Outlook express 6 sends multiple copies of the message to each receiver

When I send e mali, recipients get multiple copies of the mail, may seem that if mail is sent to two people, they receive 2 copies, 3 people 3 copies and so on

I suggest you post a much more complete description of your problem (including the types of e-mail accounts, how you select the recipient, how do you send the message) to the correct group. • My Outlook Express to send sends multiple copies of the same emails at random - help!

My Outlook Express has a small problem recently.   When I send emails - they soar in the Outbox and send 15-20 ++ emails to recipients and remain in the Outbox until I have remove them - this happens randomly.

Make sure you have set it to break apart messages under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced.  Also check 3rd party interference, such as the antivirus program.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 if you still have problems, then move all the sent items in another folder and close OE and delete the sent items.dbx and outbox.dbx (hidden) and start OE files it will create new ones, and that might solve corruption.  You can also try to go to the file. Identities and setup a new identity and see if that fixes the problems.

  • I imported the messages from Outlook Express 6 to Windows Mail, but the messages do not appear in the storage folder. What I am doing wrong?

I see the process of imported messages. He created and "Imported folder", but there is nothing in it.

See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm there are specific directions he with a lot of hoops to make it work, because it is very buggy.  Also, make sure that the folder that you tried to import does have messages inside (you can open the file with Notepad dbx and looking for something readable or zip it and if it zips down to nothing, so full of nothing).

  • Mail in Outlook Express 6 does not leave the box shipping and beneficiaries say they receive multiple copies of the same message.

    original title: Outlook Express 6.0

Recently, when I send an e-mail message by using Outlook Express 6.0 three things happen:

    (1) he does not leave the Outbox, unless I have to go in and manually remove it.

    (2) my report of recipients receiving multiple copies of the same message (for example, received the same email 6 times)

    (3) my sent folder is not updated with the emails I sent.

I'd appreciate any help that could be offered.

    Thank you!

Your sent items folder is corrupted.  Move or copy messages from the folder that you want to keep.  Then close OE and delete the file sent items.dbx and outbox.dbx (hidden).  OE will then create new ones, and that should solve the problem.

Because your files has been corrupted, you might consider backup before they get completely corrupt and in addition, you could go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  This will give you a base of new messages, not corrupted, and you then go to file | Import | Messages and import them from the old identity.

  • When I send an email on Outlook Express, he won't out of the box shipping, but continues to send once a minute until I remove in the Outbox.

When I send an email on Outlook Express, he won't out of the box shipping, but continues to send once a minute until I remove in the Outbox.

You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

For some reason, I can't get my Outlook Express to send my emails... they do not connect or send failed... what I am doing wrong to cause this... I have used Outlook Express in the past and had no problem with it... Also, how can I know what e-mail programs POP3 or request the program Outlook Express? Could you please clarify this for me, thanks...

I use Windows Live Mail as my regular e-mail address... but I can use a different e-mail to another e-mail program to configure Outlook Express?

Visit the website of your email provider and see if they have instructions to set up an account in Outlook Express.  They provide you with the appropriate settings.   Nobody here knows them, because they are specific to the e-mail provider.  So check with your provider of messaging on the correct settings to use for OE.

  • Could not get Outlook Express to send a copy to my server, so I can access it from another computer

I can not Outlook Express to send a copy of my e-mail messages to my server (Charter.net) so I can access it from another computer.  I tried to check the block that says "Send copy to the server", but that did not work.  Any suggestions?  I'm not a true computer person so that the answers should be very details.  Thank you.

The messages on your computer now, you would have to back to yourself, and then they would be on the server.  For the future, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the leave a copy of messages on the server.  Do it with another machine in order to get the messages on both machines.  Then also set one of them to delete messages from the server after a few days, so that they accumulate and fill the mailbox you.

  • Using Outlook Express 6 with multiple identities.

Had the hard drive problems.  He has been replaced by Dell warranty.  I have set up outlook express 6 with multiple identities.  I can't go from one to the other identity and return to the original, without having to restart my computer.  Dell has said that some things need to be changed to make it work properly.  They tell me what they were without a heavy load.  I used to use this feature with my old hard drive.  Help me please if you can...  Thanks in advance.

  • Outlook Express stopped sending and reception?

The wife of Outlook Express stopped sending and receiving side when I closed his side before the end of the download. I don't know where to go to fix this. Help?

Outlook is an Office program. Outlook Express is an email client that has been built into XP and previous versions. If you click on "help |" On... "in Outlook, it will tell you the version.

I know almost nothing about other Outlook versions prior to the 2003 version are not compatible with Win7.

Steve may have more to offer, but if not, you should try to ask experts Outlook here.

  • Multiple copies of the same mail and "unresponsive".

I have fought with Thunderbird for about a week now and have had no chance to solve my problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I tried all the suggestions on the FAQ page.

    Here are my symptoms:
-Make multiple copies of the same email with the same time stamp.
    -Not pulling new e-mail messages.
-Whenever I try to navigate upwards or downwards in the Inbox or open an email TB will does not.
-J' got warnings from the following script:
    Script: resource://gre/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm:323
    Script: chrome://messenger/content/mailWindow.js:179

    Here is what I tried:
-J' completely removed and reinstalled TB (and recovered my profile).
    -J' have compressed files.
    -J' rebuilt the database world.
-From TB in safe mode does not seem to make a big difference.

  • Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to initialize the store directory. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. Error code: 0 x 80007114

Operating system Windows XP, at startup, I get the message: "Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to initialize the store directory. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full"and displays the error code: 0 x 80007114.  (I have a new drive hard with enough space) Outlook Express always open well and functioning normally.  The message mentions and how to fix the problem?  Thank you, Rick

Jump here (nothing Bruce suggested is false), I did a search and found this old article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245419), which indicates that there is a bad entry under the identity key in the registry (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background).  So if it's a big problem, you can do the steps suggested in this article and that will fix it.  Or if you have just one account, then backup your settings and the identity key and then delete the identity key and then start OE and it will establish a new, and you can then set up your account again, and then import the messages from the older directory.  But it does not indicate the major corruption, so you can just ignore it.

  • Email sent using gmail pop, while on outlook express 6 is checked in to the gmail server sent the file, but not on my express outlook sent folder.

Original title: problem with outlook express 6 and gmail

Email sent using gmail pop, while on outlook express 6 is checked in to the gmail server sent the file, but not on my express outlook sent folder.  How can I have email sent appear in Outlook express 6 sent folder.  I put it as pop not imap

    Any suggestions?

Check in OE under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and ensure that it is not set to IMAP.  It seems to me that if you use IMAP folders.  If it isn't, in addition to the suggestion of Umesh, you can try to go to file | Identities and install a new identity and add your POP3 account and see if it works very well.
