aesthetic items will fall to the bottom of the to do list due to the perception of someone, they are trivial and not important.

• Import of images using Photoshop space of hard drive on my computer?

  I'm new to Photoshop Elements. I have about 50 GB of images stored in the Documents or Dropbox on my computer and the memory becomes short. If I import all these organizing elements will be they actually duplicated with another 50 GB of memory or will I cut and pasting (i.e.taking from their original location) or what?

  The photo files are not stored in the Organizer. They are where you put on the disk. Think the Organizer to catalog in a library, but to refine a search with use of labels and albums.

• LR 2.5 move original files in c:/user/images

  I don't think what he used to do this, before I upgraded to 2.5.

  Basically, the problem is that whenever I open a RAW (cr2 file in my case) file, it moves the CR2 and the JPEG of the image of C:/Users/username/pictures rather than keep them in their original location as she used to do in LR 2.4 E:/photos.

  When you "open" an image with LR, you will get a first import dialog box. Ensure that, in the import dialog box, you do not have a move photos to a new location and add it to the catalog of game, but rather to Add pictures to the catalog without moving.

• Put iTunes Media folder back in its original location?

  I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to a 2 TB SSD is more partition my main drive.  I used to keep iTunes Media folder on a separate data partition.  Now, I would like to return the iTunes Media folder to its original location / considered.

  Is there a particular process I should follow?  Any tips?  What should I watch out for, so I don't lose anything?

  First of all, you can make a copy of the media on a separate volume of additional backup, if you can.

  You don't say where the media folder is now, but if it's on the old disk, just copy or move the folder iTunes media to users / your name/music/iTunes. Open iTunes preferences / advanced, and then set the location of the iTunes media folder by change to hit and then navigate to the iTunes folder and select the folder that you moved.

  I have a big problem in the acquisition of the images using the PCI-1410.

  We also had a lot of problems in the past with different PCs and the problem came from the motherboard. Since that time, we only use motherboards with intel because we know that labview works very well with them.

• How can I move files system recovery to the original location?

  I use Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion P6000 series.  I believe that the Recovery Manager created Windows System Recovery Files folder on the C: drive (from .wim files) created on an external drive, and I want to move them to the original location.  Just copy or move everything to the C: drive, or is it an executable program that does this?

  You can drag-and - drop the TRASH, as well as for the trash.  It will probably be easier if you change the 'view' of the folder to 'List' Recycle bin and then use the Windows standard click-shift-click to select a batch of files to drag to your destination folder specified.
