Outlook express 6 will not receive any e-mail, send e-mail

Outlook express 6 will not receive any email from verizon but not email.  Tired separate identify and clear and redo account?

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'incoming.verizon.net', server: 'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800C0133

Now it means everything. Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.

Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    This is due to floating files, the result of many messages in the Inbox, or lack of compaction.

    Move all messages you want to save out of the Inbox, deleted items, and sent items in local folders, you create. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

    If there is no message in the Inbox you want to, but can not move after return, before doing anything more.

  • Outlook express 6 will not let me the photos 'BEFORE' that I get

    I use Outlook Express 6 and cannot transfer photos that I receive in my Inbox. The pictures show well in my email, but when I send to my friends, only the 'TEXT' is considered. There is a box with an "X" in it where the pictures are supposed to be. Someone know why? I "CHECKED" the function "SEND PICTURES WITH the EMAIL" under
    OPTIONS', 'SEND '.

    For some messages, images coming along well.  Try to send a message with a picture to yourself and then send it to yourself and see if you still get the image.  If Yes, then this is the specific messages you want to convey, that probably doesn't conform to Internet standards.  So instead of the message, use Message | Forward so that attachment, then the images will display correctly.

    What the title says - I probed this website and Windows Live Solution Center for each possible answer and followed all the advice I was given.

    * I have tried repairing MSN

    * I tried to remove and reinstall

    * I tried to clear the cache

    * I deleted my contact folder

    I'm not in a new location, I don't do anything differently. I noticed last week, there was some lag with sending / receiving messages, but now, whenever someone me messages either starts me or I do not receive the message.

    I even created a new SN and it still gives me problems. I don't understand. I have not installed any software suspicious, just regular updates that Windows sends to me.

    Help, please!

    Hi Mdawson289,

    As you mentioned that you have visited the Windows live solutions Center which is the forum for all questions MSN and hotmail, none of the above steps worked for you.

    There is nothing unless we can make as a work around you can download and install the latest Windows Live messenger, published by Microsoft, for example, Windows live messenger 2011 and check if the problem persists.

  • In Windows XP, Outlook Express 6 will not be open.

    original title: GLT ouside oe will not open

    I installed: WinXP and OE 6

    On my laptop if I clik email .eml file and I choose OE program to open it, it opens OE but not open the e-mail. This is starting to happen a month ago.

    The onliy to open the electronic mail is to drag the file to the open OE and click on it.

    If I copy the same eml file on my desk if I click it, it will open the e OE opened the e-mail.

    Kind regards

    Try the reinstatement of OE: www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx

    It could also be a permissions issue on the directory that contains the eml file that prevents OE to open, because it works from the desktop.  Check other directories outside the office and perhaps its own only in this directory, which contains the eml files.  Also check if the eml file is read-only.  OE has problems sometimes with readonly files.

  • How can I install outlook express I DO NOT LIKE WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

    I don't like windows live mail hoe can install express look?

    On Friday, November 2, 2012 17:59:29 + 0000, Billie Skov says:

    I don't like windows live mail

    I'm not either. I think it's the worst email program I've ever seen.

    But there are a lot of other choices of e-mail programs, some for sale
    and some are free.

    can hoe I install express look?

    You can not. Outlook Express disappeared for several years. Windows
    XP was the last version of Windows to include it.

    You have chosen to install Windows Live Mail or is it entered
    preinstalled on your computer? If your computer came with Windows 7
    pre-installed and also Windows Live Mail, which is not because Windows 7
    came with it, it is because your computer manufacturer delivered it
    with what he sold you.

    Some people will tell you to use Windows Live Mail; others will say
    You can use Thunderbird; still others may have other recommendations.

    My advice is to ignore all of these recommendations. I personally use
    Microsoft Outlook for the mail and Forte Agent for groups of discussion, but you
    must try several and choose what you prefer, rather than
    your decision based on what I, or anyone else, like better (or even
    what Microsoft suggests).

  • Outlook express 6 will not let me delete emails

    I can't delete emails from my Inbox on my outlook file Express 6. I can read them and then they show that I have, however none will remove.

    [I swear to you that I had already answered in this post!]

    1. move all the messages that you want to keep out of the folders Inbox, sent items and deleted items and in other local OE folders have created you for archiving (backup) of such messages.

    2. Note the location of the store of your identity (http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain).

    2B. turn on "Show hidden folders and files" via start | Control Panel | Folder options | View (see http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html).

    3. close OE.

    4. in Windows Explorer, navigate to your storage folder, find & delete the files Inbox.dbx , Outbox.dbx, Sent Items.dbxand Deleted Items.dbx.

    5 empty the trash.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    To avoid such problems in the future, comply with the following restrictions:
    N ' not use Inbox or sent items to archive messages.  Move them to local folders created for this purpose.
    -Empty the deleted items folder daily.
    -Frequently perform a manual compact of all OE while records that "work offline".  More on http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm
    -Do not cancel automatic compacting, where it would happen and do not try to close OE via Manager tasks or stop your Automatic compaction machine can take place.
    -Disable e-mail scanning in your antivirus application.  It can cause corruption (i.e., loss of messages) and offers no additional protection:
  • BlackBerry Q10 Q10 will not receive any email unless that restarted
    From a few days ago my Q10 you will receive email only if I reboot it.
    I have 10.3.2.2474.
    I did not any changes of the BONE or the parameters - I just noticed recently that no e-mail had come, even if I was getting emails on my cell phone.
    This happened to me about a year after the update of the OS and I had to remove and re-setup my email account to fix it - but as I said I did not ANY changes to the settings or OS when it began.
    I delete the email account and try again, but I can backup is no longer the Q10 with link as my laptop is now Windows 10 and who seems to be a quite different problem...
    Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
    Hello and welcome to the community!
    With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):
    1) register HRT
    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a "registration successful" popup message
    2) restart
    • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. But...
    doctortj wrote:
    I delete the email account and try again, but I can save is no longer the Q10 with link
    UH... what? I don't understand the correlation. Delete and re - integrating an e-mail account has nothing to do with making a backup via LINK. So I don't understand why you can't do it.
    doctortj wrote:
    Yes... discussed elsewhere:
    I'm sure there are other threads... but the fundamental question is if you have made the upgrade to Win10 with LINK installed, then you need very clean (which is a manual procedure of the entries in registry, folders, hidden directories, etc.) remove all traces of the BB software, then reinstall from scratch. Others have succeeded with that, so we know that it works.
    Good luck and let us know!
  • BUG? Will not receive any calls while using data/Internet
    Is there anyone who has this problem? If I am just checking something on google and someone calls me the call goes directly to voice mail and the only way I even know that what has happened is if they leave a message. On my old palm if I was using the web and a call came the call took preference. Is it possible to have my phone do this?
    This isn't a problem with the Palm or the meadow. This is how works the CDMA. You can't in a session of data and voice at the same time. If you are in an ACTIVE session data (data are actively moving from server to the device or server), then phone calls will go to voicemail. However, if you read just a webpage (any text) and its been entirely not downloaded, there should be no data moving then calls must come through.
    It's that way for all Sprint devices.
