Outlook Express emails to Yahoo account
I have configured Outlook Express to send an email and I have imported all my emails from my yahoo account for Outlook Express. I thought that my original email would remain in yahoo, but they are all gone. How can I send them all back to my yahoo account. If I delete Outlook Express, then all my emails will be gone. Someone please help.
There is no easy way to get back them on the Yahoo Server. What you can do is to backup your OE folders (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx) and in the future, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the box that says to leave a copy of messages on the server, and then they will remain on the server when download you them in OE. Otherwise, EO tells the server to remove.

Remove Outlook Express emails to Hotmail account
I have an outlook express in my old laptop and I downloaded all my emails on my hotmail account. I just bought a new laptop and I want to keep these emails. How can I remove them from Outlook Express and store them in the hotmail account?
You can take the data of Outlook Express store and import that into Windows Live Mail.
Windows Live Mail can establish a direct synchronization to a Hotmail account connection (use Outlook Express POP3 which is download-only).

I can't delete the emails of one of my Outlook Express email accounts.
Outlook Express for emailHi all. I am running Microsoft Windows XP on my computer. I use Outlook Express for e-mail. Currently, I'm unable to delete the emails of one of my Outlook Express email accounts. Everyone knows about this problem? All proposed solutions?Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.
Compact all folders as described below.
To avoid this in the future:
Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Cannot access Outlook Express email on computer so open on iPhone
original title: Outlook Express email on iPhone
I can't access Outlook Express on my computer recently, I opened my email on my iPhone. A way to solve this very annoying problem?
You cannot access Outlook Express, or you cannot access mail on Outlook Express?
If mail: OE has this option: tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server. You also need to find the equivalent of this on your iPhone and check there as well.
On a single computer only, check to delete messages after X days to satisfy your allocated space you get from your server, but you give the possibility to download at once.

messages disappeared from Outlook Express (Inbox) e-mail account
Most of my messages "Inbox floder" has simply disappeared from my Outlook Express email. There were some files with images on them that I really want to come back. I want to know if I can get back them on my PC and if so, how could I do.
Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.
Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compactWhy mail disappears:
http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgoneAbout file Corruption:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspxRecovery tools:
If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspxAnd see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4A general warning to help avoid this in the future:
Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.
Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?
I need to group together all messages from e-mail in a PC and to retire the first PC.
This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy. One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder. And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.
