Outlook ceased to send receive (0x800CCC1A) on February 18, 2010

My Outlook 2007 stopped sending & received February 18, 2010.   I use a POP3 (lavabit) Server account.    It worked perfectly since Outlook 2007 was installed a couple of years, until February 18, 2010.   I get the error report 0x800CCC1A 'your server does not support the encryption type, you specify' it gives to think I have change the encryption type, what I've done.   I suggest then that I contact my e-mail service administrator (who did not) or my ISP (who tell me this isn't their problem), if you change the type of encryption failed.   This error occurred immediately after the download & install several updates office (including sp1 & 2) against MS.   It worked fine before that these updates, then he did not after.   I tried to restore my system to a point before these updates, nothing helps.   None of these updates show in the list of programs in the Add/Remove Programs, so I'm unable to remove the manually.   Help, please

  • Send/receive is gray in Outlook Express.

Went to open outlook express this morning as I did for years, it is said there is some change and I need to 'import messages and contacts' or 'contacts only' etc.  I try to close it won't shut me down, says I have to decide, so I Cancel.   Box goes, I see no outlook, but the message is "Welcome to Outlook Express 6" anyway, my contacts are there, but all my Inbox, etc is empty and the send/receive is gray (as in does not).  I didn't ask for an update, don't want one - I want just that my old outlook express back and especially my messages.  I know that this is not a program purchased, but also I had not requested any change, wonder what's happening on the end of microsoft changing?

OE got probably confused as to where was the message store.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 and you will probably find the old message store that you can import.

According to Shane, it actually open Outlook instead of OE (but you may have gotten it) so see here to make sure OE has the default value (www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx)

    Repost on the Inbox.

    Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.

Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Outlook Express 6 - can receive messages but not send - error number: 0x800CCC0E

Original title: Outlook Express 6 - can receive messages but not send

I recently installed SP3 on my Windows XP machine and installed Internet Explorer 8. After that, Outlook stopped mail (still receives, if) and gave me this error message:

    Hi John,.

Follow the steps described in the article below

Troubleshooting error messages that you receive when you try to send and receive e-mail in Outlook and Outlook Express (OE)

  • Outlook 2003 is not sending/receiving e-mails

When I press send/receive all goes through, as there is no problem.  There is no error message.  The only error message I get is when I turn on and outside outlook.  I don't have a copy of this error message

Original title: my Mirosoft Outlook 2003 is not sending/receiving e-mails. On the bottom of the screen, it shows that the emails are coming, but they do not appear in my Inbox. I know that my POP/SMTP and the internet are all working properly.

I get the error (0 x 80042109) - Outlook cannot connect to your mail server outgoing (SMTP).  Am no computer wiz, so need simple answers.  Can someone help here?  Or maybe delayed retirement!

  • Cannot send emails via outlook express, but can receive

can't send emails via outlook express but can receive.

    Get following error message

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. "The sender's e-mail address was..., Server:...', Protocol: SMTP, server response: ' 451 4.3.2 Please try again later ', Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 451, error number: 0x800CCC78

    It is only to start.

My email [email protected] mail.optusnet.com.au Server address

Took the floor to the supplier (Optusnet) & they say it's a problem to microsoft

And this is your address which is rejected, correct? This happens if you try to send a message to yourself?

My money is on a server problem that will clear up on its own, but you can try a few things to eliminate that he's on your side.

1: Disable the analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program.  It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email
    http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

Note that for many AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option is available.

2: Create a new sent items and Outbox.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

  • (outlook 2003) send/receive emails

  • Outlook will not automatically send and receive e-mails. How to send/receive when I open Outlook

My wife and I have an e-mail account.  I may as well put in place without problem.  I can't get outlook to send/receive emails at the start, and I can't remember my password.  How can I do this and where is it written?

In Outlook, while watching your Inbox, press Alt + Ctrl + S.  This should open the dialog box send/receive groups.  Check the box ' plan a shipment / auto receive all ' and specify an interval of 10 minutes.  If this option is enabled, Outlook will schedule a send/receive when it starts as well.

There are several reasons why your credentials can not be recalled, but any suggestion of a solution depends on your version of Outlook, assuming that your version of WIndows is Windows 7, since you posted in a forum for Windows 7.  You should post your question in a forum of Outlook, such as http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlookacct/threads

  • Send/receive button not there on Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, when installed on a computer with Windows 7.

I have a new computer come with Windows 7 on it. But he had no office on this subject. I got my Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and installed on this computer. First, all programs (Word, Publisher, etc.) open, except Outlook. There was an error code. So, we found ourselves completely uninstall and then reinstall Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.

Now this time, Outlook open very well, but there was no send/receive button to be seen. No, there will be no in the buttons add tab or the other. He is nowhere to be seen. WTF?

No send/receive button is usually no e-mail accounts have been set up.  Have you created an e-mail account?
