• Icloud mail and Outlook 2016

  I can't authenticate on icloud mail using outlook 2016 mac.  This just started about 3 months ago.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I have the latest version of outlook installed.  I'm on OS 10.11.6.  I can access access icloud mail through the apple mail application.

  The problem is that there is a break down in the security setting with communication between Outlook and iCloud. in 16.0.6868.2067 iCloud function and you may upgrade to the latest version.   I installed the new iCloud (v5.2.1.69) and found that it does not work with Outlook 2016 (16.0.6965.2053). There is no button "Options"... "to"Mail, Contacts, calendars and tasks"(see photo).   I have exactly the same problem with the latest version of iCloud.  I have Outlook 2016 and 10 Windows and when I try to install iCloud there saying "set up" next "Mail, Contacts, calendars and tasks.  I left it for hours and it does not go beyond this point.  Outlook displays the listed add-in but it is not doing anything.  I tried to remove all of the Apple software, and then reinstall iCloud without result. I've deleted and reinstalled MS Office and then tried to reinstall iCloud - once again no luck.

  Given that it only happens with only one item, see if you can save the item by using the Save as function and then save it in lets say HTML format or one of the other available formats and then open the saved document and see if it will print.  The other thing you can try is to go the printing file then click Properties and check the settings for paper size, type and other parameters and compare with documents that print that sometimes, a document can have a parameter that is not good and it confuses the printer and gives error.

  So I searched Apple Support and see several threads that say 2016 Outlook is not supported yet and an update is coming.  But on the page of the iCloud site Apple where it lists the configuration system requirements, it is said that 2016 Outlook is supported.  I am confused and frustrated.  Help, please!

  I found an answer in the topic Outlook 2016 that solved the problem.  You will need to go to the Windows Control Panel and fix Outlook or repair Office 365 in my case.  Basically, this caused the range of office 2016 to be reinstalled.  Then, without opening Outlook, I went to iCloud and reinstalled the iCloud for Windows app.  This time the option Synchronize Mail, Contacts and calendar was active, so I checked it and then click on apply.  It then proceeds to download all my contacts and calendars to iCloud.  I am more confused and frustrated, but I'm a little angry with Microsoft to get out an automatic update which screwed up my Outlook to synchronize iCloud and making me spend 3 hours of research and the implementation of the solution.  Maybe I'll get an iMac for my next computer.
